Ingredients
4 medium size zucchinis
1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
5 cloves garlic, chopped
2 green onions, sliced
2 heaping tbsp Saewoojeot, Korean salted & fermented shrimp (you can substitute to fish sauce or soy sauce)
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tbsp gochugaru, optional
2 tsp cooking oil
sesame seeds for garnish
sesame oil for garnish
It's last recipe from my mom! I meant for now! lol She's on the way to Korea right now (she lives in U.S, adjust visiting Korea), hope she has lots of fun in Korea!! It's a special knife, Korean-made knives have a special made bottom just for that! My mom's knife is like that, I still need to find one for myself.

U can just crush using side of the knife. Put flat side of the knife on the garlic and smash it sth your palm

My mom made a version of this except no syrup or fermented shrimp, used soy sauce and cubed spam lol sooooo good.

I just make this and it got spicy 🌶️ the only issue is that fermented shrimp cannot be bought in Sweden 🇸🇪
So I used oyster sauce instead as you recommended.

I've been making a lot of Korean food lately. You and your mom are so cute. And I have noticed it's normally onion green onion and garlic and then sesame oil, soy sauce and soy bean paste. Can I ask do you guys ever use ginger or is it just not used as often? I love using onion ginger and garlic together so I wondered. I also love adding maple syrup to asian recipes.
