Hi everyone, I have just uploaded a brand new Arctic Monkeys reverse drum chronology! I hope you will all enjoy it! ua-cam.com/video/Xv4Zi4DDgiU/v-deo.html
Ricardo Castro I agree. Not their easiest listen. But the hollow and uneasy sounding production, and searing almost spiteful attitude through the whole album definitely gives it a very unique feel. Some of their most interesting musical ideas show up there as well.
Great record indeed! Excellent dirty, punky, angular QotSA. Much better than Lullabies or Like Clockwork, both of which are inconsistent for me and get a bit too polished and poppy. Though both have great moments, I've trimmed and re-sequenced both albums in my iTunes to my own liking.
It must be insanely difficult to switch so quickly between different drum parts with different tempos and sometimes different time signatures all in a single take. Great fucking work.
I was watching your Arctic Monkeys chronology and half way through I was thinking how good it would be if you had done a QOTSA one too. Great taste in music and incredible talent!
That's the funny thing, I can't hear an evolution at all, all those songs are timeless and I'll struggle when I'm older to tell you what album they came from.
Damn... hearing the whole catalogue with snippets like this really helps to get me to appreciate their whole sound. Era Vulgaris got me into them in the first place, but as my tastes have changes I think I'd have to put Lullabies or Rated R as my favourite QOTSA album... but I dunno. There are maybe three tracks in the whole lineup that I don't like. That's a pretty good record for me.
Wow. I can only imagine how hard it is to swtch between all those songs. Very impressive. You're going. To have to do it again when their new album comes out in august.
Era Vulgaris sounds like a party at night in a burning power station with strippers and monster trucks and all the drugs in the middle of a hurricane as lightning crashes around everywhere. It's underrated af
Man, I was really hoping for the verse instead of the chorus on Give the Mule What He Wants. The way that song just pounds the beat into you is fucking unreal
I LOVE how tight you held - and hard you hit your hi hat in Kalopsia. Crisp. Right straight into and out of it. SO good. ALL of this is crazy good. The different touches/feels song to song are the most impressive things to me. The accuracy of the tracks is already on point and right but light to heavy to soft to crisp to partially open to fully to closed to gentle fills to heavy fills to light foot to stomp... Yeah. Nice.
Wow, recently got into QOTSA and loved how their music sounds, but you play their drums like it's nothing, keep doing what you're doing man... What a show you play.
That’s what he gets me to like subscribe and comment being one of the most lazy people alive. The creativity that you put in to combine two bars of each song, in chronological order, was divine art! Congrats for the very big good work. It is just art celebrating art. Art-ception in a very enjoyable way, almost pure divine. Thanks for the work and for. Sharing it with us. Have fun playing!
Dude!?!?!?! You absolutely NAILED IT!!!!! By far one of the coolest videos on You Tube. Totally killed it, every single song!!! Love it Love it Love it Love it!!!! I think you got the job

Jamie Warren I’m so glad your back! by the way I’m a huge fan of Arctic monkeys and queens of the Stone Age so thank you for uploading!
Jamie Warren do a royal blood chronology!!
Era vulgaris is so underrated in my opinion. I think it's so unique and different! Definitely my second favorite of their discography
Ricardo Castro I agree. Not their easiest listen. But the hollow and uneasy sounding production, and searing almost spiteful attitude through the whole album definitely gives it a very unique feel. Some of their most interesting musical ideas show up there as well.
Ricardo Castro It's my favorite of theirs!

ejifanejafjaeljfljel another great thing is how QotSA fans have such a variety of tastes. I'm designer and misfit love are two of my favourite songs 😀
Ricardo Castro I think that album had a lot of misses compared to all the other albums
After watching this video it makes me really want to go on a full on discography marathon through all of QOTSA's music.
You should
and the B sides ;)
I do that like every month for the last 6 years
same here. great band!
I'm basically listeng to one of their albums a day. Then weirdly this got recommended to me.
It must be insanely difficult to switch so quickly between different drum parts with different tempos and sometimes different time signatures all in a single take. Great fucking work.

I love how when Songs For the Deaf started the set immediately started shaking and moving
No doubt one of the best bands of all time. Songs for the Deaf is one of the best albums of all time.
I was watching your Arctic Monkeys chronology and half way through I was thinking how good it would be if you had done a QOTSA one too. Great taste in music and incredible talent!
Why was that so fucking good
their evolution is so damn incredible
That's the funny thing, I can't hear an evolution at all, all those songs are timeless and I'll struggle when I'm older to tell you what album they came from.
This just reminded me how much I love ...Like Clockwork.
Awesome. But where’s?....
“The real song for the deaf”
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahaaaaaaaaa

The only thing I achieved by watching this is a desire to rag QOTSA songs all day, but I do that already.

Dustin Balog What? 9000?! There’s no way that can be right!

Queens of the Stone Age songs are hard to do. Josh Homme always picks good drummers. Good job, man.
GREATEST BAND IN HUMAN HISTORY
WHILE I DP AGREE THEY ARE GREAT BUT I WOULDN'T SAY THAT. I BELIEVE THERE ARE MAYBE A COUPLE BETTER ONES. ALSO WHY ARE WE YELLING?

I'm sad for how wide your view is
The Cavemen were pretty good.
Man. I love Dave's work on Songs For the Deaf. It's truly excellent.
Couldn't agree more! Fantastic drummer he is.
Much More better than anyone... More complex, more resource, more tempo... Everyone else is just speed
As a huge fan of QOTSA, this is so masterfully executed!
I never get tired to watch this one more time whenever it appears in my recommendations. So satisfying to watch!
Thanks for watching!
QOTSA has such range, this really shows that well. Jamie's got mad skilz, thanks for taking time to put this together and share.
Cheers! And thank you for taking the time to check it out!
3:06 this backbeat opening messed my brain up XP
Damn... hearing the whole catalogue with snippets like this really helps to get me to appreciate their whole sound. David Kamminga I don't think I will do an updated video with the new album, but I will certainly do something about it!
when Turning on the screw hits you know you're into some weird shit
Play I Appear Missing on 2x speed and it becomes some funky shit.

Yo a new version with villains and in times new Roman would be hype
Era Vulgaris sounds like a party at night in a burning power station with strippers and monster trucks and all the drugs in the middle of a hurricane as lightning crashes around everywhere. It's underrated af

This video makes me realize just how fucking much I love QOTSA. My absolute favorite band.
4:46 I never realized that but 3s & 7s kinda sounds like Song 2 by Blur lol
Man, I was really hoping for the verse instead of the chorus on Give the Mule What He Wants. The way that song just pounds the beat into you is fucking unreal

Alonso Garrido That means a lot dude, thanks so much!
not to say that playing a 6 minute song where every 4 or 8 beats the bpm changes is BRUTAL. Cheers man.
I LOVE how tight you held - and hard you hit your hi hat in Kalopsia. Crisp. Right straight into and out of it. SO good.
ALL of this is crazy good.

An absolute blast to watch, is play with you in a heart beat!!! Fantastic!!
Im blown away by this! Incredible to pull off so many short sections from these songs so seamlessly
JayPhonomancer Thanks for taking the time to check it out dude!
Hats off to you, Sir. What a blast to watch you pull it off!
God, it's both satisfying and depressing to see such intricate and difficult drumming sections pulled of so easily. Fantastic job, man :)
I always come back to this. So good.
this song reminds me- HOW DID I FORGET IN THE FADE
A+ for mastering all 75+ transitions. Unfortunately, I feel like Clockwork is hard to recognize in such short clips, but the rest is spot on.
LOVE it! Thanks for doing this. You are an exceptional drummer and a QOTSA fan, so you are my people!
Seeing you perform this, reminds me of the crazy amazing improbable things humans are capable of.
What?!?! Dude this is amazing. Much props. I can't imagine how long it took to make this.
im waiting for the new album
Alan Cruz You did it!
Promiscuous Dope Fiends Official not yet he didn't
breenmcgoo yeah, I figured that out shortly after posting. But decided it was slightly funny to leave it.
Promiscuous Dope Fiends Official he will have in one day!
It was awful :(
Incredible, no cuts in your Record? Congrats man, that s amazing
Phenomenal work managing BPM changes.
That’s what he gets me to like subscribe and comment being one of the most lazy people alive. The creativity that you put in to combine two bars of each song, in chronological order, was divine art! Wow. Simply amazing. I've always been a huge fan of the drumming in QOTSA. It's nice to see it performed. Anyway, really good stuff right here.
