Queens of the Stone Age - 6 Minute Drum Chronology - by Jamie Warren

- This is 6 minute drum chronology of Queens of the Stone Age and is the copyrighted property of its owner(s).
I never intended to make another drum chronology, but because of the incredible response to my Arctic Monkeys video, I decided to record this after seeing all of your requests for it! (And of course for my love of QOTSA!)
Here I play sections of drum parts to Queens of the Stone Age albums up to "...Like Clockwork", in year released and track list order in one whole take. Note that I missed out the tracks: If I Was a Teenage Hand Model, Lightning Song, Mosquito Song and This Lullaby because of the limited drumming so the video can stay at a good pace! (Also there are no bonus tracks in this video.)
This took a long time to put together so I would appreciate any comments, likes, shares and suggestions for future videos.
Enjoy!

Hi everyone, I have just uploaded a brand new Arctic Monkeys reverse drum chronology! I hope you will all enjoy it! ua-cam.com/video/Xv4Zi4DDgiU/v-deo.html
Jamie Warren I’m so glad your back! by the way I’m a huge fan of Arctic monkeys and queens of the Stone Age so thank you for uploading!
Jamie Warren do a royal blood chronology!!
It must be insanely difficult to switch so quickly between different drum parts with different tempos and sometimes different time signatures all in a single take. Great fucking work.
Era vulgaris is so underrated in my opinion. I think it's so unique and different! Definitely my second favorite of their discography
Ricardo Castro I agree. Not their easiest listen. But the hollow and uneasy sounding production, and searing almost spiteful attitude through the whole album definitely gives it a very unique feel. Some of their most interesting musical ideas show up there as well.
Ricardo Castro It's my favorite of theirs!
Great record indeed! Excellent dirty, punky, angular QotSA.
Much better than Lullabies or Like Clockwork, both of which are inconsistent for me and get a bit too polished and poppy. Though both have great moments, I've trimmed and re-sequenced both albums in my iTunes to my own liking.
ejifanejafjaeljfljel another great thing is how QotSA fans have such a variety of tastes. I'm designer and misfit love are two of my favourite songs 😀
Ricardo Castro I think that album had a lot of misses compared to all the other albums
There's nothing like seeing drums played so well.
awesome. and i'm "fixing" all the guitar tabs for QOTSA on ultimate guitar
Thanks for the job in ultimate Guitar man!!!
Oh man. I love you for doing this
Lap Duy Nguyen Thien you da real mvp . thanks for the work !
great video, but "Little Sister" needed more cowbell
MORE JAM BLOCK
kamilc18 it's a jam block haha.
my bad!
I love how when Songs For the Deaf started the set immediately started shaking and moving
My love for Lullabies to Paralyze is over level 9000 now.
What a great album
Dustin Balog What? 9000?! There’s no way that can be right!
Man. I love Dave's work on Songs For the Deaf. It's truly excellent.
Couldn't agree more! Fantastic drummer he is.
Much More better than anyone... More complex, more resource, more tempo... Everyone else is just speed
As a huge fan of QOTSA, this is so masterfully executed!
Queens of the Stone Age songs are hard to do. Josh Homme always picks good drummers. Good job, man.
Wow. I can only imagine how hard it is to swtch between all those songs. Very impressive. You're going. To have to do it again when their new album comes out in august.
David Kamminga I don't think I will do an updated video with the new album, but I will certainly do something about it!
GREATEST BAND IN HUMAN HISTORY
WHILE I DP AGREE THEY ARE GREAT BUT I WOULDN'T SAY THAT. I BELIEVE THERE ARE MAYBE A COUPLE BETTER ONES. ALSO WHY ARE WE YELLING?
lmao
I'm sad for how wide your view is
The Cavemen were pretty good.
This is one of the coolest drum videos I've ever seen. Very interesting and you nailed every song!
metal666pwns Glad you enjoyed it dude!
One of my all time favorite bands and it was so cool the different transitions between these songs. Extremely well done man!
So glad tis was in my recomended. Subscribed!
Damjan P Appreciate that!
i remember watching this in lunch without even knowing the band many times, nowaday's QOTSA is one of my favorite bands
thanks
just logged in to say this is one of the best videos ive seen in youtube in my whole life. pure joy. thanks man. and thanks QOTSA
Alonso Garrido That means a lot dude, thanks so much!
not to say that playing a 6 minute song where every 4 or 8 beats the bpm changes is BRUTAL. Cheers man.
Phenomenal work managing BPM changes.
Thanks for doing this! It reminded me to listen to Like clockwork more often.
This video makes me realize just how fucking much I love QOTSA. My absolute favorite band.
Isn't it great that we all can appreciate queen's and each other like this. Fuckin mad band!!
seriously people need to support these guys. they are incredible!!
The SEAMLESS transition from Misfit Love to Battery Acid 😩🤙🏻
Man, I was really hoping for the verse instead of the chorus on Give the Mule What He Wants. The way that song just pounds the beat into you is fucking unreal
Damn. Reminds me how QotSA is so FUCKING awesome. Can't wait to see them later this year in London!
See you there my friend!
Nice, soo nice... you nailed it, great video mate !!
So satisfying to watch
I love this band so much
Definitely my favourite Band
THIS IS TOO DAMN GOOD I CAN'T CLICK THE LIKE BUTTON ENOUGH
This.Is.Outstanding. Cheers mate.
this song reminds me- HOW DID I FORGET IN THE FADE
Amazing job! Really get a great snapshot of album moods and sounds as well. Love it
Awesome job man. And hey what a good music you are listening to!
ive never loved a video more. you are amazing!
Caroline A thanks a lot :)
Whoever disliked this has no soul. This blew my mind, great job man.
Paul Harris appreciate the kind words dude!
As always, absolutely outstanding! More of these!
What?!?! Dude this is amazing. Much props. I can't imagine how long it took to make this.
That was incredible!
so good, thanks man
God, it's both satisfying and depressing to see such intricate and difficult drumming sections pulled of so easily. Fantastic job, man :)
in misfit love, the correct way to play is to ride the hi-hat with the left hand while playing the bass groove alterning between tom and floor tom. SO IT REQUIRES A REMAKE
Absolutely amazing man
kit sounds great
All my fave qotsa songs :) nicely done
Really reminds me of why thier first album is my favorite
You have filled my empty UA-cam hole. Good shit man, tasty tribute. yer doin it right:)
beautiful.
Any chances we can get an update/part 2 for the new qotsa stuff. Love your work man
I’ll say it...brilliant work mate. Must have taken an age and not one noticeable error. It’s odd watching drum videos as I now play left handed on a RH kit. Best advise I ever gave myself. Learn LH...the hats and snare mostly. It’s got so much more option and flows differently...syncopated becomes a doddle and the MASSIVE advantage is that the kit becomes opened up because you are with arms crossed to hit snare and hat.
Ty the hands the opposite...that’s the best thing I ever learned. Seriously.
amazing. every qotsa song is worth being listened to many timeand understood. if i have one criticism for you, HIT HARDER. this is qotsa haha. thank you.
Fook'n awesome!- I think the line for Misfit Love is actually different than what was played- but damn that was awesome to hear all of the tracks linked together like that!
Brilliant!
Tangled up in plaid/Burn the witch was incredible.
I could watch your head bob all day, dude. Also, the shadows on the brick wall look sick as fuck 👌
Haha thanks! Although I would advise watching me all day wouldn't be a good investment in your time! ;)
Great stuff, loved it!
Great job! Wow
Great job, sir!
my fav band of all time
😂
Amazing
I was wondering at first where villains was but then I realized this was posted in 2016😂
eu amo o qotsa e achei esse vídeo sensacional
This is great man!!!!
Amazing! 👌
Thanks, man! I loved your vid!
Amazing work, dude! The only thing i noticed is that Misfit Love is kinda different from the way Joey played it, but other than that, amazing!
IronRevolution Thanks dude! Yeah I know, was a bit of a mess up but it's really difficult to get a perfect take memorising all the different grooves coming up :)
Dude, you're great!
i'm a simple man, i see qotsa i hit like.
SOAD drum chronology!!!
Gabriel Pereira that'd be insane lml +1
So awesome dude! This is the best band in the world
you are amazing!
Song for the dead is my fav song of all time right now
you are amazing
You're the man.
Good stuff man!
Hey Jamie keep up the good work on the way to 2000 subs
top 5 best bands for me personally..
very good! the drum solos could be more explored (avon, fun machine first version, song for the dead, the jazz bit in hedache, maybe bsides etc). But that would enlarge it from 6 min to 8 i guess
nice work bro
Rated R and Songs For The Deaf were the golden days
Badass
Awesome stuff man! Do you memorize the order of the songs or do you read through some kind of list? I'm so curious.
Hey dude, I memorise the order of the songs. Thanks for watching!
Cool
That transition at 3:14 was filthy as fuck
fuckin' awesome, man!!
I love songs for the deaf 👍
(Edit) pretty on point with the drumming)
Nice job dude, really cool that you studied all of this. Also don't take this as an offense. But I think for some of these your kick timing could improve.
Thanks man, as you're probably aware it's not easy to 100% lock in every song with the kick placements when I have to remember all the tempo changes too! Thanks for watching :)
When a video for the album Villains?
oliveri and lanegan. I need a saga.
What's the saga? It's Songs for the Deaf....you can't even hear it!
Hanging tree
Villains needed
Royal blood!😊 chronology would be awesome!
Max Valadez I was thinking of this.
they only have 2 albums
Snake Meister true plus their B sides! About 25 songs a little short video
He missed mosquito song. Still great video
I like how you can tell when Dave Grohl joined the band
Everybody knows this guy is insane
Alfredo Hernandez = God!
what would u say is the most fun to play? and most difficult?
jakesteed23 Do you mean full song or in the short format like in this video?
full song... my bad, i should have clarified.
jakesteed23 No problem! Good question but I would say most fun would be between A Song for the Dead and First it Giveth and Hardest probably No One Knows!
Go Green! VN
After watching this video it makes me really want to go on a full on discography marathon through all of QOTSA's music.
You should
and the B sides ;)
I do that like every month for the last 6 years
same here. great band!
I'm basically listeng to one of their albums a day. Then weirdly this got recommended to me.
