This series has been FABULOUS . I ride a street triple thats great. I'm 70 now and long journeys are more difficult now, 100 miles and the old body starts to feel it, so riding with you has made me very jealous.
The Vids and drone shots are so good !!! so please keep them coming.
Many thanks for keeping the spark alive.
You’re very welcome!
As a southerner that’s never ventured further north than North Yorkshire I must just say how much I’ve enjoyed this series of videos. The scenery looks absolutely stunning and barely a traffic light in sight. I also think the drone will be a great addition to your armoury. Thank you.
Thanks for watching Steve - are you watching my current Arctic Circle trip? ua-cam.com/video/VmU-Q1e8B_A/v-deo.html
In my humble opinion, this is the best video in this
great series..shows how great motorcycling can be !
You make the travelchannel look like total amateurs.
Wow - very kind of you sir!
Very well said R.
The drone has added another dimension to your films. The scenery up there is amazing. Sat here in my house on Friday night with a beer, loving this episode as I have the rest of the series. Thank you TMF!
Looks like the Eas-Nam_Arm Bridge off the A87.. Perfect wild camping spot and a quick spruce dip in the River Shiel.. Beautiful day :))))))))))))))))))))
Seems a distant memory today!
Hi TMF - this is exactly why I’ve gone back to biking. I did six years getting to know Skye well on at least two trip per year - as you say magnificent. I’m now looking to do the same on my bike. The tide was out at Eilean D - it’s a sea loch!! Anyway thanks for the memories. If you go again be sure you visit Elgol - now there is the most stunning of views of the Cuillin ridge. What a great trip!
Cheers - I'll definitely be back...
I did a 3 hour bike ride yesterday through all of the little villages, countryside and seeing all the animals out grazing. The UK is such a beautiful place when you get away from the hustle and bustle, It's good for the soul. I don't think you can beat that feeling of you on the machine and exploring places you wouldn't normally go in a car. Nice video mate keep up the good work!
Excellent entertainment and education Andy. Watched your NC500 video yesterday and just binge watched Western Isles. I'm heading up to Newtonmore in 3 weeks with our local bike club and wives. We'll be riding some of these roads. Thanks for posting these for us all to enjoy.
My pleasure! Have a great trip!
At 24 mins ish, that Loch to your right is aptly named Loch Lochy..
Spean Bridge is famous for the Commando Memorial, worth a visit.
Great tour and enjoyed being along for the ride immensely! 😊 The photos at the end were great and I remember Cock Bridge, I cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats 5 years ago and that hill broke me! Such a vicious climb! 😆. Really looking forward to the Norway adventure!
Another excellent tour series. I've been coming along with you and I've enjoyed every minute. High quality production and think for a novice your drone footage really does add something additional to the videos. You've said it multiple times - Scotland is just magnificent.
Thanks Andy....
A fantastic 45mins of entertainment. Top quality production and the drone stuff just adds to it. Last day by the pool in Alvor, milking the pool bar WiFi and I’ve loved watching this.
On the subject of nodding bikers, I don’t think that it’s dying out, it’s just that you pass so many bikes in a day in those locations that it becomes annoying eventually... thats my experience anyway! Cheers for keeping us entertained.
Thanks for joining me!
thoroughly enjoyed all the episodes on this trip, thanks.
As usual a brilliant video tour again thanks very much for taking us along much appreciated
Thanks a lot for a great series of videos !! Hoping to visit the same area one day !!!!!!!!!! It,s now on my list of TO DO BEFORE I DIE things !
My wife and I have really loved riding with you in Scotland. We will probably never go there in person (we live in Australia), so this was just fabulous.
Really crack'n drone footage TMF, Scotland is my Homeland and I've never been there but thanks to you I'm getting an excellent tour! thanks and keep up the great work. Your Canadian buddy 👍🏼
Excellent set of videos.
Brings back lots of great memories of visiting NW Scotland every year over the last 10 years, sadly apart from this year (2020). Hoping to return next year. Love the drone shots, photos, and your honest comments. Thanks again!!
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for watching!
..for when your stuck in the office on a beautiful day, you need a TMF biking tour video! I did ride down to the Oxford office such was the inspiration ..the A34 just doesn't quite cut it against the west cost of Scotland!!
You get someone to ride and chat with, plus you win all the arguments.
Great last episode of an awesome tour series TMF. Regarding the 'Nod' I'm still an avid nodder and most bikers around the east midlands nod back, so hopefully it's not totally dying out!
Riding in Spain (in the right hand lane) means that we wave to oncoming riders rather than nod.
Here in the States is seems, at times, like the wave is dying out but other times it is more prevalent. I think that in the future it'll fade into the past. I've watched some American UA-camrs video statement of why they don't wave.
Shame, I like the camaraderie.
Just finished watching this series and want to say ‘thank you’ for such an entertaining and informative guide to a motorcycle tour of the Scottish western isles- I’m planning to follow this route ASAP 👍 great stuff TMF
My pleasure Nick, glad you enjoyed it!
Sir you are an inspiration total gentleman and some tv company needs to snap you up and put you on the big screen where you belong brilliant series as usual and you hit it at right time the weather in Scotland this year has been unbelievable and you can't get any where better when it's like that had a good few runs around highlands over last few weeks lucky to have it on the doorstep so to speak keep up the good work and ride safe ...oh drone footage just makes your vids better and sorry about the grumpy host in b&b never understood why someone gets into a business of this kind and hasn't got the manners to go with it maybe ex traffic warden ..the nod thing is a bike specific thing I think find that with certain bikers but don't understand it nod away sir and if they don't nod back just shows there ignorance
Thanks very much for the kind words - much appreciated!
Davie Sturrock Don’t suggest that Dave, we don’t want to lose TMF to the TV!! The beauty of UA-cam is that we see the guys being themselves and showing the content they want to show, not being tied up in all that red tape!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😀😀😀
really enjoyed following your tour great video's great drone footage ...thank's for sharing
Drone shots with music is the only way. ! We love them and this trip looked like something we would like to do over the NC 500. Keep up the good work !
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole series, I agree about being a great 'travel show' and the drone shots add a special dimension. I've watched this in covid sickness iso and it has brought back childhood memories of touring Scotland in 1981 and a recent tour on my R1200RS in the Victorian High Country. I've appreciated your views on many bikes in the past as well. Thanks a lot.
My pleasure Chris - thanks for watching!
Loving the series TMF. Please keep the drone footage coming as it's been amazing!
Really enjoyed these videos, thank you. They should make them into a BBC series! I'm going back to the start to watch them over again.
You have impeccable taste sir!
Superb, top touring, top footage. Can't wait to give it a go. Love the San Miguel photo..
Here here love to the San Miguel lol
Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. We love your channel TMF!
very nicely done series. whenever I go on tours I can't be bothered to stop and take pictures, the pleasure of driving is too great. so I do appreciate you do these things for us.
I have really enjoyed this series thank you for showing it. The drone shots are excellent.
45 mins of Scottish heaven
Excellent series. The drone shots just added to the enjoyment. Have a safe trip to Norway.
we based ourseleves in Oban last year, drove up through Spean Bridge, Invergarry and on to Skye......magical roads, thanks for vid., gr8 memories.
You promised me wonderful castle shots, and you delivered! Thanks Mr. Flyer!
Another fantastic , excellently edited tour production , the drone footage is so good that it looks like it was shot by a seasoned pro , spot on Mr Flyer , me and the other half are planning a similar trip and this series gave us plenty food for thought
What a Great Tour!👍 The drone shots are amazing. Keep ‘em coming. 👌 I had a good vacation. 😃
Makes it hard to want to go to work when watching this amazing series of videos with my morning coffee. :D This is what makes youTube so good. This trip you've been on and the resulting videos are a million times better than some random has been celeb taking a train journey. You sir are an absolute gem and a must for any viewers subscription list. Thank you for your hard work :)
Wow, thank you very much!
Ditto what he said !
The castle from the Highlander film, looks fantastic.
Cheers....
Excellent series of videos. I drove up to Skye in October - it's been nice to see what all the scenery looks like in the sun!
I think you have got the drone footage spot on, just enough to enhance the story and not so much that it takes over. I was waiting for some drone action over Loch Laggan though. Great wee series once again 👍🏻
I stayed in the Laggan Drey just a few hundred yards from the coffee bothy. Lovely location, and the Cairngorms are a never ending supplier of stunning biking roads and hikes.....
Great to see you out and about in my stomping ground. This summer has been fantastic up here. Glad you hit it right.
I am watching this series again ,and due to a fibre upgrade in my area I chose this as the first series to watch in 1080 onto my tv . A great tour you put together here.Spectacular scenery and the GS purring away .
Glad you enjoyed it 2nd time around!
I would just like to say thank you very much for a thoroughly entertaining ride through the absolutely stunning western isles of Scotland. I seriously enjoyed watching! I am looking forward to your Norway trip and I hope you have a safe journey and an amazing time. I really love watching as it's a mature perspective and it's required in this day and age on social media. Keep it up buddy and all the best!!😀👍
Thank you - appreciated!
Yey! I have finished another bike tour by tagging along on yours sir. 😄😄😄😄 scenery overload 😆😆😆
I am enjoying your trip though Scotland the scenery is beautiful also enjoying drone videos and pictures thank you ride safe.
Thanks for that Mr Flyer. Was with you every step of the way. Most enjoyable.
Thanks Stephen....
Drone shots were fabulous but then our beautiful scenery is spectacular. 🏴🇬🇧💖
Sure is!
Well done my man! Followed your channel since your trip North on the CRF. Weather has been great in Scotland for past 6 weeks or so, you done well there! Have to say - credit to you, these past 6 episodes have been excellent and have shown my home country in a beautiful light. Keep em coming and ride safe.
Totally inspiring video as always TMF and the drone vids are amazing giving a different perspective on the landscape.
Absolute Perfection. Thank you for all the time you put in.
Thank you for the kind comment Leighton....glad you enjoyed it...
What a great series. I live in Perth, Scotland and have ridden all the roads you were on. Riding them with you reminds me of how beautiful Scotland really is. Loved the drone footage as well. Thank you so much.
Very cool!
Really enjoyed this series. I’ve learned as well to mix long days with shorter days. Makes for a better trip. Cheers.
We went around Elieen Donan castle before it opened on one of our videos. Love the drone shots!
Sunshine and blue sky in Scotland, you were so lucky, beautiful scenery and a great ride. No rain in south east England for 2 months, the lakes and rivers here must be getting critically low. Thanks for the journey.
Just awesome tmf. I really need to get back up there!
Another stunning series showing Scotland in all its glory. Not often we get such stunning weather like you had, but makes all the difference when touring on the bike. Have to say the roads you followed have to be some of my favorites. Just a shame you never made the Outer Hebrides, but as you have discovered, it's essential to book accommodation and major ferry routes well in advance for the summer months.
Thank you for showing our stunning country to the world...
Glad you liked it Ali - I shall be back to do those outer islands!
45 minutes of joy, thank you. Roll on Norway!
Love the drone footage fanbloodytastic :)
No wonder you went for a paddle those Oxford boots are very hot in this lovely whether :)
when i was just a learner i always waved to bikers.....there were a few that didnt wave but the majority always made an effort either to wave, stick a leg out or nod.i always always always wave regardless..........great series again!
Yes generally we're a friendly bunch....
Great video as usual Tmf..I would love to see your entire route posted up at the end of your tour.
Absolutely cracking to accompany you on these trips. Beautiful scenery and lots of bike. Thx TMF. Looking forward to our next trip. Cheers!!
Thanks TMF for sharing...... :)
Not sure why anyone would thumbs down but.........
Just magnificent.. Keep up the good work! I Like the drone shots by the way, just as you're doing them right now.. Not too many/less and not too long/short. Really enjoyed looking these vids, just like all your others!
Thank you, Flyer. Just...thank you.
From start to end this tour has been absolutely fantastic. Great job TMF.
Thanks very much for watching - appreciated!
Top series as always. Thanks for taking the time to share your adventures. Inspiring me to tour further.
I just bought a Honda CRF 250 in part because it your videos. I never thought I would enjoy watching someone ride a bike. Very relaxing and informative. I lived in New Zealand for three years and I enjoy all the English phrases and your accident. Anyway, keep up the good work. Bob’s your uncle.
Great stuff - cheers Charles....
Excellent series, many thanks. My playground, I'm Edinburgh, but you went to the all right places, well done.
Just watched the episodes over a couple of nights. Brilliant. The drone shots are excellent too 😄
Brilliant - glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching and for stopping by, a new tour starts on Thursday! All the best - TMF
Classic trip .
Watched it twice and probably will again . Thanks TMF .

You certainly picked the best route East from Spean Bridge.
Great series TMF
Been up there a few times absolutely beautifully stunning area of Scotland!!
Enjoyed all six episodes. Great footage and commentary. GS seemed to just chew up the miles. Did a similar trip with the family by car a couple of years ago, NW Scotland is epic.
Glad you enjoyed it
Lovely scenery and good drone shots and just the right amount 👍
Thanks TMF very good watching great drone footage and lovely pics at the end please keep em coming...a happy fellow biker
Just what I need being stuck in my chair for the day with a poorly left foot, a great trip round the West Coast of Scotland. Thanks again.
Glad you enjoyed it - and hope your foot recovers soon!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Thanks. It won't be long, just a bit of arthritis - I had no waterproof boots when I started 53 years ago!
Magnificent!
Thanks for this captivating series, TMF. The drone footage is stunning. It's great that you take the time to enjoy the scenery.
👍
I’ve never been a particular fan of the GS, but having watched all these West Highland videos, now I get it.
Yes it’s a great explorer!
I have truly enjoyed your trip of the Scottish Western Isles. Absolutely stunning landscape! Your drone shots are enjoyable also. Reminds me of my home in the Rockies. Thanks so much for sharing .
Glad you enjoyed it "C" - all the best!
Do Scotland every May and September and always the west coast. NEVER get bored of the place and this series has fully captured why I don't. Brilliant thanks for great footage.
Thanks for watching and for stopping by! All the best - TMF
That was a beautiful series ... the number of drone shots was just right. I didn't know Scotland had so many mountains.... quite a scenic country. Thanks for taking us along!
Thanks for coming Garth!
What a great series, thoroughly enjoyed each episode. The drone footage is a nice bonus. Looking forward to your next trip!
The landscape looks very similar to the Natal midlands in South Africa, which makes sense as there are towns here also with the names of Glencoe, Dundee, Howick, etc. great vids.. now the west coast of Scotland is now on my bucket list. Lol. Fantastic series, thank you
Absolutely 'cracking' video series sir, I really enjoyed watching. I just got back from a long trip and watching your tour helped ease the pain of it being over.
Excellent series TMF, my favorite yet. I live in Central Scotland and have been desperate to get down to the Alps, Picos & Pyrenees but you've made me realise how much great biking roads there are much closer to home. Excellent drone shots and not too much. Cheers Stuart
Thanks Stuart - you need to get out and explore your neighbourhood!
Me and the boss (Mrs G) watch all so far. Absolutely brilliant Sir. Thank you for sharing. The drone is perfect. That is a must on your tours. Let's just say it's like a mini flight. Without sounding silly you are the Missenden Flyer....
Tmf,just watched this whole series, what a lovely scenic packed route, really enjoyed watching every minute, loved the nice steady pace and really did get drawn into the journey, guess what, onto your NC video next, cheers Tmf.
Thanks for watching - glad you enjoyed it!
I was waiting for quite sometime. Fantastic!
I think a picture of Eilean Donnan is on every tin of of biscuits or shortbread from Scotland. Lovely spot on a lovely road.
Loving the vids, really showing Scotland off at its best.
Really enjoyed watching you on your trip. Very well produced and almost had the feeling of being in the riding seat. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a great series again your drone footage has really improved your videos please keep them coming. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Really enjoyed this series, and your drone footage was brilliant. Another destination to add to my bucket list👍
Excellent tour series, enjoyed every minute, particularly the leisurely pace of the final video. Drone content was very good, well done. Looking forward to your next Nordic adventure. Nods ;-)
Me too! Thanks for watching....
Thanks for taking us along on another one of your splendid trips. Your commentary is interesting and relaxed, and the drone adds a beautiful new element! I will get to Scotland next year and am really looking forward to it.
Thanks Don...
At 5 min 04; the water's low because the tide is out. It's the sea! Loving your videos.
Great series of videos flyer. It’s the next best thing to actually being there yourself. You’ve inspired me to go back to Scotland for a few days riding in a couple of weeks. Many thanks.
Enjoy Peter! Hope the weather holds for you....
I lived In Scotland for 5 years and never saw weather like that. Great drone footage.
I was super lucky this time....
