Mr Wobbly he has indeed. I’m currently working as an engineer in remote Western Australia (as I speak it’s 2am in the morning - doing night shift). A contractor has just arrived onsite who’s under my care, an elderly gentleman... and guess where he’s from?? Yes, Norway. Can you imagine me now showing him TMF’s vlogs. I’m also bombarding him with questions etc..I actually drove from Budapest to Sweden a couple of years ago, so now I’m in the process of planning to ship my S1000XR from Oz to London for te 2019 summer riding season.. TMFs vlogs have been very influential with planning of such a trip.. even without his drone 😂
I'm currently traveling the globe and have been for the past 2 years, but unfortunately I'm not in a position to currently own a motorbike, but I completely get my bike fix by watching these videos, keep it up! I love it
“Come all this way and not been able to get it up…..the drone that is.” (~1:18) I suppose having watched a rather large portion of your videos and getting a feel for your personality, I thought that comment was hilarious. Anyway, thank you for taking the time and spending the effort to take us along with you on your moto and aero travels. Your civility, knowledge good sense of humor are always a pleasure to be apart of.
Hi. I've been following your UA-cam channel for a number of years. I really enjoy the all the content. I especially enjoy the tour episodes. This week I will be becoming the proud owner of 2016 R1200GS. Keep up up with the fantastic content.
Another brilliant episode of your Norway trip, and just like you’ve mentioned before it just keeps getting better. Thanks for bringing this beautiful part of the world to people like me living in the Southern Hemisphere 👌
Thank you so much for these beautiful videos! We actually crossed that Arctic Circle place a few days before you, with our GS and GSA, on our way South from Nordkapp. We can confirm: it‘s absolutely stunning! What we can recommend (because we did so...) is to go all the way to Nordkapp, also through Lofoten and go through Lapland/Finland. Different scenery, but still stunningly beautiful and remote. Best regards from two Germans in Sweden who lived in Beaconsfield - Buckinghamshire for four years! 🇬🇧🇳🇴🇸🇪🇩🇪
Super episode TMF, thanks for a great series. For those of us with health challenges or little chance of actually getting there to experience it all directly for other reasons, you taking us on the journey is a great boost to morale!
Jeez incredible video….……One of best parts for me of course being a Scouser was the barn…I met a chap in the local bar in Scottsdale, AZ, yesterday and he was wearing an LFC shirt and the conversation turned to the Never Walk Alone saying 😂😂. Small world. Really enjoyed the scenery on this one Andy… cheers 👍👍
Very enjoyable, TMF. Beautiful scenery, great roads, clear, light and sensible commentary and the gorgeous sound of the R1200GS LC taking it all in its stride. You've done a remarkable job of selling Norway as a superb destination.... apart from its £36 pizza of course. Ye gods! Keep 'em coming! Safe roads 👍
Just sat and watched the artic circle tour & must say very impressed the best hangover cure possible, keep up the good work Andy & if you ever do tours yourself I’d love to come on one ☝🏼 Regards Mark
What a beautiful drive, beautiful day. Nice trip. I'm surprised how warm it is that far north. I'm California, USA and temps here aren't much different.
Absolutely amazing pictures, I would definitely add this trip to my bucket list. This was not the idea I had about the Arctic Circle on the Europeanside, having been when I was in Canada back in ‘86, north of Baffin Island in a place called pond inlet. It was a beautiful scenic place but no civilized roads to be found. This was the perfect area to ride a Ski Doo LOL. Keep on filming and giving us a taste of what places like these are like. Thanks
What a fantastic place Norway is eh TMF! I absolutely loved my time traveling through that country and meeting its incredibly friendly and strong biking community. I hope one day I manage to get back there again. Great work bud 👍
I used to go camping in France when the kids were younger and always made myself a keep right sign to stick by the speedo, did the same when we went to Florida in the 1990's. Works a treat.
Fantastic. Again so very familiar. The chance I will ever get to Norway is so small unfortunately. Bridge Spotting such a “English” hobby.I recommend Ballachullish Bridge if I remember right it’s of the Girder type you seam to like, I’m a fan of suspension bridges myself nice to get a photo, The foot bridge, I’m 60 year old but no way I could resist getting out to the middle and trying to start it swinging, Love the coast route, I have spent 30 odd years working ferries on the BC Coast. Never tire of the Scenery. I can pretty much always find a spot for a Bike. I do see a lot of European tours pass through.
I'd be one of those people jumping on that suspension bridge to get it to move more. Well, either me or my kids, anyway. :D Great video again, TMF. Looking forward to the rest.
I know, I could never forgive myself if I ever came across a bridge like that and didn't actually cross it (a few times!). :D It must be an epic feeling and the scenery is breathtaking. I would probably sit in the middle of the bridge for 2 hours just swinging in the breeze and soaking in the experience. :D
I completely agree with your comments abut riding on the "wrong" side of the road. I rode in Nepal and, in groups, I was fine but once on my own and in a hurry, I pulled out in the wrong direction.
Waters so clear and views much wow. That bridge at the end though is just.... I mean even the bridges seem like works of art. You sir are much braver than I would have been with the foot bridge, as soon as that thing got its wobble on id soon be rapidly retracing my steps :D
When I did a tour some time ago to Spain/Portugal, we all had inter-bike comms - supplied by the tour organiser; on my own bike, and with my riding buddy, we had our own inter bike-comms which made a world of difference, and, also came in very useful as a safety feature - on one occasion, big time! I'm sure the standard of b-to-b comms has improved since then; anyhoo, would always go with comms than not. Just my 2 cents. YMMV Lovely views. Norway looks fantastic, like, lots of other great places - each with their own special blend of loveliness and uniqueness. Loved the drone footage; and that was a great catch at the end! Nicely done! GG
PandaPapa146, comms are much more appropriate if you're riding with (CLOSE) friends or partners. But if you're riding with virtual strangers, do you really want their chat? I wouldn't. It's like the rule on ops: "Keep RT to the minimum" or better still: SILENT RUNNING! Personally, I'd much rather ride alone. And if it started raining, the necessary rise in my attention level introduced by the new challenges would only serve to make my day more interesting. The last thing I want in those circumstances is chatter in my ear. Same story with great scenery. One mans vista is not always another man's idea of perfection. In the event of emergencies, there's the mobile phone, or other road users. Or you can sort yourself out without involving others in your drama. Been there, done that more times than I can remember - in all manner of situations from the depths of a snow storm in -21 degrees in a vehicle not equipped for snow, to cliff faces on mountains. No, I didn't film it? Wasn't that type of occasion...;)
Awesome landscapes and roads, a true feast to the eyes. Can`t wait for the next ones when you go down the Atlantic road, hopefully that`s the next part of the journey!! Also, your dash sticker it`s a great idea and not daft at all, I`ve seen other videos in which the riders use yellow arrow stickers in their screen, left or right! Better safe than sorry! keep it up and enjoy!!
I’ll be gutted when this series finishes TMF, loving the Norwegian scenery! Even my missus is hooked and she has no interest in touring on a bike whatsoever!
Excellent part V. I liked the drone shots. I couldn’t help but notice the rail line. Although this is a cycle channel, what an awesome scenic route the Scandinavian Rail would be!
WELL DONE AGAIN Sir!!!! Lovely photos. It must be a shame that the locals only have a short bike season. Although I suppose they play on the snowmobiles in winter!
Looks great, what a fantastically beautiful place. We’re heading that way next year in the old motorhome with the Vespa in the back. Thanks for sharing TMF. Just noticed there are 9 thumbs down for this video, “a holes” all 9 of them!
Being the son of a highway engineer I could look at bridge photos all night, but I really couldn't care less about drone shots. I watch for the riding, scenery, and the roads.
Hi Missenden Flyer Thanks for the vlog, love it! We going to Norway on cruise from Southampton in August 2019, i hope i get good weather ,like you did in you vlog😎🙄
Hi TMF just a quick note great tour video well done on that when you get to the end of the video and your looking at what to choose next that could be up a little longer for your viewers to pick what to watch next. just a thought as it would help with building up your following a little. safe riding bud. final thing just starting to put some miles on the Tiger XRT. a decent lock for her any tips many thanks Tony
I am feeling a lot better now I have had my Friday TMF vlog fix. I think the BBC weather forecast for the rest of 2018 is likely to be broadcast along the lines of “it will be mainly very sunny and clear skies wherever TMF is riding so all head down and follow him !” You have been very fortunate with the weather both in Scotland and Norway and in the nicest of ways……… the sun certainly has been shining from your rear end this year. Well done on the 88k subscribers
Well views count more than subs as far as revenue from Adsense is concerned - but that represents very little anyway unless you're in the 100's of thousands of views per video - for some reason having a larger number of subs gives channels credibility with potential sponsors....and those I could do with!
Another great segment. Glad you addressed how riding on the right was for you. Nice to meet some of the others in the group as well. The notes on your tank all look sideways but I'm sure there is a reason!
I took my drone all the way to Switzerland and up into the mountain passes to get some amazing footage and only for me to get to the top of the Furka pass and the it decided it wanted an update before I could fly it. Obviously no internet so I never did get the footage. Such a shame as it’s spectacular up there but such is life. Great series by the way 👌
Not sure on the rules using a drone up there - certainly can’t use them in ski slopes in the alps....I’m finding it hard to find places I can easily fly my drone legally these days, especially abroad....
TheMissendenFlyer they’ve changed the law now if the drone is over 250 grams you need a licence to fly it. DJI have not long released one which is exactly 250 grams funnily enough 🤔😂
I’ll still occasionally jump in the passenger side of the car after 18 years in the US. Usually fumble around the glove box just Incase someone sees me, then calmly get out walk around and drive off 😂😂😂 love the vid.
Thank you for sharing TMF. The material you've captured and the production values are top notch. You've also convinced me not to go on an organised trip. The idea of convoy riding appals me. Indeed, I'm not sure I'd want to do Norway on a bike only. The prices are still insane, possibly worse than when I was last there. My option would be to do it in a stealth van - with the bike stored in its own compartment in the back. Big van. That way I could stock up on some essential food items before leaving the UK (saving maybe 25%), save 100% on hotel bills, spend more on fuel and ferry crossings, but have the option to use the bike for pleasure based excursions of as long or short a duration as I like, as well as in any direction I choose - without affecting any schedule or hotel destination deadlines. I'm sure there were many places you'd liked to have spent more time. I got the sense that the schedule reduced the holiday experience. A van will also allow me to avoid having to ever ride the bike on the bloody E6 when it's slowed by busy traffic. Personally, I'd want to mooch around the north for a day or three, as well as take excursions up to the tops of some of those mountains. And the only German concrete emplacements you can find along the strategic fjords are well worth taking some time over. However, knowing the Norwegian laws, I wouldn't be surprised if stealth camping is illegal. But fuck that. A parked van is just a parked van, right? The only question now is which bike to take. I think a BMW F650 Strada with semi off road tyres would be the best.
Fair enough Moderate Fkr - each to their own and all that, you do the stealth van, I'll stick to hotels :0) Thanks for watching and for stopping by - TMF....
Don't get me wrong TMF, I like hotels. I've stayed in many of the top ones, some of the most luxurious, as well as some of the more 'interesting' all over the world. Indeed, I used the Intercontinental, Park Lane as my base for a while. But looking at your trip I realised you and your fellow bikers were on a treadmill. Whilst there was apparent room for some improvisation along the way, it was strictly limited to what could be achieved BETWEEN scheduled hotel stops. There was actually very little scope for improvisation or meandering off course or changing direction, other than taking the scenic route to avoid what any normal person would naturally avoid anyway, yet at a potential time penalty! And you guys paid a fee to someone to make this happen!!?? I guess I'm struggling to see the value, never mind the adventure. I guess I also remember a time when cheap flights could be obtained by turning up late to airports all over the world. Miss a flight, and the staff would do everything they could to get you on the next one - without a fee, and on the original booking! I've also travelled a lot in Scandinavia, mainly by car and aircraft. I've parked at my local airfield in Norway, flown to Oslo and then to the UK, not certain precisely when I was planning to return. The car was fine (other than a flat battery) 6 weeks later when I returned by ferry. I wasn't charged. Travel used to be a lot more free, less organised. Randomness wasn't just possible, it was part of the experience. Yes, I've spent a few nights in airport lounges waiting for the weather to clear. But it never crossed my mind to seek compensation. But that was all part of the real adventure. Finally, you may have a picture of stealth camping as roughing it. What most people do is convert an ordinary LWB Sprinter to a fully equipped camper van - inside, whilst maintaining the appearance of a commercial van on the outside. That's the stealth bit. This allows the stealth camper to park anywhere - without attracting the attention of the "NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING" sign enforcers in fancy dress costume. The advantages over the organised trip are obvious. It allows a much longer trip, infinite variability, shelter in the event of shitty weather (although, for me, the adventure only really begins if the day throws up some form of challenge), a base that costs nothing, and the whole experience can be repeated at will, anytime, in multiple countries, over and over again - for no extra fee. It's a no brainer really.
What a cracking episode this was. It’s really a shame about the drone, but there have still been some amazing views. This is definitely on my list, as is Australia!
Lovely to watch this again (peeing down in Suffolk). Only a few weeks before the doctors let me ride again and will deffo explore the idea of a Norway trip. Will have to save hard (not for the fuel, but for the food! Bloody hell!!)
loke 4880valhall, Morten, whilst I understand you were paying TMF a compliment, I'm personally hoping he wouldn't accept a job with the British Brainwasing Corporation, especially given its propaganda agenda, dumbed down presentation policies and horrendous bias on every subject. This is why the work of independent content makers is so important. Sure, TMF is sponsored by a few companies. And the medium: UA-cam/Google has at this point in 2018 turned into something equally as bad as M$, and it's primary purposes are intelligence gathering and individual monitoring and tracking, funded by advertising and the data on us that they sell to corporations and intelligence agencies. But despite all that, those who take the time to make such great content as TMF does, with excellent production values, do indeed deserve to be praised - but hoping they land a job with the mainstream media is like watching a wild animal and wishing it was in a zoo! I lived in your wonderful (expensive) country for a while back in the late 1980s. I loved it. Lovely people (especially the girls;), ferries, amazing scenery, ferries, midnight bike rides, ferries, snow, ferries, challenging roads, challenging bureaucracy, ferries, and great memories. Peace
LOL - 'The drone, that is." - seriously fun content - I've been watching a PILE of your videos, there are some amazing places to ride across the big pond - hope to get over there and ride someday!
Thanks. The drone shots are great. Don’t be too down about it. You have brought the arctic circle to us. That’s pretty impressive.
Cheers :0)
Mr Wobbly he has indeed. I’m currently working as an engineer in remote Western Australia (as I speak it’s 2am in the morning - doing night shift). Congratulations on your perseverance with the drone. It did not disappoint from my viewer's seat. Thanks, Ronn
Thank you Ronn...
I'm currently traveling the globe and have been for the past 2 years, but unfortunately I'm not in a position to currently own a motorbike, but I completely get my bike fix by watching these videos, keep it up! I love it
Good stuff Graham - cheers...
I’m getting sick and tired of looking at beautiful scenery and awesome tarmac..... oh wait.
“Come all this way and not been able to get it up…..the drone that is.” (~1:18)
I suppose having watched a rather large portion of your videos and getting a feel for your personality, I thought that comment was hilarious. Anyway, thank you for taking the time and spending the effort to take us along with you on your moto and aero travels. Your civility, knowledge good sense of humor are always a pleasure to be apart of.
Aww thank you Justin - you're very nice...

Those landscapes are absolutely stunning, wow. What an incredible place to ride a bike!
Yes it certainly is!
Fantastic ride, this is what bikes are made for. Lovely country too. Thanks for sharing these travels TMF.
You're very welcome Marc - thanks for watching as ever....
Thanks for bringing us along for the ride! I'm having the same problem with my Phantom 3 Pro, so I feel your pain!
Turns out my issue was a dodgy connecting lead between the phone and controller....
Good to know!
Also my son wants to watch your video’s with me on Saturday mornings, part of the family programming 😂
This trip just keeps getting better and better. Amazing footage, Flyer! You must have dreams about that ride!

Again very much enjoyed, not usually a big fan but Norway looks Amazing Looking forward to the next instalment Cheers!!!
Thanks (I think!) :0)
Sorry meant not a big fan of touring vids!!!!

Great vid as usual. The final view of the bridge keeps us hanging on for the next vid. Great editing with a teaser to end it up with. Congrats
Cheers ;0)
Oh no. My sister lives by the other end of the bridge. Can`t wait unitil the next one. Thanks for amazing content and commentary!
If only I'd known, I could have paid her a visit ;0)

That's very kind of you Alan, I'm glad you think so!
This is awesome! Well done, and what a great ad for Norway. Well deserved, too. My home country so no bias at all in saying that :-)
...the Sun being out continuously definitely helped - but I do agree, Norway is fab!
Just breathtaking . Outstanding.
....stand by, it gets better yet Scott!
Absolutely splendid job on this series. I’ve greatly enjoyed tagging along.
TMF Great, enjoying watching very much, glad you managed to get it up for a short one, even if you didn't have full control !
Yeah that was about the extent of it though, such a shame with so much magnificent scenery around (especially later in the tour)....
TheMissendenFlyer every episode has been an adventure and a pleasure without leaving the house, looking forward to next Friday already ! Thanks
Thanks Ian - appreciated!
What a fantastic place Norway is eh TMF! I absolutely loved my time traveling through that country and meeting its incredibly friendly and strong biking community.
I hope one day I manage to get back there again.
Great work bud 👍
Let's go together! I hope you spotted my "look at thaaat" in homage to the big hairy fella?
TheMissendenFlyer Mate you’re on!!! We keep saying we’ll meet up don’t we, let’s do a roadtrip somewhere 😉👍
Nice touch the "drive on right" sticker ! - good to keep this in mind :)
...it worked too!

Indeed...
Great video and great camera work Sir; and the drone video you did get was very nice too. Thank you so much......Sal : )
Cheers - always good to have you along! All the best - TMF
My Friday hit of coffee and The Arctic Circle, great vid and fantastic scenery...
Excellent!
Great episode TMF. Switzerland has to be on your list soon. I think you’d find a new favourite there!
...yes must get the bike there - maybe one for Spring next year (after the skiing season :0)

...sort of - albeit it reduced mode....
Still got some beautiful overhead footage.
Fantastic vids and views. I really need to go there, but I wonder if that weather ever coming back. Thank you TMF!
...well you never know, mathematically there's as good a chance next year of it coming back...

:0)
Being the son of a highway engineer I could look at bridge photos all night, but I really couldn't care less about drone shots. I watch for the riding, scenery, and the roads.
Fair enough - thanks for watching once again Alberto!
Not complaining, just saying I don't think the video really needs the drone. Amazing scenery on the video so far. Only getting better :)
Cheers TMF, that was a belter. 👍🏍
Glad you liked it Ian, thanks for watching.....
you certainly put a lot of effort into your videos MR Flyer - enjoyed the drone footage with the music too !
Thank you....
Thanks I’ll look forward to seeing your review it looks great thanks Tony
Love it, looking forward to the next instalment, thanks
Thanks for watching and for stopping by! All the best - TMF
Another cracking episode. Wonderful scenery
Hi Missenden Flyer Thanks for the vlog, love it! We going to Norway on cruise from Southampton in August 2019, i hope i get good weather ,like you did in you vlog😎🙄
You'll love it Andrew....good luck with the weather!
Hi TMF
just a quick note great tour video well done on that when you get to the end of the video and your looking at what to choose next that could be up a little longer for your viewers to pick what to watch next. just a thought as it would help with building up your following a little. safe riding bud. final thing just starting to put some miles on the Tiger XRT. a decent lock for her any tips many thanks Tony
Thank you Mike....will I make 100K by Christmas?
Well views count more than subs as far as revenue from Adsense is concerned - but that represents very little anyway unless you're in the 100's of thousands of views per video - for some reason having a larger number of subs gives channels credibility with potential sponsors....and those I could do with!
Another cracking video Mr TMF and seams like those roads were built by motorcyclists 👍
I think so - it gets better yet! ...stay tuned...
Saw your MCN ‘column’ today; totally agree. I hought you’ve been very fair in your reviews.
Excellent - someone read it - brill! :0)
DJI have not long released one which is exactly 250 grams funnily enough 🤔😂
haven't fully watched it yet but you have my like already. love your vids, love Norway :)
Thank you :0)
I’ll still occasionally jump in the passenger side of the car after 18 years in the US. Usually fumble around the glove box just Incase someone sees me, then calmly get out walk around and drive off 😂😂😂 love the vid.
Nice one Mick...
Beautiful scenery - my eyes did a lot of drinking. :-)
Love the drone footage
First rate Moto-vlog! Thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching!
What a cracking episode this was. It’s really a shame about the drone, but there have still been some amazing views. This is definitely on my list, as is Australia!
Yes Aus/Tas/NZ all very much on my wish list too...
Yet another great video, thanks TMF
This tour just keeps on giving - #envy creepin’ in...
..and it gets better yet! Stay tuned.....
Superb ... I need to go back soon ..
Thanks for watching and for stopping by! All the best - TMF
Lovely to watch this again (peeing down in Suffolk). Only a few weeks before the doctors let me ride again and will deffo explore the idea of a Norway trip. Will have to save hard (not for the fuel, but for the food! Bloody hell!!)
Hope you get out on the bike again soon Matt!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Kinda spooky getting that message whilst watching you winding around Norwegian ARMCO-less roads!!
Thanks for showing my country so good! bbc must give you a job! Morten
loke 4880valhall, Morten, whilst I understand you were paying TMF a compliment, I'm personally hoping he wouldn't accept a job with the British Brainwasing Corporation, especially given its propaganda agenda, dumbed down presentation policies and horrendous bias on every subject.
Peace
Another great video. Thanks, great many thanks!
Just gets better and better!
LOL - 'The drone, that is." - seriously fun content - I've been watching a PILE of your videos, there are some amazing places to ride across the big pond - hope to get over there and ride someday!
Thanks very much for the kind words - much appreciated!
Drone wasn’t a waste of time, still some great shots, thank you. 🙂
Thanks for watching!
