Pretty sure the stamina mod also works on the pawns as well, they've since stopped telling me to slow down ever since I installed the mod

Thanks for help getting this started. Already quite a bit being worked on, happy to have a very preliminary "short list" of provably working things to give us an idea of what can be changed with what people know so far.
I just installed 'Custom Difficulty Tweaks' and let me tell you, I felt completely empty after finishing the story the first time.
But now I actually feel incentive to go do quests that I haven't done before.
It adds a whole new layer of difficulty that you can adjust entirely to your liking.
Absolutely recommend it for anyone in NG+!

Yeah I just finished the story and felt the same. Sadly on ps5 so can't use those difficulty tweaks for a proper new game plus. Got the first one on PC though and there is "world difficulty" mod to beef up the beasties for that. If you ever feel the urge to run through the first one.
Yeah I too just downloaded this the other day since I finished my first playthrough and really wanted to keep going in NG+ but the thought of just one shotting everything, including Drakes, was not appealing. Well I downloaded this, set it to NG+ Hardmode, and wow. Hobgoblins can eff you up now. I adjusted a couple things differently to the base line NG+ Hard settings, but it's such a breath of fresh air compared to the baseline difficulty. There's now an actual need for a dedicated tank, a support mage with the shield spell, etc. Cannot recommend this enough.

With the right mods it's easily a 9/10 game. With the DLC it will likely be a 10/10
Didn't think we would need the monk mod again, but I hope it gets ported to 2... Itsuno didn't deliver on the vocations.
He didn't delvier on multiple vocations. Sorcerer/Mage getting shafted to only 4 skills. Unfair. I feel like making it Open World is what broke the camel's back. If it were linear like DD/DDDA it could afford to have detailed NPCs and classes but this open world thing is what's killing the game. It was too ambitious too late in development.

The open world is absolutely incredible. And the first game was not "linear," it was just smaller.
4 skills nerf is the only thing that is correct here.
Trickster is amazing. Albeit, it needs some tuning.
Mystic Spearhand is also incredible, but overpowered af.
I do miss Mystic Knight, and I was hoping for Alchemist. But theres like a 90% chance they are going to add new vocations over time.

I personally prefer unique ones.. like kusarigama. Or another ingenious magic vocation (want it with a mix of martial arts) like the Alchemist from Dragons Dogma online.

Aside from the FPS mods, i am a bit reluctant to use mods for the game. First i want to play through the vanilla version, crazy shop and unlimited stamina outside of battle would change it too much for me probably.
To be perfectly honest though, i just hate weight mechanics haha
same man, every 5 minutes my inventory becomes heavy and i gotta distribute my stuff to my pawns to make it average 😭
So happy this game seems to be good for mods.
Can’t wait to see some difficulty rebalance mods! I imagine it’ll take a while for players to tweak them to feel right, but they’re the best part of modding games imo!
There’s already a really good difficulty rebalance mod on nexus it has very few bugs but is gets updated very often and it also lets you customize the difficulty yourself it’s called custom difficulty tweaks
Tbh can't recall a good rebalance mod for a game that wasn't been out for decade already for the mod author to properly do this huge work. Therefore, I'd prefer something that I used in DDDA - less XP mod, for slower leveling

Custom difficulty tweaks is a very good mod on nexus that lets you customize the difficulty in dd2 very few bugs but gets updated almost daily
Awesome list, well done. 100h after I am finished with the vanilla game myself and I am still hungry for more so might check some of this stuff out. My only question is, does DG2 has any hidden modding checks? Saw some time ago a post on reddit that someones Pawn stopped updating online, but no idea if thats really a thing or not, kinda stops me from trying any mods. Any issues with it or its been safe so far?
Cheers man, I have been using all of these mods and my pawn is updating online. The chances for a ban are really low, since it's a singleplayer game.
@@The_Rift Except Capcom has a DRM installed and has declared mods to be a menace to public decency and morals and are definitely waging a war against mods. If they catch you modding they will 100% take action.
If you haven’t checked the nexus recently (as in over the past few days), some really good ones are starting to come out. Makes me really hopeful for the future of this game.
Modders are amazing fixing FPS and issues before developers. They spend so much effort trying to prevent this for no reason when they should be hiring these guys.
I wouldn't say no reason. Lot of people experience a lot of crashes with the DLSS mod for example. That's why it's not enabled officially yet.
They didn't really fix the fps issues, but I still love modders and mods
DLSS 3 “enabler” and a rather hit or miss CPU priority increase are hardly to be called fixes or modding.
Bruh. A mod that enables unfinished RTX 40xx-exclusive feature that causes crashes and a registry file that gives high CPU priority to the game. Yeah, definitely highly trained professionals, worth hiring
Waiting / hoping for extra weapon skills slots mod. Having more than 4 weapon skills equipped would be sick.

Which mods kick your pawn out of the rift like DD1? I think for that one it was only certain mods but i dint remember which ones. Was it ones that altered your stats? Was that all?
Obviously like in DD1 - ones that will change the pawn in any significant way, like allowing them to wear any armor even for Arisen's vocations, allowing them to use those arisen-only vocations (not released yet), altering their stats, etc.
If a mod doesn't mess with them like this, its safe to use
true warfarer and custom difficulty tweaks are my favourites so far

I would suggest True Wayfarer so you can set up 3 skills per weapon, like it should've been at the start
Really hoping they change that with an update. It truly doesn’t make any sense, I can’t use the skills unless the weapons equipped so why not let me have 3 abilities per weapon
@@joereilly8890 Because having 3 skills per weapon trivializes the game, Warfarer already trivializes the game so as long as you're not queued into over-powered combinations limiting the skills limits the class more than just the slight reduction in stats does so you don't have a walking any class with no real repercussions. Basically it's 100% broken to have more skills than the 3 limited and you have to make choices based on core skill selections or limited combos which still allows the one shot combo of Augural Flare + Magick Archer/Archer/Thief. Not much point in having any other classes other than Warfarer if there were no draw back and there already isn't much point to have any other classes with Warfarer with the drawbacks.
I have very few requests for DD2. The only thing I hope they add to is how many abilities you can use. It feels really bad to only get 4. Especially if you're playing as a warfarer, to only get 3 abilities (I say 3 because you have to give up one for the rearming power) really restricts the combinations you can come up with.
great fix for warfarer would be that if you use the skill you switch to the wep , giving you one more skill slot and then the meister skill would just be a core skill

I can't help but think DD2's story is a reimagining of what Itsuno wanted to tell all this time and I find the parallels of humanity surpassing the need for a god like figure, through the collective action of coming together to create a new world, rather interesting

The main question is, since the game has online elements, is it possible to get banned for modding? Is it dangerous to use mods now or can it be used without fear of bans, etc.?
Just dont do anything that alters your pawns stats as far as I’m aware.
The absolute best mod for me was Skill Swap, which allows you to have eight skills equipped at any time.
Technically you can have it register as many skill sets as you want. So Warfarers can essentially do it all.
The infinite stamina is great. Please someone let me know when there's a co-op mod

It's safe to use, but altering stats and experience is not recommended.
@The_Rift oh I've got no intention to, so would mods like enemy scaling, DLSS 3, visual overhauls etc be the same? As long as I don't do anything that would affect my pawn statistics. Would crazy shop also get you soft banned? Seems a little bit strong

Really? Worked fine for me Consider closing,then reopening the mod manager even tho i didn't have to. I added my mods and just hit ''refresh mod list'' and it was there.

Biggest issue im getting is weird ghosting effects/afterimages when I move the camera or a character on top of bad texture LOD's popping in at weird distances.
Yeah I get that ghosting as well, not sure how to fix that tho.

Can someone explain to me why you would ever need more than one camping kit?
I've camped an unconscionable amount of times using the same kit over and over and over again.
The higher level camping kits like the elite will last longer. But if you get ambushed at night when resting your kit will be lost.
When you camp in more dangerous area you may get ambushed and there is a chance your camp kit get destroyed. It is not something that happen often in normal gameplat but if you camp outside the monster den to farm their material or pawn badge it will be a thing. I just finished farming gore minotaur and chimera badge by literally spamming camp outside. Even with the grasslander those still get destroyed. So I brought 3 camp kit with me and the trickster lower ambush chance.

Top 1 mod: "Balanced Combat" - reduces retarded staggerlock while improving almost every single skill except for 2 insanely OP skills that were nerfed - thief's and MS's "press X to never die"

If you're gonna use the crazy shop you may as well just go ahead and use cheat engine too.
Seems kind of silly to add all of that stuff to a shop and remove the need to find and/or farm it.

As much as I dislike Bethesda, their paid mods are similar to what I'd like for DD2
Capcom said they are focusing on PC as their target platform
But they also take a strong stance against modders, hence the Enigma anti mod DRM
Capcom seems to forgot that modders fixes most of their games problem
Enigma isn't drm, that's not what they even means, and doesn't even effect mods that don't effect the exe file. That's the vast majority of mods BTW that means almost no mods are touch including re framework @@amspook

I tried it, it works fine BUT the HUD will be flickering like crazy, that's the downside of that mod. Super weird the rift did not mention it
@@ant_outI'll skip it then, not worth it. The CPU priority might be useful tho'. But you do have to make sure no other application or stuff are running (so closing stuff in the lower corner of windows like discord etc etc)

Pretty nice list except for the crazy shop one which is basically cheating. And before people come to say "it's a single player game, who cares" I care because I like the pawn system. People modding the game will unbalance that core mechanic of the game for other players besides them and that sucks.

I preffer qol mods over cheatind mods. Just don't rush into a fight without stamina. Should be easy since this game is actually dog water and the exact same enemies spawn in the exact same place. Oh look you added a shop to buy stuff not like you don't already get the best loot by purchasing it instead of exploring or beating a hard boss. Trivialize exploring even more. Not that exploring is rewarding anyways since you don't find any uniques you can't just buy anyways. Not like you'll explore and find new enemies since there's onlyclike 7 enemy skeleton frames. Fk this game
I'm glad i got it on PS5, mods always ruin games for me. Theyre cool and flashy for a little bit but it always ends up ruining the game unless its only cosmetic. On PS5, the temptation just isnt there, i can just play the game. 70 hours in, just getting started.
