I did the Jack Daniel's tour with my late wife in 2014 and really enjoyed it! I am medically unable to walk and go up and down the steps, so I personally enjoyed this Video! I enjoy your Bourbon Hunts too so maybe a Distillery Tour from time to time would be nice!

As an Aussie it's great to see the distilleries. It's mind blowing the different bourbons available to you. Don't think I've seen 95% of the bottles you show or pick up. But I have had Woodford double oak . Nice drop. Love all of your videos. Wish I could do the festival 😢😢😢

I like everything you do. The tours are just fine with me. I toured WR when all they had a was the regular WR bourbon, nothing else. I drove there after touring MM. I just drove to WR and got in on a tour with my wife. We had to wait like an hour but that was cool. There wasn't the tasting bar across the street and all the other goodies back then. WR has changed but it's still beautiful. For anyone who hasn't been to a tour of a bourbon distillery I highly recommend WR. WR is in horse country near Lexington. The drive to get there is on back roads. You should get to see horses walking on all the farms. Its truly wonderful

    Smiling!
Back in the 60's I worked in the log woods NW Arkansas. Sold a lot of white oak first couple cuts/bottom two without knots to a Stay Mill. Had to split them and load them by hand on the truck.
Talk about a workout, I could fight a Sabretooth Wampus Cat and win. Big Smile! You could chew on the white oak and get a taste of whiskey. Moonshiners would char that white oak and put it in the quart glass jars and it would look like bourbon and taste awful, had to hose my nose to drink it and chase it with some pop. 17 dollars a gallon in 1967.

Thanks for this video. My wife and I visited Woodford Reserve some years ago in our first ever bourbon distillery tour. We enjoyed the tour and enjoy the drink. This summer, though, we visited a craft distillery in the same general vicinity and the owner was questioning how WR could possibly be producing so much bourbon with what he considered to be too little distillation capacity. We then took note of the word "produced" rather than the word "distilled" on the bottle labels, but this video helped put that question to rest.

Woodford does have a nice facility for tours and tastings. Lux Row was one of my favorite tours as you got to pull a sample directly from the barrel. There is a cooperage in Bardstown that offers tours where you get to see barrels get charred and even have a chance to try to put one together.

Been dodging Woodford Reserve as it's always labelled as "the every man's bourbon", I drank Irish for a good 10+ years before I gave bourbon a bit more of an honest shot outside the realm of JD. I've learned now, had many great bourbons and American whiskey in general is my go to, finding barrel strength is difficult in Europe at times but it is what I look out for the most. In any case, Woodford made it on my "should probably try once the occasion arrises" list due the triple distillation process and the wooden mash bills. I like it when distilleries do something that sets them appart from the rest.
    Appreciate the tour insights!

You forgot Bowman Bourbons are triple distilled, they get the distllit from BT and distill it again. Did you stop at Castle and Key? And just down the road is Glens Creek Distillery . Their O.C.D. #5 is made with a yeast strain they got from the fermentation tanks left there. It was an old Jim Beam Distillery when they made Old Crow. I enjoy tours and the history.
