ハクビシンも池に来ました。
The civet cat (Paguma larvata) is common in Japan (and a regular visitor to our garden) but is probably not native. It's reputed to have been imported as a source of fur. Very agile and not afraid to raid human food stores. Nearly as bad as raccoons (NOT native to Japan) but able to climb trees and cross streets using power cables.
