I can't help but notice how many cardiologists appear to be of East Indian descent. Whatever inspired them to endure the requirements of that profession, God bless them all! One of them saved my life.
Thank you, my mom just had 2 stents done in her main artery, &+ I am researching what to do when she feels chest pain thank u! Can’t wait till she comes back home
It is not uncommon to have angina pain after having a stent put in.. There could be arteries that are too small to be stented or there could be another bigger artery that has a 70 percent blockage that does not require a stent, those are treated with medications such as clopidogrel, aspirin, statin drugs and usually a blood pressure lowering medication.., the nitroglycerin helps in 90 percent of the cases, I know this for a fact because I had a STEMI heart attack ((massive)) in March of 2021, had emergency surgery for a stent in my artery that was 100 percent blocked, I also have an artery ((LCX)) that is 70 percent blocked and is being treated with meds, and yes, at times, I still have some chest pain, but the more you exercise the stronger your heart becomes and in some cases, your angina will lessen... so yes, it is common to have "stable angina" after a stent procedure..
@@audreycooper9739 no problem. My friend had difficulty breathing after the stent and thought it was "normal" Died making supper 3 days later. just trying to help folks
Kuhlyedascope69 sorry for the loss of your friend. Was it a heart attack? My mother felt the same and before making it to her doctors appointment she suffered a massive stroke that took her life.
I'd be very angry if after stents I still had chest pain. Defeats the purpose why the hell should u still have chest pain. Suppose to relieve symptoms that's y NEVER stents unless urgent!!! If no symptoms before stents then leve it meds exercise healthy eating enough
Nitroglycerin tabs one under the tongue to dissolve, should help in 5 minutes he said, Another can be taken at 10 minutes and a third if the 1st and 2nd dose did not work.
