Dan, do find that your flight leaves you high and dry in a dogfight??? Like flying in circle off to the side while you are taking the heat of 5 planes trying to shot you down? Or are you the flight leader giving commands....I fly FC3 in career mode.
Yes, you are right, the bomb drop is extremely faint, but visible. At this point, there were only three bombers left. They got shot by two smaller nieuports, emergency dropped their bomb load and broke the formation to escape back to home base.

In IL-2 Flying Circus, central have chutes, the entente not. I don't know anithing about this topic in the real WW1

Yes, you are right; it was the first entente (pure) fighter, not even the first entente plane with a synchronised machine gun.
