If you close the cowl flaps you can see more. And you don’t really need them that far open in normal flight. Plus you get a bit more speed.

As a young man I was an avid reader of histories, especially regarding WWI aircraft and pilots. I greatly admired Nungesser for his courage and skill. To return to combat after being wounded so severely and so many times was either the epitome of bravery or foolhardiness. Pity he survived the war and died while attempting (though he may have completed it, a plane believed to be The White Bird was found on an island in a lake in Newfoundland, research going on to determine last I heard) the first transatlantic crossing by a plane. I had a buddy of mine make up some stickers of his "black heart." Put them on my vehicles and surfboards. Was pretty cool talking with others, most had no idea where they came from.

how do you get the DCS VR hands to grab the M4 grip and heat shield? when i use the M4, it seems to follow my VR controllers but in a floating behavior...

I would love if they could add cover for the nose for mig while not in use or after shutdown also love seeing engine spinning in the back

brother,i got 30 fps in i3 10100f rx550 4gb and 16gb run why i cannot join multiplayer,the loading is freezing while entering the preparation before flight,and how i can get more fps with right settings?

Flew some of the hantriot today, I'm struggling to keep/get speed and for me it feels like it's totally unresponsive. How does it look like it's agile for you?

The real killers were observation planes, which could get hundreds of infantrymen killed by artillery.

The F.E2b looks odd to us now, but it was not unique. The Airco DH1 was very similar but had an inferior engine, while the DH2 and FE8 single-seat pusher fighters were both effective and liked by pilots. Notwithstanding that, they had a nasty reputation for tipping forward in landing accidents, and the front cockpit was terrifying. The first American ace of WW1 was Frederick Libby - he joined the Canadian army early in the war and wound-up flying as an FE2b observer/gunner in the RFC. By October 1916 he had 10 kills as a gunner. It's worth reading his memoir (dude had a life) - this is what he had to say about the FE2: "When you stood up to shoot [in the F.E.2b], all of you from the knees up was exposed to the elements. There was no belt to hold you. Most important FE2b "fact" : it was Biggles first combat aircraft

I gotta say that damage model looks terrible. We're talking plywood and canvas here with fuel running through it. That's exactly what made Rise of Flight so dull. Give me Janes WW2F or Red Baron anyday, If I want to look at pretty pictures of planes I can find them online... If they make that thing moddable I might be interested.

The Typhoon was originally intended as an interceptor to match the FW 190. It didn't quite reach expectations as a fighter but later became a star of the tactical air forces and as a V1 interceptor.

I’ve seen this plane appear in some multiplayer dogfight servers recently. It’s basically cannon fodder. Compared to the bf109 and MC202 it is a poor substitute if your aim is to win against the early war allied aircraft. It also seems to be destroyed easily using only .303 rounds on it, the only plane I’ve seen do that.

Come across a few on the Berloga multiplayer server. Do you fly there?

I'm playing DCS with 16gb ram, intel i5 4670k, gtx 970 and a SSD. It s play farly ok in 1080p at 30-40 Fps and rearly drops under 30fps.
