Despite the snobbery in general against D Noir, i love it dearly. Problem is, it p155es me off to no end now because it lasts 1 hour on me (21 sprays, ffs!). It has been replaced by Rogue's Bon Monsieur, a long lasting fougère that blows my mind. ...just beautiful.
Drakkar NOIR was what my best friend wore during college and I was so mesmerized by its smell and how he spoke so highly of it (I looked up to my best friend a lot back then) and that black bottle still leaves an iconic impression in my mind.
I remember the first time that I smelled Drakkar Noir OG it blew my mind, it was a magical experience, at that time I wasn't as obsessed with fragrances as I am now but I can compare it to the first time I smelled Aventus or Elysium and many others. You don't sound very convinced about this one, I haven't bought it, I prefer to hunt for an original Drakkar Noir, eBay here we go! There are several from the 80's that I already bought but still need that Drakkar N bottle. Thanks for the unboxing Marc!!!
It's Drakkar Noir with that boozy amberwood molecule that everyone uses now, and I'm honestly here for it personally. I've always liked Drakkar Noir, and I like when they add the amberwood to an older fragrance, they've done it with Aramis (Aramis Special Blend), and Pasha de Cartier (the Parfum version), and I liked those a lot as well. For $30 it's a really good buy at least IMO.
Hey Marc. I picked this up on clearance from Marshall's a couple of months ago. I think it was about $26. For that kind of price, I don't think I overspent. It's not a bad scent and my wife said that I smelled nice. Always a plus. Thanks for the video.
Fun fact... Drakkar Noir is actually a flanker of Drakkar... probably the best selling Flanker of all time... I have not smelled this but I will probably be dissapointed 😂😂😂
When I first tried this new flanker I thought "meh". Its grown on me a bit but nothing earth shattering. BTW, I've never previously associated corriander with cinnamon. I know corriander is supposed to manifest as closer to a "warm" spicy profile, like cinnamon "and cumin", but I don't get it. First of all cinnamon is very different than the body odor cumin. And corriander notes have always seemed to me to manifest more as slightly nutty, "gritty", mildly earthy. Nothing sweet. I get essentially the same smell when I put corriander out of my kitchen spice rack to my nose. And I seem to get it when I put something like Le 3e Homme de Caron to my nose.
I thought Noir was pretty good, thought it wouldn’t be my first choice with this type of fragrances. I prefer Azzaro PH as my vintage barbershop go-to. Lol 😊
I describe it as soapy - but not a commercial soap. This smells like the bar soap you would smell at a spa in Baden Baden in the 50's or 60's that was made on site - woody/herbal/amber, far richer and more balanced than the typical "soapy" profile. This would be a great "out-of-the-shower" scent.

it's a classic, period.

no problem, yes I'm not completely sold on this but we will see more into a test drive.
This is the background that had been missing......... certainly gives a punch to your storytelling 👍
Thank you! much appreciated

Appreciate you!

25 is the price i'd pay for this one tbh so you nailed it.
And this is how you spray fragrance guys :) I don't do it only with extract de parfum concentration. I did try ... it was very very intense.
😅
I tried this on at the Bay and quite liked it. Not a love, but I definitely think it is worth the price that you can get it for from discounters.
I think so too depending where you are in your journey.
Good work.
I got Noar but I did not found Intense interesting enough after testing to pull the trigger.
I think everyone has noir lol

interesting to see a flanker do so well while the original was axed. Oh the history of perfumery.

love your take on it!
Would love to see your take on Mercedez club black - best designer vanilla imo!
oh really? best? That's a big statement but I don't own any benz fragrance actually.
@@robes08 I stand by my statement. They're usually cheap so worth picking up
I honestly love this one.
Good to hear!
Enjoyed Bruh
thanks!
I like it a lot. Shame about the lasting power (I get perhaps 4 hours).
a little more push would give it a bigger score!
I like it!
Good to hear!
Drakkar Noir smells good after a shower
that's what I hear!
It has a very slight boozy accord to it.
interesting take, i'll keep that in mind in testing
