- The new Chiron Super Sport 300+ set a new world top speed record for a near production car. Le Mans winner and Bugatti test driver Andy Wallace reached a top speed of 490.484 km/h (304.773 mph) on August 2, 2019, on a test track at Ehra-Lessien in Germany .

while the chiron did 304.774 mph

304.773mph is NOT 305mph.........Otherwise the world speed record would reflect 305mph.....

when i was around 18, i took a 1989 ford ranger up to 104 or 109 on a highway in florida.
