Thank you for this course. I used to make silver jewelry 45 years ago as an art major in high school. I did many pieces including bracelets, rings with set stones. I'm so longing to start again now later in life as I retire.. This would be a great way for me to get started.
Thank you!! I want to advance from elastic diy jewelry making and here you are!!! You are an excellent teacher and I look forward to learning more from you!❤️❤️May you be blessed in all your endeavors.🙏🏾
This is Fantastic!! I am wanting to have a go at making my own jewellery at home in the hope one day I can start myself a little business. This has been so helpful in knowing what I need to get started. I'm so excited 😆. I shall no doubt be asking you many questions along the way. Xx
Great video. I've been making jewellery for a few years out of aluminium and want to move on to Silver and Gold. This has been super helpful as there there are alot more items I need for what I have planned. Thank you so much ❤️🙏😊
Hi I am a new comer to jewellery making. I have all the knowledge about different metals and stones like diamonds gold or silver meaning I know how to sell and how everything is built. However I have never actually made jewellery and I am really interested in making silver jewellery. So can anyone tell me if I should buy a jewellery kit online on Amazon and which one?
Amazing video and channel overall!! ❤️ I would like to start making jewelry for me and friends, and maybe if they are successful sell some too. Just a question, how much do you think is the initial budget for the first necessary tools, if someone wanted to start?
It really depends on what you will be making - basic beading tools won't cost very much, but it would be more to buy basic silver smithing tools for example x
@@JewellersAcademy Thankyou for replying ,no unfortunately it doesn't say it's not in a tub but a clear little plastic bag iv had it over 5 years I really hope it doesn't go off 😩 x
Great video! Very very helpful and really informative! It feels kind of weird how she's talking about the dustmask, as if it was a "special" piece of equipment........1 year later and it would be completely different. 😅
Hey lovely, There are always more tools that you can buy but there are definitely pieces of jewellery you can make without these. Have you seen our beaded jewellery videos? x
Out of all of this the hardest thing im trying to sauce is the solder. No matter witch way i frase it. All i get is sheets or sticks or wire silver. Its like silver solder doesn't exist in the google world.
Have you seen our list of suppliers here www.jewellersacademy.com/jewellery-supplies You will find solder at Cooksongold plus others on this list. Hope that helps x
hi nice video i like to u come india ,Gujarat ,rajkot, bigest jewellery business to expanding and new product for you if u like see 200 yera old jewellery making school like to see new something
Repeating almost "not essential/not necessary" almost CONSTANTLY throughout the video, and then listing what actually IS essential towards the end was incredibly redundant and unnecessary. It was honestly extremely irritating to hear "not essential" after nearly every single item you mentioned.....my god, soooooo irritating!!!!! But the video was great besides that huge problem.
Best of luck with your jewellery making. If you are taking part in the course write 'I'm in' in the comments below so I can come and say hi! Jessica x
"I'm in" my main question is where is the beat place to buy the actual silver to make the jewelry??

Most of the tools are the same
If you dont want to use steel tweezers to pick up things from the pickle, isnt the rice cooker steel pot?
Hey lovely, Most of these cookers have a ceramic inner dish. Definitely something to watch out for though x
Thank you so much, I will defiantly be watching the rest of the course. Where do you get your raw materials from?
Glad you enjoyed the video. For supplies, check out our suppliers list here www.jewellersacademy.com/jewellery-supplies x

Hi Please can you tell me how much pickle to put in the pot? Also how long will the pickle last in there? Thankyou 😮
Hey lovely,
Your pickle should have details on the packaging on how much to use.
The pickle that we use is one tablespoon in 200ml of water. x

@@vanessaharling1957 If you know where it is from it is likely that the brand will have guidelines on its website. I hope you manage to get sorted x
These are fab videos, thanks Jessica. Do you know if it’s ok to use files across silver, wax and metal clay?
Thanks you. And yes of course, you can use files with silver, clay and wax. x

whats the total budget for something like that?
It's very hard to say really as it depends on which suppliers you use and the quality/brand of tools that you purchase. x

I didn't have a problem with that. TBH, I found it quite helpful. 😅
But that's just my personal opinion.
