I don't know whether or not the mother was taken by poachers; I feel that the penalties for poachers are not harsh enough.
I had no idea these babies made such cute, tiny noises! That was so heartbreaking to know in the beginning he was calling out for his Mama though 😢

I read it as “This woman’s kids are orphaned by baby rhinos” and I immediately thought of that clip with the baby rhino and the guy saying “even the babies are one of the most dangerous animals on earth, so I built this cage to- oh my gosh!”
Whoever caused the separation of Mapimpi and his mother must have immense pain within themselves. Hurt people hurt people (and animals).
I'm so glad there are people out there like Mapimpi's caretakers 💜 so beautiful to see these sentient creatures thrive!
Excuse me, poachers do not kill rhinos and elephants for any reason except profit. They are not wounded creatures, they are monsters who brutalize these animals and leave traumatized babies in their wake so they can turn a buck selling horns and tusks to unscrupulous buyers in Asian countries.

The world will be much better if most of us were like this amazing woman and thats a fact
Even though they are big and seem scary, Rhinos stick very close to their mothers and they are extremely emotional. In fact, the distress caused by separation at a young age does such emotional wreckage that it becomes a cause of death in majority of the cases.
These people are doing god's work, thank you❤️
Amazing to see how much effort these people put up for these magnificent creatures hopefully with enough conservation efforts rhinos will avoid extinction I also think it’s pretty interesting that the white and black rhino got along with each other so well having such different mood, social, eating behaviors and whatnot

I should have never watched this before going to work. I was emotional watching the orphans showing up just knowing something horrible had happened to the moms. It is very rewarding getting to release orphans back into nature but its also worrisome...just because because they are gone you still worry!!!!
Rhinos are so precious. About 10yrs ago, it was almost guaranteed I would see a one when driving to the beach. Now we can only see them in sanctuaries. Can’t believe we’ve pushed them so close to extinction🥺
Imagine the rhinos experiencing the kindness and warmth of these beautiful people that took them in but in the wild; it would be the exact same species that would hunt them for their horn.

That means for every baby brought into the refuge, the mothers have been killed by poachers for their nose horns ! Their entire existence as rhinos and mothers completely wiped out just for that horn. How truly sad and heart-wrenching and incredibly utterly utterly despicable.
With so much hate & division around the planet this year of 2020, this video here made me, a 54 year old contractor tear up into a full cry, God Bless us all and Thank you God for Ur gift of Animals.
