As soon as she said it was a guy, I knew there was a chance he might not come back. Not because he would be killed but male deer tend to want to be on their own. Sometimes you can find multiple male deer together but it’s still kinda rare. And in the rut they all go out looking for females and they follow them around until they breed. Then it’s back off to being by themselves
I'm glad the instinct of this deer is to stay away from all humans except for the caregiver. That's great Instinct. He should survive a very long life.
I'm glad she marked his antlers, too, but. . . I used to own 30 acres around my house and I had it posted. These hunters don't care. They tore down my signs; I'd find them ripped out and thrown on the ground. I was also finding they'd shot my cats dead. These people like to kill; that makes them killers. @@jackappleseed6728 I guess we should also tell the bears and lions they have no right to hunt other animals either, o also to tell deer and giraffe to stop eating birds for protein.
@@rachelbard4985 Actually, you're wrong there. Deer will eat young birds they find on the ground at times if protein is scarce in their food. Same with Giraffes and other herbivores. They will also chew on bones if calcium is lacking. And yes these are facts I can show you if you do not believe me, facts from actual wildlife researchers. In fact, even on farms where you have free-range poultry and you have goats. You will sometimes see a goat grab a baby chick and eat it. It's shocking the first time you see it, admittedly. But it does happen. Same with horses. I was raised on a farm, I've seen horses, and goats, grab baby chicks and eat them. All of our birds were free-range. Also, people HAVE to hunt the deer because there are no wolves in the area. If a deer population in the area gets TOO big, then the animals will start dying off from disease and starvation after, first, denuding an area of vegetation because they're hungry. And, to be honest, if I had to choose my way of death between being torn apart by a pack of wolves, or being shot in the head / chest area? I'd rather be shot. The death is very fast. Yes I am a hunter. I also go fishing. No I don't use snap traps or anything like that, I think THOSE are evil. There's no need to leave an animal in pain like that. If a person is going to kill an animal, it should be for food and other uses. I strongly disagree with those who do so for sport.

Copper hopping around the backyard, then Rocky hops too (AMAZING). Rocky throws arm over his shoulder (JAW DROPS-💖 ) Thank you Beth for looking after him.
I used to ride at a barn that raised a deer, a little fawn their neighbors found running around in a field and then passed out with exhaustion. I got to feed it, hug it, cuddle it, be tackled and licked by it. And let me tell you there is no feeling in the world that can compare to be licked gratefully by a dear that thinks your part of its family. Fish and wildlife eventually took her away but I will never forget her. (Her name was Delilah)
So hunters will see the orange tape on his antlers and “respect the fact that he’s marked” and leave him alone..... only to go murder another equally innocent and unsuspecting animal. Great. 🙄

Makes me think of the deer we have. She’s not a pet and she’s been roaming the pasture for 9 years now. She was a bottle baby, but with how long she’s been free you’d think she’d of run off by now. She’ll bring her baby’s up and she loves saltine crackers (though lately she’s been partial to Ritz it seems). I’d say it’s because she’s a doe she’s not roaming but we had a buck named Bouncer when I was in elementary school who also did the same thing. He was a bottle baby who took off and we thought that was it for him. He came back every day for his dog food at 5 in the morning for a full year. After that we loaded him up and took him to my Grandad’s ranch so he’d be safe. It was a game ranch with a high fence, so we tagged Bouncer and let him free. Not a year later we go out there and mom calls that boy up. It was a sight since my Grandad thought for sure Bouncer wouldn’t remember her, but here that buck came a bounding through the tall grass tail up and ears perked listening to her call! It’s crazy to think how long ago that was and now I’ve got Dolly hanging out now. At least she’s not waking us up at 5 in the morning for dog food lol.
Some kids go rocketing out into the big world and can't wait to be independent, and some kids keep coming around and like spending time with their parents. Doesn't matter if they're human kids or deer kids, it's just easier to spot the differences with human kids.

So great to be a dude and admit that.

@@Ater_Nefarium Deer and giraffes don't eat birds wtf XDDDD what a dumbass

Adorable how she talks so encouraging to him. Love is in nature all around us.
Let’s be honest.. This is everyone’s dream !
The way the dog puts his leg on the deer so friend like.
So deer eat dog food? Do they need the protein? I thought they were herbivores
It takes a lot of passion and care to take care of a wild animal and usually God takes notice and rewards with more blessings 🙌
