Excuse me, don’t forget he suffered a high ankle sprain in preseason in 2022 and didn’t return until week 12. Upon his return, the Panthers went 4-2 and was one Tom Brady buzzsaw away from winning their division and going to the playoffs. He was also injured and missed time in 2020. The Jets did not win a single game without him, the Panthers won only one game without him in 2021, and Baker Mayfield went 1-5 in 2022 before Sam CAME BACK from injury. Also, Sam started as WR and DB his sophomore year of high school but after the starting quarterback got injured, they put Sam in at quarterback and he led his team to a comeback win. The next year, he permanently changed his position to quarterback. They won their first two games but when he broke his foot in the third game and was out for the season, they lost the rest. His senior year, they won every game except the championship, when Sam went out with a concussion. He was also his high school league’s MVP in basketball two years in a row. ❤
great video, professionally narrated. it really showed his growth. Hopefully, he's able to truly move past his ghosts and making this his Cinderella story.
I'm a life long NY Jets fan (I choose a life of pain) and am a big USC fan, so yes I was happy that Sam Darnold was coming to my favorite team. But because we're the NY Jets adn we kill anything and anyone that's good, and because Adam Gase can't tell his ass from his elbow, and because our whole team constantly has problems, it only makes sense that Darnold would be seeing ghosts and would be off the team after 3 years. I remember when the Jets were openly talking about tanking for Trevor Lawrence and sending Darnold to a team like the Rams or Chargers, so he can go back to southern California, talking about it with Darnold. Honestly though now that he's at a much better team in the Vikings, with a better coaching scheme, and better receivers, I'm happy for Darnold that he's playing well.
His last year at USC the entire offensive line from the year before had GRADUATED. This is never mentioned when they say he had a lackluster year. With the Jets and Carolina the offensive lines were rated no better than 30th in the league. He ran for his life and tried to force plays. In NY and NC he suffered from poor plays where receivers where not open. Sign him Vikings. Do not be foolish. Dan Jones is no Sam Darnold.
Here’s my take. If Sam Darnell does something that hasn’t been done since 2017, which is get the Minnesota Vikings pass the first round of the playoffs they should sign him for a two year. JJ McCarthy has essentially been inactive due to a knee injury and should sit behind Donald another year as an active member of the roster taking snaps as a back up.
. Vikings, when it comes to the 2nd half, we Vikings must wake the f___ up and fight really hard. No time for coasters, only times for fighters that can go all the way. Ps or just go home.
It isn’t saved yet, although he is well on his way! The NFL is a week to week league, and I can easily point to several 5-0 stretches in other seasons, that turned on a dime. Granted this 5-0 start does feel different with wins against the Packers in GB; the Texan & 49ers, who were all playoff teams last year. That being said they are headed into the most important game of the season with a game against the Lions in DETROIT who are expected to make it to the NFC championship. If the Vikings win they will be in the drivers seat in the division/NFC, but if they loose handedly that could single-handedly reverse the course of the season, and Sam would be the same old QB.
Great video man. As a Vikes fan, it's been up and downs this year, but can't complain about 10-2 with Darnold. Dude has been playing his ass off!
HE GOT OUT OF NEW YORK thats the equivalent of being 10 years sober.
keep making videos ts was fire

The Jets have proved one thing over the past 20 years: They can ruin one first-round quarterback after another.
HE SOLD ME IN FANTASY THIS WEEK

Why would you play him against that defense?
What a GREAT bio on Sam!!!!
I like to think my career advice tweet from a couple yrs ago really turned him around, i said; "Sam just throw the ball, bro!!"
