- THEY F**KING DID IT. The Vikings completed the biggest comeback in NFL history, climbing out of 33-point deficit to beat the Colts 39-36 on Greg Joseph's (YES, GREG) 40-yard field goal with three seconds left in overtime Saturday to win the NFC North division in their typical dramatic fashion.
Did you leave the stadium or turn off the TV? You'd miss Captain Kirk Cousins passing for 460 yards and four touchdowns. The Vikings (11-3), trailed 36-7 late in the third quarter and became just the third team in league history to win 10 games in a season by eight points or fewer. The Vikings became only the second team in 1,551 regular-season or playoff games to trail by 30 or more points and still win.
The intermission deficit for Minnesota was the second-biggest in franchise history, behind a 45-10 score at Seattle in 2002. The Vikings even overcame a pair of fumble returns for touchdowns by Chandon Sullivan that were wiped out by the whistle.
The Vikings took this rally all the way to their second possession of overtime. Cousins hit K.J. Osborn - who caught the first score and had a career-high 157 yards - for 15 yards. He found Adam Thielen - who had the second of three fourth-quarter tomiuchdown passes - for 21 yards. Then he threw to Justin Jefferson for 13 yards to move into range.

I always watch the game at my parents, and people filter in and out to go smoke, PA is always in the radio outside and it is about 15 or 20 seconds faster than the television, it’s perfect to hear him announce something and then run in to see

I live in the UK and have been a Vikings fan since 1987. I can't tell you how much this team means to me and how grateful I am to listen to PA on these videos. One day I would love to visit and attend a game that would be amazing. Until then GO VIKES!!!

I was at the game! It was the greatest game I ever attended! Went through the entire gamut of emotions from dejection to depressed to frustration to hopeful to exhilaration to jubilation! Skol! Didnt realize it was the 1000th Viking game nor that it was the greatest comeback ever when the game got over! Now I feel blessed to have witnessed history live!

I don't understand if the hit was hard enough to prompt a evaluation of Jefferson shouldn't they have to check Gilmore too? I think if hard hits on someone happens the person who put it on them should have to be checked too.
Was a weak call
On both TDs that were called down, the whistle sounded after the Sullivan had the ball. The first one was right after he got it and the second one he was taking his SECOND step towards the end zone when the whistle blew.
Also that punt spotted at the 2 should have been the 1, Nailor caught it at the 1 and landed a foot from the end zone.
I bought upper-corner nosebleed seats for me and my two boys for the game. At the half, our seating improved immensely because so many fair-weather fans left at the half. We got to watch the grates comeback in NFL history from the 2nd level 40-yard line seats. It was great fun, but all this time later I'm still pissed at the officiating. It was far more than just the two Sullivan TDs. It was a comeback against the Colts AND the refs.

I fell asleep B4 halftime, @33-0, only to wake up, starving & dying of thirst, but I'm alive to see these highlights. There is a Santa!

PA can make the recipe for frying bologna sound exciting. Oh and he was pissed like every Viking fan was about the refs. I mean there are bad calls that can easily be 50/50 balls, but these calls weren't even close or non existent, which took 2 possibly 3 TDs/big plays off the board. The league needs to fine/suspend bad refs and make it public. We want to know that they were punished, or better yet, fired. They sucked

Let's see how many fewer catches different Hall of Famers have because of something like that.... just sayin.

I love how many people were still in the stands after that ridiculous 1st half. Even late in the 3rd quarter it was still bleak, and the fans were still there.
Imagine the horror of leaving at half time just to find out they came back to win.

The ref cheated for the viking. The 4 down play was a first down n game is over from that.
@@bruceli853 the refs had a lot of bad calls not just that one. So stop complaining about that one certain play when there were a lot more bad calls from the refs.
No points were lost when your team didn’t make a first down. I watched and he didn’t even try to reach the ball over plus that doesn’t account for points which the refs took 12 away. That was a fumble recovery TD and you know it.
@Bruce Li oh stop it. The qb was holding the ball on his hip and it never went over the line. Plus the refs took 12 points away from the Vikings, so hardly the same thing.

Poor Mat Ryan (the top 2 comebacks on him) and Jeff Saturday interim coach. My poor heart, being a loyal Viking fan since 1960 and living on the edge has just about finished me off. Have experienced it all and wouldn't change shit. Four Super Bowl losses I'll keep for all the unreal games played on the edge, win, lose, or draw all provided max entertainment. Great team and always exciting. I will find the games in the next life period. Vikings in Valhalla for sure. SKOL!

I believe the last Vikings win over the Colts was on 12/21/1997. It's a team that has had the Viking's number (lifetime the Colts are 18-8-1 vs Minnesota) which made this game all the more memorable. S-K-O-L

I remember working durring this game, and the first half and all i seen was people hating the vikings, then i looked again after the game ended and EVERYONE changed sides and loved the vikings, it was great
