  • Many of us have had those moments where it feels like we aren’t doing enough, or we simply feel as though we aren’t on the right path in life. In today’s episode, the sisters talk about their experience with existential crisis, and what to do when the real possibility of depression and darker thoughts enter the picture.

In the first couples seconds. I felt my eyes water. Thank you, I have been feeling invisible because I thought I would be in uni rn but life happened and i start next semester. I know it sounds dumb to be stressed out by that but idk i always saw uni as a way to escape and when I couldn't go this semester... I just felt as if i was failing. Thank you for this episode 💜

I've been going through the same thing this whole year and often (if not everyday) felt so stagnant and useless even though I know that I am going to university next year. But I think my problem is also the fear of what if the same thing happens next year and I don't go to school for the whole year again? I have been trying to cope though and develop some healthy habits in order for me to let go of fear. I'm so glad I have someone that I can relate to😩🧡

“You exist for a reason whether anyone deems it worthy.” Wow Courtney, that was insightful!
The truth is that we will all have moments when we question life and existence.
As Courtney said, during such moments as this, it’s best to not look too far into the future but focus on the right now.
The right now could mean the meaning and value you get from being around your family, close friends, doing work or passion projects.
If that doesn’t seem enough, getting therapy is so effective in helping to work on your thoughts and perception of yourself and life.

This episode was so needed! I especially resonated with the section about mastering the mundane. Focusing on the basics and executing even if it isn’t perfect is truly the way to reach your goals. I’m learning that in this season ❤

To Renee’s point on the capitalization of self-growth: It often feels like you’re either on 1. the side of being the person who seeks the motivation, drive, discipline etc. online, or 2. you’re the one providing those things because you have them. My existential dread has derived from feeling like I am not on the 2nd side. What’s helped me avoid the dread and anxiety that comes with uncertainty is learning how to respond to a situation rather than reacting to it. This has given me so much mental clarity because I let go sooner than later of what I cannot control to focus on the options I have in front of me.

As someone who gets bored once I've completed a task and starts looking for the next thing to do, I really appreciate getting this vid. I'm in a very comfortable and happy place in life and and I've been enjoying just my general day to day life. I've been enjoying being present in every moment and once I get comfortable I start looking for what's next. I also enjoy planning. But, I'll just keep on "window shopping" about my future. Sit with what I've got now before doing anything.

I have been feeling like because I don’t have high ambitions as other friends, I feel not worthy of being around anyone. The truth is, i am okay with where i am at but i feel like they dont like that i am okay with where i am at.
Hearing your words today just kind of set me back into my peace. Thank you very much❤️

Loved this episode coz I also didn’t like the mundane and wanted the big leaps and struggle with motivation for the small stuff as it seems a little too monotonous. However this really reminded me how far I have come

The wisdom you both share is unmatched. I have recently come out of my own existential crisis after finishing uni so I can relate. But you guys really came for me with the whole mastering the mundane and getting so caught up in the world of personal development (but in the best way ofc lol). I deffo have things to reflect on. Thank you for walking in boldness and using your God-given talents to serve others. Forever grateful. Can’t wait for the TMS live show 💕

To the sister with the dilemma, something to think about if you decide to purse it: aside from your emotional attachment, make sure he is someone you can trust as a friend. I mean someone that you can honestly admire as a person.
My boyfriend and I have been friends for 4+ years now...we debated for almost a year if we should cross that line(4 month ib a relationship)...spoke to friends and family that knew us too. Ultimately, I took a step back and looked at his circle to see if I wanted to be a part of it: his friends, family and acquaintances and how he treats each and everyone of them. Also how they treated him (myself included). We will go to war for him. And I wanted that. He had qualities that I respected and admired.
On the existential crisis, I had one in 2018 about everything in my life and it wasn't fun. I questioned everything down to having a relationship, school even my relationship with God. I prayed to Him and asked Him to show me and I was surrounded by people who had gone through the same. It's not laid out flat lol, but everything I begin to question myself, i remember it again and just allow myself to enjoy and learn from the season I am currently in.
Sorry for the very long epistle.
Also excited for this month's challenge...I've got this one in the bag 🎒

I love the "today" perspective. Free Guy expresses a similar stance when the security friend is like "this moment of me helping my friend is real"; when the AI is aware that he is not human

It's hard for me as I get in this cycle. I feel lost but find or refind some motivation and dive into it, look up resources, see everyone in those resources seeing amazing success more quickly and easily than me, feeling inadequate, and going back to feeling lost. Trying to change careers right now and although I manage to press forward, the cycle is so hard. I get so drained sometimes....

This year I’ve had to learn how to be gentle with myself.
I’ve had to overhaul how I approach work/habits by practising mediocre consistency. Now I try to put in consistent 50-60% effort into my habits that give me stability (ex. journaling/working out) - to make sure I do it I began recording it and posting it on my channel.
I have no clue what my bigger goals are. I’m just hoping building a solid routine and taking care of myself will give me a solid foundation and nurture the creative side of me I’ve repressed for so long. Loved the video
