@@amym.1349 it's an amazing resource. Unfortunately since it's so insanely popular now, competition is much fiercer than it has ever been.
You're supposed to leave the curtain open after showering to help prevent mold growth. Air it out.
I was taught to leave it closed so that the moisture isn't trapped between all the folds when it's pushed open against itself. That way it dries out. Then put on the fan to remove the moist air.
That's what I thought. I also keep it open so an intruder can't hide behind it lol
Taught in military to leave it closed in order to air out all the folds. Inhibits moisture and growth of mold and bacteria
Except a lot of fans can't properly air out a bathroom. That's why you wash and clean the liners routinely, and leave the curtains open to prevent mold growth in the walls/ceiling
I think she means leave the tub "open" as if the curtain is a "door" that she wants closed...notice she also had it opened and said it looks tidy. Probably just a slip of tongue. Also, I learned about keeping shower curtains open from Monica Gellar on an episode of friends lol.

Cool. I think it more a house they are renting not an apartment. Still it very fresh and cozy.
It's probably a brownstone first floor apartment combined with the finished basement to create a duplex. What makes a "separate" apartment is a Kitchen. What makes a kitchen is a stove. There can however be a bar/ wet bar or kitchenette in the basement.
It is a house, bush wick has brownstones that they modernized as well

This was the best episode yet! Her place is clean, modern and spacious with 2 kitchens and 2 washer/dryers!!! I pay close to 1000 for my space and it is not NEARLY as nice and I live 45 min outside Miami which is expensive be it's not NYC.
But that's because she has a bunch of roommates to help shoulder the cost. I would like to see one of these Refinery29 videos of someone in NYC or LA paying $2000 or more for rent and living by themselves.
I love how she low key aired the beef with her roommate about the curtain being left open hahaha

I'm a New York native and can say that for $4k a month you can really find some really nice places here in NYC they are beautiful and so is your place. However, being one of the country's most expensive cities, you're honestly not gonna be able to find a really nice place like this one for much less (in some cases maybe but in most cases NYC is usually a city you gotta have to spend BIG in order to fine a really nice place for rent, and roommates is a great idea too

I'm struggling to believe this is only $4K/month - especially since there is two of everything. My lowest-of-low apartment in Inwood (40-min from midtown) was $1630 for a 1-bedroom... and it seriously was the most plain jane apartment ever... and believe me when I say that we looked EVERYWHERE for a good deal.

i'm trying to figure out how this happened. i paid $950 in Bushwick for a dump. For $50 bucks more i could have had 2 kitchens and a huge bedroom with lighting controlled from my phone? seriously...how.

They all have high paying jobs... Not to mention salaries are higher in NYC. People always forget that yeah, the city is expensive but you get paid more as well. Not saying that everyone makes it there, just saying they can afford it with their salaries.

I got a 3 bed 2 car garage in okc for about a 475 house payment (well my girlfriend pays half and navy stuff covers the rest). I remember when I bought a 2015 corvette (got rid of it thank god) that my car+house payment was bairly above 1000k. If I had 4k to put towards an apartment here, I would be debt free and having more real-estate on the side. I was in the Navy before, I get that travel is cool, but damn don't let it ruin your chances to grow and build cause of some crazy apartment price.

If they only did people who live alone it would only be very wealthy people - living alone in NYC is too expensive for the vast majority of people
This is so worth it! Even if you only have 1 roommate and pay 2,000/person still sooooo worth it. I've seen a lot of youtuber pay more and still get a smaller place than this apartment. Wow, i love this video so much!

In my country (Serbia, Europe) average salary is about $500, in some industries you can earn $700-$1200, but apartment or house like this is about $1500-$2000, so we can afford only to live in a shoe boxes and pay around $200-$250 per month.
