I have the same guitar and you are right it is a very good well built guitar i was going to change out the pickups but after playing it the sound was very good so i changed my mind
Nice demo and playing. I just received mine a couple days ago and am very satisfied with the purchase. I bought it mainly for the neck, both the shape and the S.S. frets. I have smaller hands than average and I like a thinner neck and love this compound radius. The Fender American Ultra model has one but it is 2100 dollars, a bit out of my price range. I recently bought a used Fender player plus for 800 dollars and the materials and quality were much better on this for less than half the price. I did have issues with the intonation on the 6ht string and some fret buzzing that was remedied thru setup. I also am considering changing both the pick ups and bridge (don't care for the ashtray style bridges), but it sounded fine out of the box except for the strings. Overall I think it is a great value at 340 dollars for a nice Telecaster.
I have one of those guitars and I'm thrilled with it. The best upgrade I've made to date is the to replace the Wilkinson saddles with "Rutters Brass with Aluminum E/A Straight Comp Saddles"-- incredible.
Hey Great vid! I'm planning on getting a set of these Lebrea pups for mine as well! I've bought 4 Classics so far and every one is excellent! Some need more tweaking than others ex: action, intonation, relief etc... but QC and fit and finish was great on every one. I also have 2 fusion models and both of those are fantastic as well! Fabulous guitars! The frets are all cut and polished before being installed! 😀 Cheers, J
I’ve been using mine for recording whenever I need a classic Tele sound. The craziest thing to me is that it stays perfectly in tune, even after hours of playing!
@@barthydemusic yup I hear ya! Very solid on that front for sure! Change the strings too (I'm sure you did anyway) but i've notices a huge difference tone wise with new strings compared to the stock ones. I use DR Dragon skin strings and these musi pups really like them hahaha! Cheers! J
i am 74 years old have bought more guitars than probably i should omit but this telecaster has the best fret work i have ever seen this is the one he is playing now i have a Gibson new and it is not as smooth as these frets if i was Gibson i would be a shame
Don't have one but I do have a couple of Eart guitars that have the same kind of frets. I figured these frets were made buy machines or cast this way made to the exact size and then just pressed in to the fretboard I've wondered for a number of years why that's not the way they were done previously. Putting Frets in a guitar and then finishing the edges and so on seems stupid to me.
I have the equivalent of the Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder in my bridge and I’m thinking of the Paisley La Brea bridge. How would you compare that to others you have used?
Very bright and clean. I have Twisted tele pickups on my Fender Tele, and they break up a little easier. Easier to overdrive. The Brad Paisleys are great for a classic country sound.
I bought one a month ago and I love it. It was set up well, and was half step out of tune. Like you it stays in tune for days.
Yep. I don't know how they do it!

Yep, nothing wrong with the stock pickups. Just wasn’t the sound I was looking for. Enjoy your guitar!
I got one 3 weeks ago. Action was so low it buzzed, a 1/4 turn of the truss rod fixed it. Nice guitar.
Currently have 5 Tele's and this is my favorite by far!

I’ll have to look those up

This is better than a $1500 Fender Telecaster after the pick up upgrade.
I can't disagree with that. I use it all the time!

I'm with you on that. Best frets I've ever played!
After playing both the La Brea set and the Twisted Tele set, do you have a favorite?
I like the Twisted Teles, but that's just me. I'm more of a rock guy than a classic country guy, and the Twisteds are a little beefier.
@@barthydemusic Valuable wisdom. Thank you!🙏👍✌

Yep. Why doesn't Fender try it that way?
Maybe they will

Send it back is good advice
Nowadays you rarely get a chance to play a guitar in advance, so you have to be prepared to send it back!
I have the Capricorn and Fusion HH can't beat em for the price point...I hate the headstock design , but I'm not a headstock player anymore.
Opposite of a lemon is a peach! 🙂
Of course! Thanks!

Did yours have bad static seemingly coming from the pots when you got it? And did this fix it?
Mine didn’t have that problem, but I wanted to try out the La Brea pickups anyway.
