Very nice video! Thanks again for this content you make! I have saved this video to watch until now (friday after work) so i could enjoy it with a glass of wine. It is so relaxing to see you show off these items. I have learned a lot from your channel and books! Its also great you can do these things with your son! Big fan! Greetings from belgium!🙌
I'm very new to your world sir, but man this is so awesome. I bet you have such an awesome collection. Would love to see some of your best pieces. Love your channel sir. I wish these pieces could talk !!!
well i really enjoyed the video Tom, these are never too long for me i really enjoy the videos, and the education contained in them. some really great stuff to say the least. thank you so much for posting. I look forward to the next post!!
I believe the Brandenburg group isn't SS but rather the Brandenburgers (Sonderverband z.b.V. 800) of the Abwehr. They were a special forces unit comprised of many different language speakers and foreign members. Their true ability was really never used in the war but they are a very neat unit and that's a very neat item.
Let's all send Tom a package that is taped and wrapped to horrendous overkill, with all kinds of styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap that takes 20 minutes to get unwrapped, just for fun! LOL! Just kidding!
I just watched a documentary about Michael Wittmann ! Same last name . just the little things ! He was the best tank commander ! Very good documentary !
21:30 I hate to correct you, Mr. Wittmann, but Kiel is a harbor on the Baltic Sea, so it's on the "Ostsee" , not on the "Nordsee" (North Sea) 14:56 To what is in the hat: The "Deutscher Reichskriegerbund Kyffhäuser" or short "Kyffhäuserbund" still exists in some form today, here in Germany, it still is a veterans association. Here is the wiki: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyffh%C3%A4userbund Where I grew up in the 70s and 80s, in northern germany, quite in the countryside, we had a little guesthouse and many years older people came to a little convention or just drove on vacation with their club "in die Heide" (that means into the "Lüneburger Heide" or "Lüneburg Heath ", the area where we lived, great air, some monuments, quite some history around etc) these were the "Kyffhäuser" people, we liked them very much, to me, as a young kid around maybe 8 to 15 years old, they gave great tips, when I did them a favor or carried their luggage. :) Plus: They had to tell some stories, not only from the war years, no, just about everything. To me as a kid, they seemed kinda intelectual, I thought "Kyffhäuser" was some kind of educational or historic learning association of pensioned people, I only learned many years later that they were attached to veterans or were vets themselves, that explained the medals they wore, in retrospect.
Those helmets with the trench art were super cool. I bet there was enough there with the Unit and names to do a lot of research. Those are pieces you would expect to see behind a glass case in a museum somewhere. Which reminds me, I've been going to Garage and Estate sales for the past 30 years. I've seen dozens and dozens of WW1 trench art pieces over the years and never once considered buying one. Silly me. Then again, when I was 17 years old I went to a few Gun Shows in Topeka Kansas and Kansas City, this would have been around 1986 or so, they had tables full of German Daggers and the prices? $45 - $55 - $65 with some being no more than $100 - $125. I remember the prices specifically because, I wanted one but didn't have the $55 dollars to buy one. $55 in 1986 would have been, price adjusted for 2021 ... about $137.28 according to the internet. And 17 year old kids don't exactly have $140 to splurge like that haha.
Hello Sir! Very nice and relaxing video after hard day at work. I enjoyed. I just bought Gravity knife in box whole package and like to know the real value. I seen on some website , sold about 5000 , exactly what I have ,but without the rope .
Interesting as always. Can you have some one help with the filming and you a Rob do a unboxing together?? I like how both of you guys work together. Of course your still the "old man " but I like the business is a family.
As a collector of musicians swallowsnests it is a little disappointing that so few show up in the unboxing . I must be in a very small collecting niche heh.
Tom drinks whiskey as others drink tea. It is a trait acquired from long practice. I would be incoherent by the middle of the unboxing, if I drank like Tom does!
You’re a good man and I like you. But you take too much time smoking and drinking. And I am not against either of those but it takes too much time off of the Und boxing
thank you m.wittmann,i am a fan of your video, i am the guy from québec canada,i write to you last day, thanf for your quick answer, very good video,,,
Amazing how many different daggers they made. First glider pilot one I’ve seen. Great job as always, thanks
Great unboxing again 👍🏻

Great video - can I ask if it might be possible please to also let us know what you paid for the daggers and what they are worth IYO?
Fantástico video!!!!!!
Make sure in that pelican case the swords are in that there isnt a second layer of items under the foam.
Wow, that first helmet tho, SUPER neat

Good video my dad was in the 29th Division
Could you tell us why daggers/edged tools were so important to the men of the 3R
Hi , Super !
Todo rigurosamente autentico
THOMAS WITMAN IS LEGEND
Guten tag Herr Wittmann 🖐️👌
With the veterans cap, wouldn't those metal initial bades leave the initials pressed into the wearers forehead!?
Let's go Brandon!
From when is the SS funeral sash? It says "...the soldiers from the former Waffen SS". Is it a post-war sash from veterans?
Yes, you answered your own question.
Post-war, yes. But authentic, for what it is and carries some value and desirability
How long have you been collecting German world war II stuff and what is your most rare item in your collection
Another great video don't be so tough on the moths ....👺👺👺
Nice

34:48 I'd say it had a yellow camo with black lines on it, like you'd see in north africa and italy
Bright and early and already smashed
Interesting as always. Can you have some one help with the filming and you a Rob do a unboxing together?? I like how both of you guys work together. Of course your still the "old man " but I like the business is a family.
Gruß aus Düsseldorf..as Always.thank you Sir.in one Week i have my first HJ knife.juhu
As a collector of musicians swallowsnests it is a little disappointing that so few show up in the unboxing . I must be in a very small collecting niche heh.
Very small. Most collectors have never even seen one in real life
I have no idea what you are talking about and I imagine most others don't either. That would explain why you see so few of them.
Love the helmets I have 3 m40 s
I laughed when I saw the riddled helmet. Obviously shot by a later owner to give it a little 'character'.
He was a half truck operator
kid in a candy store.......
Fantastic video Tom. The sash is post war HIAG was or is the waffen SS veterans association
Your getting good at this Tom, you should do this for a living 🇬🇧 Prost …
Hi Sir your drinking is Tea or whisky? Santé !
Tom drinks whiskey as others drink tea. It is a trait acquired from long practice. I would be incoherent by the middle of the unboxing, if I drank like Tom does!
helmets is my thing and i have a great m42 collection , i just need a good m42 police helmet to be complete
The nose is almost as red as the table .....
Chicken wire is fake
So is the white ss helmet. Can't speak on the other.
@@TheArizonan I'm glad you noticed that too
How about the group of bullet holes? I would only pay scrap price for that one.
You’re a good man and I like you. But you take too much time smoking and drinking. And I am not against either of those but it takes too much time off of the Und boxing
I watch it at 1.75x speed and it flows quite smoothly. It makes Tom quick and agile with his movements!
