The fact that Roger both actively tries to save and destroy the environment through his personas is genius.
I like that Roger has a persona that is an environmental activist and a persona that owns a huge oil company.
Roger probably makes up 1/10 of the population globally

I love how Roger can be a protagonist or an antagonist,depending on his persona. He takes them so seriously 😂
And a persona of a stripper who hates to take off his clothes. It’s more like his personas are antagonistic to humanity in some shape or form
He’s playing both sides, so he always comes out on top
The fact that Roger has all the physical and financial resources to actually mass produce these solar panels properly, but chooses to be ineffectual just to keep his own bit going is one of the great things about him. Roger truly cant get stale, because he can be anyone.

Roger has legitimately 'good' personas. Like Super Positive Asian Roland Chang. And depending on your perspective, Jeannie Gold is good in that she pulls out all the stops to ensure that her clients will have a wonderful wedding. In short, Roger commits, to either positive or negative of his personas.

I just saw Roger listed as a dishonorable mention on Watchmojo’s list of animated characters who have become unlikable over the years. He’s on there because he’s become a sociopath....umm...Rogers been a sociopath since Season 3 and we love him for it 😁

@@danielperez143 You’re right, I meant to say few consequences. But even those consequences are resolved by the end of the episode, if I recall correctly.
Roger’s character has fallen into the winning end of what I call “The Tom & Jerry Equation”, yes, super nerdy, but fuck it lol . Anyway, like Jerry, Roger has basically become an antagonist that never gets his just dues by the end of the episode. Making viewers dislike him, for they see him as just another bully.

Indeed it is. American Dad has in my opinion surpassed even The Simpsons and Family Guy. Just like South Park. AD and South Park are the only two adult cartoons I'm still on good terms with.
@Ben Carroll yeah South Park isn’t exactly painful like modern Simpsons or Family Guy. I’m just not a fan of the season long story arcs they were doing.

Like the time they rosted him and Steve mentioned that Roger raped a checkbook and was addicted to the fictional 90210 drug Euphoria.

I really like how this episode encourages the use of solar energy.

Clean solar energy is far better than dirty fossil fuels. That is why more and more people use solar. It is no longer a pipe dream, it has already become a reality. The huge cost reductions in solar technology have made it even cheaper than fossil fuels, just like with wind. The combination with batteries or pumped hydro storage offer reliable energy 24/7 that does not pollute the environment. Instead of releasing toxic, carcinogenic and Earth heating chemicals into the air like fossil fuels do, solar cells do not release any chemicals into the air. They are safe and at the end of their lifetime, they can be fully recycled and provide green, inexpensive energy again. The more solar energy will be used, the more widespread recycling will become. If we want to save the environment, solar, along with other renewables, are our best bet.

@@l-dogtheman1685 the problem is the amount of energy needed to supply the world. Solar doesn’t make a dent worthy of touting about yet. It’s good, we just need a better way to capture that energy.

My favourite Roger personas are the naive, sensitive ones, because that's totally Not Roger. Dr Sunny Saunderson and JÔsé Bōsé, the gay, naive, illiterate hair stylist are my favourite, because he commits so completely.

Now, I may be pro nuclear, but I'm glad solar power is doing well right now.
Note, funny thing about this is it still wouldn't work. Solar power isn't viable due to it running counter intuitive to the power needs. In short power generation is highest mid day. While power use turns out to be lowest mid day. And sense their is no way to store said power. It will most likely just damage the energy grid and lead to blackouts and fires.

There is a way to store it. We discussed getting the battery packs to store electricity that wasn't generated by solar and use it during our peaks. I think it was by Tesla and it had the option to come with solar panels. But we would just buy more electric from someone else to charge it. It would have been the only one on the east side of the Mississippi if we had gone through with it. It costed well over a million dollars. I was a student board member for our REMC and got to be there for all their business meetings. I served my term before we reached a decision.

I mean... you're not wrong... but... that's mostly due to human interference. I'd say it's like 20 to 30 percent of the general publics fault, and the rest can be split up between bug buisness and the government.
Also... just for the sake of the argument. If the general public decided to "go green" there is no shot in hell the government and corporations would just "do the thing".

I think TBS American Dad has had a lot of great episodes. Also some improvements imo. Hayley,Klaus,and Jeff appear a lot more regularly then on Fox and I love all the drastic changes in Hayley and Klaus’s characters.

I agree. There are some TBS episodes that I really like but fox American dad was better. I feel like tbs American dad is weaker. The show just had a better feeling on fox, I can’t explain it. I would like fox American dad even more if they had more freedom like they do in the tbs episodes nowadays. I can’t stand with how they have to say shit every 5 minutes.
