As someone who had a turbulent homelife despite having a successful family, I get it. The pain children feel (abuse, neglect etc) usually makes its way into early adulthood(18-25) when we're most vulnerable. If we are not in the right headspace, our vices become our escapes. As someone who had a turbulent homelife despite having a successful family, I get it. The pain children feel (abuse, neglect etc) usually makes its way into early adulthood(18-25) when we're most vulnerable. If we are not in the right headspace, our vices become our escapes. It's a bigger hole to dig and come out of for rich folks because of the fast and easy access often extended to them
