When I was in High school I helped a classmate whom was a girl. We were in our cooking class and I noticed she was havinv trouble tying her apron. Little did I know, I made the most horrible decision in my life, I helped her. She looked at me like I was some creep but I said "I'm sorry but you seem to be having a hard time putting on your apron" she didn't say a word. After a day has passed, I noticed a lot of my girl and some of my guy classmates seem to be looking at me in a weird way like I was some sort of offender of some sort. I asked one of my classmates and they told me that the girl that I helped, told a rumor that I was harrasing her and touching her in weird places. I was shocked to even speak up. Months pass and I had to change schools because my reputation on that school was permanently tarnished.

Too many angry scowling faces turn what’s supposed to be a healthy and happy experience into an uncomfortable one. It’s not meant to be that way but that’s what it is. Not all gyms but some.

as a female personal trainer I never wear straight underwear, and also when men offer to help I always thank them so much, even if I end up doing it myself. It’s not a big deal, the community is helpful and like you said, a lot of the time people are just waiting to use the equipment.
Also I know sometimes guys do want to talk and it takes courage to walk over and talk!
It’s not always with insidious intentions and maybe he’s just really shy.
There’s only a handful of Olympic barbells and squat racks and they’re always in high demand.
I understand being weary at the gym as a woman, i mean I had a guy leaving notes on my car to be my sugar daddy and when it didn’t stop I switched gym locations BUT walking around in underwear and then getting upset when people look at you just is ridiculous. How is anyone supposed to sympathize?
Even when I was a trainer I would wear larger T-shirts, and it partially is because I want to just go there and workout - not film, not photo op. And because I want clients to see me with respect and not just see me showing off body.
    Sorry for the rant lol.

At one side they wanna be able to wear anything anywhere(free the nіpple and stuff), which I'm on board with: no need to discriminate women and give them different standards than for men. On the other, they don't want men to even be able to look? And coming up and talking is harassment? And can't give comments and/or compliments? So on the other side they don't respect the freedom of expression rights of other people. Not cool tbh.

Ultimately it only harms yourself, the OP mentioned he's 31 and hasn't even kissed a girl, which is fine if that's his preference, but odds are there have been women out there who he could have been happy with if he hadn't been a perfectionist. And sure, women often make the same mistake. I then had to knock myself down a peg and realise that dating apps aren't real life and not grow a insufferable ego out of it but I can see why it can make people egotistical and I know women get loads of likes on them so I can see how it can make SOME women develop a sense that all men are attracted to them when it isn't the case at all.

I almost forgot how a girl, back in high school, traumatized me by a comment she made about me... to my friend. There was a girl I thought was pretty, and I asked her out on a date, and she said she wasn't sure (I don't know why "no" was so hard... it was DURING school, and other students were within eyesight). I said O-K, and walked away (probably back to my friend). Sometime later (days... maybe a week or two), I saw her again, and I asked her out for a date. This time, she said (with 100%, absolute assuredness... I say in jest), "I don't think so". That's fine... I take that as "no" and have no intention to ask her out again. The next day, my friend talks to me about that girl (who I've put behind me, because logically... I don't want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with ME), and he tells me that she didn't want to go out with me, because she thought I might want to rape her. WHAT??! I asked her out for a date (not badgering her either time), and her takeaway was that I wanted to rape her??? I refused to have sex with MANY dates or girlfriends (and thinking back, it's ASTONISHING the number of gf's I had, who kept pressuring me to have sex). It wasn't until I was 25, in a relationship for a while (and thinking THIS WOMAN could be the one), my gf seduced me into having sex. I would have waited until getting married, but "she" may have planned on seducing me that night.
Anyway... "sex" was THE LAST THING ON MY MIND, when I asked that girl at school on a date! She said that to my friend... who knows whether she told her friends - or EVERY GIRL AT SCHOOL!?! I was really upset, and that could have actually started a rumor! I never asked another classmate out for a date after that. If that happened today, with EVERYONE having cell phones and social media... I would have been vilified, even though I did nothing wrong (Like that guy at the gym - whose face she didn't even bother to obscure. Don't they have rules / laws, against taking pictures or videos of other people at the gym?!). 🙁

I have this to say, before even getting started on the vid: People ask cops and lawyers questions about the law or what to do about a neighbor when they are off duty or not in the office; people ask therapists, psychologists, etc. questions about how to tell if they are crazy or what to do about a neighbor when they are at home or at a party; people ask doctors medical questions when they are out to dinner, people ask writers questions about how to write a book or to read their work when they are at a party or out to dinner or etc. There is no reason there should be an expectation that because you became a sex worker no one is going to look at you as one when you are not in the "office". If you sexualized yourself in public in one place, you've sexualized yourself in all places, at least potentially. And, you have to accept the fact that anyone who recognizes you or sees the difference in how you carry yourself after this has become your lifestyle are going to respond to the person you now are.
However, also, humans are humans. Women openly putting themselves on display have to recognize the fact that men are likely to notice that they exist and are attracted, unaffected or repulsed based on their personal likes and dislikes. So do men have to accept that about women.
One time we were driving down the road, me and my sister, and I turned my head for some other reason altogether and saw this incredibly beautiful middle aged or so possibly Israeli man- so dark hair, gray in his beard that contrasted, white teeth in a darkish face, shinining eyes- who was slim, muscular, and scantily clad because he was wearing bicycle gear. His calf muscle nearest to me was very well shaped and flexed. And, I involuntarily said, "Ooh!"
That was not polite. Nor was it planned. And, did he make a video about what a sexist pig I was for treating him like eye candy? No. He said thank you and then we never saw each other again but we were both al ittle happier for the involuntary compliment that happened. His smile was so big, and he looked even better for having heard and accepted it for what it is.
If a man notices you in the gym and finds you appealing- even if you are a man and you are not into men- take it as the compliment it is. You don't need to engage with him, but if he tells you that you are looking good, say "Thank you." and move on with your life. Mostly anyone is going to consider that a pleasant exchange on both sides.

Women like this make me wish there was an all guys gym near me. A lot of the women at my gym don't even have basic gym etiquette. Example, I'm doing incline dumbbell press. I just finished my set, I'm walking up to swap my DBs out for heavier ones. I left my shaker bottle AND phone AND headphones on the bench. I come back and this girl is taking my stuff off the bench and setting it on the floor next to it. I told her, excuse me Ms I'm using that. She goes UGH like I just offended her, gives me a dirty look and walks off. This isn't the first time this has happened either. So now I leave my old DBs on top of the bench, get the new ones, and then rack the old ones. Most of them thankfully can't lift one 70 pound DB much less 2 of them at the same time. Sad that I even have to do things like that because many modern women have no consideration for others and think the world revolves around them.

Its funny because im a fat ass old dad bod in casuals that looks like a crossbreed of dicaprio and jack black, 5'8" i mean. I really look like shit. Feel like shit. I joke with my friends that even though i have severe health conditions from being closer to 40 and never really being healthy my entire life and having issues, like a bulging disk bad knees ect i could be dying of infectious disease or heart failure and these girls will still be thirsten for my attention when I go out. Its actually ridiculous that I get looked at and flirted with by like 50% of every younger girl I interact with and its to the point where I have to avoid going out to certain areas or stores ect. Or have to avoid specific women. Never thought of recording it and complaining about it on twitter though. Or maybe ill just be like these spoiled ladies that are so common today and claim that I am a disgruntled victim. Its astonishing that there are people now where their biggest issues in life are unwanted attention or looks from people, or really just basic common casual friendly interaction is now a common females biggest gripe. As a carpenter and a bit of a rough neck male growing up in female centered society, Its just mind boggling the radical differences and discrepancy between the sexes now and how different our lives and problems are. Male problems are like, we would jump on any opportunity to live and let live. Like most men just want any chance at survival and peace, freedom ect.. And Women are like, OMG that creep looked my way he even talked to me ew let me go rage online about it with the other 10000 bored feminazis on twitter who have nothing better to do than lay around complain and seek validation

As someone who goes to the gym almost every day, People honestly just want to keep to themselves. The gym I go to is mainly filled with men and they really just want to do their own thing and resume their workout. And in the few times that we have spoken, they are always very kind and respectful. Even when I’ve seen interactions with others, the men are always ready to go out of their way to help a fellow gym bro or lady.
