Out decades before it was written - excellent
Started writing it in 1937 so it's not entirely off.
@@rsolsjo He started writing about Middle-Earth during WW1 also.
Obviously Tolkien plagiarised it! 😮
@@abandonedfilmsyeah, but in that time he started what would later become the Silmarillion, the idea of lord of the rings appeared in the 30s and finally It began to be written in the 40s
The film came first!😂
Easily the best thing I sauron UA-cam today!
Ha! Ha!
Aragorn and watched it again lol
CARLOS!
You can pick up the worst hobbits reading these comments...sorry..kind of lost control there..just wanted
Balrog Legolas Smeagol Boromir ever! Did I get this punning thing right?
日本人です。
日本で無声映画と聞くとつい「弁士さん」「楽士さん」の名前が頭をよぎります。この映像を観ても、思わず弁士さんの名調子が脳内再生されます。
Better than anything Hollywood is putting out today.
🤝🤝🤝
They should do a ROP version, just have someone throwing dung at the camera.
Good to see you try a different decade's style.
yeah... I want to see silent movie versions of all the movies now.
The most ambicious film in every era
Ambitious?
Damn, i missed the original movie. But the book adaptation was spectacular!
The extended editions of both were much better.
Amazing! Thank you for discovering this lost classic. Truly the sands of time run strangely through the glass.
This is extremely clever, especially considering the fact that the novel wouldn't be published for another thirty-some years!
I think just 15 or 20 even.
I want this. I want THIS version filmed. It's not better then the original and not worse. It's different and should be done.
this is the original !
Beautiful work! Directed by F.W. Murnau
My money is on Fritz Lang.
The music is more early sound era musical than a silent era fantasy but otherwise excellent. The long shots are especially nice. The close ups look good though the lighting on many of the actors’ faces is more 1940s and 50s than 1920s. Overall pretty astonishing.
Agreed. The music sounds like a World War 2 news reel.
The Ringwraiths look incredible
Galadriel.
If it were in the 1940s, Peter Lorre would be Gollum. No makeup is needed.
@nanoeletron ooh, yeah totally.
Directed by Fritz Lang.
You could play Gollum today. No makeup is needed.
@@jamesdaniels8007 ?
At least they have Tom Bombadil! Although, I'm not sure you'd be able to tell that his jacket was bright blue and his boots were yellow.
I wish you could make an entire A.I. Lord of the Rings 1920 series now. I mean, this is amazing stuff! I'd watch it over and over.
5 more years well see full movies hopefully. 10 more years, fully interactive VR movies
@@zzygyy IT will be so much better than the shit we have now lol.
@@the1ucidone absolutely.
I see the progression mirroring film history. First silent film with background music, similar to this. Then progression until we get photorealism, speech, and extensive movement/action.
@@zzygyyI was just saying to my kids imagine watching a movie in VR but you can watch it from the viewpoint of any actor and interact with things throughout the movie
"Fly, you imbeciles!"
"One doth not simply stride into Mordor!"
Fly, you stooges!
I can't begin to describe how beautiful this is, especially seeing what I'm pretty sure is Tom Bombadil.
Make an animated comic book! That'd be awesome.
The AI doesn't seem to realize just how painfully limited special effects were in the 1920's. Still cool to see what it could have been like with an infinite budget and cutting edge special effects though!
What? There are some AMAZING special effects from the '20s.
LOTR & 5th Element in 24 hours?? Your spoiling us!!!
ऐसा वीडियो बनाते रहो ❤️very nice
Genius! Now do it in the style of The Singing Ringing Tree 😄👏👏👏👏👏
Galadriel is stunning
Too frustrating! lol... I want them to be real!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! Your work is amazing.
The visual effects are brilliant
😱😱😱😱😱 qué obra de arte, yo nunca hubiera pensado que hubiera películas del Señor de los Anillos en los años 20 👏👏👏👏👏🤗👍
1 minute and 30 seconds way better than rings of power
Thank you for doing this. The intensity of the characters was captured well considering its probably all AI generated. Both Aragorn and Boromir have smoldering eyes.
wow, the characters acting almost look like the modern version, impressive.
The best AI filmmaking I've seen so far.
Bravo. One of my favorites. A couple of suggestions....
0:29 if Gandalf had been riding a small mule it would've been an LOL moment. Missed opportunity.
Dark eyeshadow and long lashes on the closeups. That's what they did in the silent era.
Use Lillian Gish as one of the models for the female parts. Biggest silent era star of them all.
Excellent work.
1 Billion times better than the RANGS of Prime by Amazon.
Wow 20s lotr was produced amazing
Wow man, this is awesome -- just discovered your channel
Fun! I'd have adjusted the frame rate, and exposure a to match that of the time. I believe it was 18 FPS
Really really cool
Wow... Oh my god, this is so good.
Superb😊
Exceptional.
this was dope - i hope you do a whole series like this
Could you do The Fifth Element next?
I know, right? He's done the first four, why stop there? Give us the fifth one!
Man, I'd love to do the Fifth Element!
Lets be honest about how this starts...
"In the land of the Drunk Midget Micks..."
This was really well done I’m very familiar with silent films and this might be the best AI style - in recreation I’ve seen yet
Aragorn's lazy eye is a great touch; take note, Viggo, that's how you create a character
So, this is where Tolkien got the idea from...
That actually works ... except about three decades before the tome's release. Still, the flavor and the look is amazing. Thank you.
Ideally should’ve had that speeded-up cranked camera feel, and lowering the resolution for that softer, vintage film stock look. Otherwise, this is great and very amusing! All these spoof AI trailers fire the imagination!
Imagine having this as a nightmare
Lord Elrond is gorgeous!
Some of the faces in certain scenes resemble a shape-shifter made of wax being caught in a rice-picker whiles the sun is melting him.
The Council of Elrond actually looks a lot better here than in the movie. In the movie I thought they really cheaped out on the set.
Beautiful! I love it.
Funny how those ancient actors look uncannily like those in the modern LOTR franchise. Funny that, must be our old friend AI at work!
It’s great but some light camera movements are already too complex for this time.
For anyone interested in seeing an actual silent Lord of the Rings, then check out Fritz Lang's Die Nibelungen (1924). Based on the Germanic poem Nibelungenlied, itself based upon the same Germanic heroic legends as Tolkien's work.
How is it possible that this clip look so much better than rings of power?😅
I loved Shemp when he played Gollum
Only us boomers get this joke. It's high class!
@@the1ucidone full on boomer humor 😂
The books came out in 1937! Must have had a Time Machine
These are so awesome!
this was more enjoyable than Rings of Power.
Even better than 50s panavision.
How, how, how can you continue to improve with every release?!?!🤯 Perfect restraint by not using vocal narration. You must be using German expressionist cinema prompts because you nailed it. I really need to see the full length feature...🌌🙏🏼🌌
Would love to see this!
LOVE THIS! Now, do the MCU Silent Film era 😁
I'd go to see this movie!
This is more frightening than the modern movie
That was a thousand times better than Rings of Power
Not sure about the music, but other than that, it's excellent.
Sometimes I have to wonder-what if we never got past the silent film era? XD
Even in the 1920s there's plot spoilers! XD
The camera was always static back in those times. That breaks the impression.
New subscriber. I Love AI made videos.
Cool. Do Back to the future in the 20s. 😬
I would definitely go to see that. It looked better than Rings of Power.
Looks better than the movies and the movies were awesome.
What app or software is he using ?
Best looking movie of the past 30 years 😂
Elrond here looks more Elrond that PJ's Elrond. :)
You're the best buddy, keep em coming !!! Won't be long before you have copycats just like Panavision, don't matter cause you still blow them away.
I could picture Lon Chaney as Gollum.
That first shot of "Strider" is how he would have looked if Stuart had kept the role!
The reel was found in an old cardboard box at the local ale house in Bree.
This was so well done.
I really want to see this. An AI movie like this could be slapped together
Dude, its awesome. I laughed like hell
Fantastic!
I'm curious - why are character so often going backwards? Especially in crowd scenes?
Genius.
Sooo Coooool 😍😍😍💖💖💖💖 I love it!
A reverse-era AI version of Metropolis done in modern-style, please!
This looks amazing
This is great! 👏👏
This is more true to Tolkien than Amazon's Rings of Poor.
Better than BIRTH OF A NATION!
Огонь! Обожаю Властелин колец ❤
HoTD needs to be edited down to about this length.
My nitpick is that the actress's makeup lacks the distinctive look of the silent era. The hair and outfits are dead on, though! Bravo.
Make it happen right away i wanna watch it
To be continued... 😂 so good 👍
