Indeed David Bowie really wanted to play Elrond, also it was Christopher Lee's life long dream to play Gandalf, but in the end he did the most incredible portrayal of Gandalf's alter ego Saruman.
Huh? How is Saruman Gandalf's "alter ego"? Saruman is a maia called Curunír, Gandalf is a maia called Olorin. @@FranciscoMartinez-rr7cqthe rings of horseshit power
We don't talk about that show
There's no way this movie could have been made. Casting some of these top tier actors would have blown the budget.
And to get all of them to agree would have been tough. Safe to say the casting would have lead to a very underwhelming story and direction
AI... Hold my power source.
A back-end gross percentage may have persuaded most to cut their nominal salary to work for SAG wages.
Все было идеально, весь каст.нечего вообще такое говно пилить с заменой актёров
@@seriousnesstv7902They tried with Sean Connery ie
Funny thing about this is the lord of the rings movies were only like 2 years away from being the actual 90s
Yeah, also Elijah wood being in the movie was very 90's.
A chunk of it was filmed in the last three months of 1999 too.
David Bowie as Elrond is perfect!
Wtf ??? I could watch this over and over and over.... Hellashit!!!!!
What a fantastic choice of actors/actresses- love this!
@0:03 Why is there a river outside Bilbo's door???
It’s to help resale value
thought bilbo popped some shire shroomies
My honest theory, AI wants to drive us insane
@@thlslsmadness88 for sure AI is making things interesting Samsung phones now have advanced intelligence which in my opinion sounds better than artificial
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was very well done but it made me kinda sad at how many of these great actors are no longer with us.
Really isnt the beauty of movies that the actors never age or perish they stay with us forever
Awesome, absolutely awesome
They started filming fellowship of the ring in 1999.... so that is 90s lord of the rings......
Thank you, wanted to say that, too.
Would imagine a "real" 90's lotr would have been cast and partly shot in the late 80's
Lord Of The Rings gave birth to the new millennium
You're correct. And in a metaphorical, cultural sense, The Matrix was like the Fellowship of the Ring of the 90s (both are strongly aligned with the Hero's Journey story arc, similar to Star Wars)
OMG!!!!!!!! It is awesome!! I could see them doing this!! Please, please do more!! Thank you thank you so much!! I am 67 and saw these movies when they came out. I have all the extended movies and feel that they were the best movies ever made. It brought tears to my eyes!! I know they have been done with AI's but it made my day!!! Please make more!
Same sentiment, same age.
your selection is masterful
I would've loved to see Michelle Pfeiffer as Galadriel. Such an extraordinary beautiful woman.
Loved her in Ladyhawk and Stardust.
Good pick. Good pick. And Michael J. Fox as Bilbo would've been a treat to watch.
I seriously cannot get this casting out of my head now! What a fabulous picture this could have been with this cast!
Good work😊
Especially I like the remixed music😊
since LOTR came out in 2001, a "90s" trailer really shouldn't be too far off from the real thing.
You're not wrong. All these actors COULD have played in the Jackson LoTR movies.
Y2K. Just sayin'... 😉
Filming started in 1999 😂
David Bowie, Robin Williams, Richard Harris and Brendan Gleeson are amazing choices ! Also Michelle Pfeifer as Galadriel is amazing ! Great work.
I personally think Michelle Pfeiffer would make a better Eowyn!
Christopher Lee was already perfect.
It was a very good clip, the idea was great, the details were excellent, the color scheme and the combination of the subjects were fantastic. I really enjoyed it. Kudos to you!
Cast Max von Sydow as Saruman.
The Fellowship: **Struggles to cross the Redhorn Pass to avoid going to the Mines of Moria.**
Patrick Swayze Legolas: "There is a Ghost voice on the air."
Sean Connery Gandalf: "IT'SH SHARUMAAAN!!!"
**Camera pans from the Misty Mountains to Isengard showing Saruman chanting a spell at the peak of Orthanc.**
Max von Sydow Saruman: "THE POWER OF CARADHRAS COMPELS YOU!!!"
Genius
This is bizarrely cool!
Oh my soul! This video, the quality of the landscapes and the actors as the characters they would play actually brought tears to my eyes--this was so brilliant! I love every bit of "recasting." This was superb, absolutely superb!
Bowie as Elrond is very impressive! Could it be that Elrond has been playing Bowie for 50 years?
I love this casting! great job.
I'd want to watch it all over again with this cast 👍🏼
Not to say Sir. Christopher Lee didnt absolutely nail Saruman, but Richard Harris at full blast would have been a terrifying Saruman.
This looks epic! Cant wait!!
Dumbledore as Sauron has to be one of the most fascinating and unexpected crossovers in fanfiction
Saruman*
all I have to say. Is….. now do the whole complete trilogy form beginning to end. You could make 100's of millions.
“Whole complete”, as opposed to what? Half complete? Whole unfinished?
@@Frankie5Angels150 Means not clips from. Relax, breathe.
You could make 100s of millions - happy❤❤❤
Relax the hyperbole, jesus.
But it would cost 1 billion so
Wow! that kicked ASs! I Loved it!
I wish they had included Tom Bombadil in the movie. If so, Robin Williams would have been perfect!
Now that is one hell of a cast!! Well done.
What a great cast❗️👍❤️❗️
My favorites are Tom Bombadil and Gandalf and Grima, also Pfeiffer would've been an amazing Galadriel.
All I can say is wow! I am 60 and yes I could see Lord Of The Rings with these actors. Sad that only AI can show us this, but I am really impressed at the concept. Well done.
Are you kidding me? This is freaking amazing! 😮
Wow amazing work!!
These are so much fun to watch it really helps to forget about stuff and put a smile on my face thank you
Robin as Tom would have been absolutely perfect.
This REALLY makes me wish they could have gotten that cast together for those films cause MY GOD what a show they would have put on and a tribute it would have been to J.R.R.TOLKEN
This guy should be a casting director for all the studios he knows better then the studio people themselves, awesome once again 👍☺️☺️☺️
I agree. New caster, please.
The casting ! Brilliant and hilarious !!
David Bowie as Elrond! Amazing
I have to agree to everyone saying the casting is absolutely brilliant.
It's also impossible. It would have made the movie the costliest movie of all time and the most bombastic.
1 billion just for the actors. 😂
Don't forget to put Hugo Weaving in there somewhere. He'd make a good elf.
Yeah he'd make an excellent Elrond 😏
Geeze I’m sold. This also made me super nostalgic and sad for the better times now behind us.
Jack Black as Sam is just perfect!
Актер который своим участие погубил не один фильм. Зрители его не любят.
This line up is actually pretty friggin amazing, so many good outside the box choices here.. i didn't think Ian McShane would be old enough to be Theoden in the 90s.. i had to look up his age, figured he was in his late 60s today.... nope 82, amazing.
Brendan Gleeson as Gimli seems like he would grab orcs neck and chock them saying “Tell me where is Aragorn, or I will pull your guts through your throat!”
Shoulda remembered the rocks......
This is great love the choices. Jennifer Connelly as Arwen! You got good taste sir !
The most beautiful woman on the planet in the 90s, bar none. Of course she would be Arwen.
@@MrSpriggher ? No she is mid
@@Geni-yh1pv Today, maybe. In 1995? She had no equals.
This is pretty slick. I would have to say that would have been an awesome cast!
Mr K Dilkington will be very pleased with Eowyn's casting.
Clive Warren could have played any of those parts
