Danny Ainge wants 1st round picks. Knicks gave them all up. Knicks need to go over the top to get Kessler. Take the gamble and give Jazz some good players.

He’s really solid and more than likely cheaper than Kessler. The thing is his health. He’s been better since the Hornets went with Mark Williams as the starter.

Whats with elevating deuce to a deity ? He is a decent undersized guard who would be far easier to replace than a center who can go against Embid or other top centers . Deuce is very expendable
You need a Jrue Holiday/Marcus Smart type to stop penetration. If anything he should be getting more minutes next year to rest Brunson and gain that floor general experience.
The fact that there are Kessler rumors means it probably isnt going to happen tbh. Leon and crew seem to move in silence.

Kessler's a good player BUT he does have holes in his game: The reason he got sent to the bench is because he couldn't keep up with the quicker guards on Utah's 3-2 defense that beat him to the hoop or to the arc, ironically, Jericho Sims' forte. He also committed a lot of clumsy fouls and would often get into early foul trouble, so opposing teams set him easily(it's the reason he was benched on the Olympic rookie team, also).
He did improve his 3's from 21% to 33% (doesn't like it, though) and FT from 51% to 60% and can shoot from 10 feet but most of his baskets are from running the rim, just like Jericho Sims. The Knicks are NOT good at the lob nor the pick and roll and don't feed their 5's, either, something Kessler (and for that matter, Sims) needs to be productive on offense.
No way Ainge trades him without fleecing the Knicks of players (think Deuce ,Sims and/or Precious) and two first round picks (Kocek,Dadiet and/or McCuller, etc), so not worth it. Not substantially better than Sims anyway who actually plays Kessler very well when they match up. Straight up deal, maybe, but this is not how Ainge trades....
If the trade is being talked about than it's not happening. Leon rose led knicks don't let out leaks.
Facts
The OG deal was talked about before it happened. Donte and Mikal were talked about before those deals happened. Rose is the only GM/pres I've seen make deals that were discussed in the media before they happened.
Mo Wagner is already signed by Orlando so he's off the table. I like the idea of adding Kessler, but I don't want to lose Deuce for him. Do you think we could pull off a sign and trade with Achiuwa + picks for Kessler?

I like deuce, but the backup 5 is a crucial role and you've gotta pay to play man. It'd hurt to see Deuce go but it'd be for a worthy cause. It'll take probably way more than Deuce and a couple FRPs to get that deal done though, which is scary. I'd rather have Kessler but I feel like Leon is gonna go the Nick Richards route and hopefully get him for crumbs. It'd probably be better for us in the long run too, teams don't just give up their second year center that made the all-rookie first team, especially when that GM is Danny Ainge.
We also said no way in hell nets trade Mikal to Knicks 🤷🤷🤷 Kessler can happen …

If we would have been able to keep Hartenstein, Mitch would be our backup. Losing him is far from nothing. Sticking with
Mitch without a really capable backup for when he is injured would very likely kill our championship ambitions. I don't know
about obsess but I'm sure Rose understands the seriousness of the Knicks center situation.

Center B R U N O C A B O C L O will cost just around $ 2 - 2.5 M. Man has bulked up, Giannis-esque, and is playing great right now as seen in the FIBA OQT. Hitting open threes, finishing lobs, attacking the basket, while patrolling the paint of course.

This would be considered a game changer for the Knicks... the young man is beyond coachable & Tom would foster one of the most talented centers in the league. He would fit perfectly in the system with premium upside. Without including Duce, I'd make the trade instantly. But Ange is a "Celtic" at heart... That's what the issue is(be clear). So he is the issue. Give him whatever he desires that won't destroy the team. Id love for this to happen.
I wouldn’t trade no more than Sims, Achuwa, & Burks for Kessler.

Nobody is looking at Dario Saric at all UFA and can be had for the vet minimum along with Precious. Yes he is only 6'10 225lbs but he has great passing court vision like somebody else we know(I.Hartenstien) and is a deadeye with 3ptrs too unlike somebody else we know and there is continuity with Manhattan Bridges with their playing days on the Suns.
I honestly don't believe Kessler to the Knicks is going to happen... Danny Ainge is anti-Knick and a die hard Boston Celtics fan... so I dont think he will do anything to hurt the Celtics but I also think he will only trade to the Knicks if he fleeces them... so the Knicks will have to pick their poison here and ask themselves... is it worth it to over trade for Kessler? I think the Knicks should move on if Ainge asks for too much.

The more I hear this Kessler rumor the more I think it's BS. Ainge is an awful GM to do business with. My gut tells me they're going with Precious, it's the easiest move to make, he can fill in for OG, Randle and Mitch
precious is more of a backup PF than C though.... knicks brass knows that the team is dead in the water if Robinson goes down. if they roll with just Achiuwa can guarantee they'll make a deal by the trade deadline. Achiuwa might as well be a traffic cone for a guy like Embiid or real centers. They need a 7 footer Precious just isnt big enough.

The only way this is the best off-season is if we in the Chip. That LJ trade got us to the finals. so we have to win it for it to be the best. Doesn’t have to be this year but within the next 3 to 5 years with these guys.

We cant afford Kessler... just way too much to lose overall. Im no GM or coach but imo the team is good enough with a 1-4 of Brunson, Mikal, OG and Randle that we can afford to let Ariel develop. The Knicks drafted him for a reason. We developed Deuce well. He can be a starting 2 somewhere. Areil has HUGE POTENTIAL. We dont need to overpay for anyone.

You're comparing Donovan Mitchell to Walker which ain't no comparison, and he sure ain't commanding what Gobet did. Ainge can't jump too far out the window. I like that Jalen Duren, Jaden Ivy trade for Mitch, Miles, a first, and some second round picks. Two players they could have had anyway.
They got 7 from OKC plus how eva many they already had, and they still have 5 future firsts. So to give up one plus how eva many seconds for them I would do wit the quickness. Jaden Ivy can take ova when Brunson needs a rest. What if they can get that deal and some how get Walker? 🤔
