Kolek has a shot to be something special. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. A solid young player’s growth can be stunted by the wrong system, by not getting enough playing time, by an injury, or something random. He has great potential and if he works hard during practices, I think his share of back up minutes will grow.

This is still just the preseason and the teams mostly play with their reserves. Just look at Dwane Washington Jr. being on the court and also being one of the standouts. That's enough to tell us that the bar is lower. But even so, I'm confident about our reserves and I believe that Kolek could really be ready to enter the rotation.

Kolek is super high basketball IQ and that is something that can't be taught. He will be an asset for the Knicks and will have a good NBA career.
