The two halves of my Standard Issue Staff V3 had sharper then I would like emitters, but the rest were butter smooth and there wasn't any anodizing or such I would damage if I took some fine grit sandpaper or a scotch-bright pad to, just to round over the sharp edge. My Ultrasabers Reaper didn't have a single sharp edge on it, minus the claws. The Relic pommel I got with my Saberforge ASP... not so much, there isn't a single rounded edge on that thing; just sharp 90 degree corners and points, and it's doesn't come without any anodizing on it, so I'll be wearing that away if I want it to not stab me. The type 12 emitter also has some edges that could do with a little attention. Just info for the first time saber buyer; you might need to round over some edges if you go Saberforge. I recommend both ultrasabers and saberforge. They are the only two companies I shop from. Ultrasabers are mostly recommended for beginners and saberforge sabers are for people who have been doing it for a while
One other thing to consider when ordering is time. Custom saber makers can take a lot of time to make one, even without sound packages like these. Ultrasabers usually sends out a saber within 2-4 weeks of ordering, while Saberforge could be 2 to 6 months.
@@LightspeedSaberLeagueYT My pleasure. If I may also that sound and extra bits do not slow the speed down much at all, so skipping options won't make it come faster. Even they are recommending 'light dueling at best' for their toughest models...most of which have thin plastic internal frames. Any dueling also voids their warranties.
I wonder if the Sabergorge Katana or Ronin are allowed since both have attached tsubas. There's now four different versions of the Katana now, but when I bought mine there was only one. Also, I wonder about the Vader's Vault Vanquish, its their own design of the cross guard saber. It's smaller than either of the cross guards by Saberforge or Ultrasabers, there's a channel by Darth Cephalus who comparing the three cross guards. For cheaper option there are LGT sabers sold by resellers: Darkwolf Sabers, Crimson Dawn Sabers, Vire Sabers and Rebel Sabers. The basic RGB in hilt models are around a $100 or so. They do have color changing, blaster sounds, flash on clash, etc but the sound fonts can't be changed. They come preinstalled with 6 or 9 fonts.
A shorter handle will help you generate more momentum when one handed fighting. A shorter blade doesn't have to be pulled back as far for a killing strike; so the efficiency of your movements should help find an opening. Hope that was a good explanation.
if you pick up a short and long tube that both weigh the same, the longer one will still be slower. it's not the weight that makes it slower or faster.
So... are Vader's Vault sabers allowed? Just asking out of curiosity, I'm not a fan of the "any clean touch is a point" fencing-style ruleset and would prefer something more HEMA-like where hit significance is taken into account so I won't be participating, but I'm curious because of the fact that Vader's Vault makes lighter-weight, smaller diameter hilts.
I'm unfortunately nowhere near a place I can actually compete yet however I was wondering if there were any intentions to make a class that was more of an anything goes on sabers? Since my build is illegal on 2 fronts, just because I dual wield and use a staff, I'd love to compete and if I must I can wait until the tano class is available and do that without the staff.
I have bought 2 from ultra saber. Didn’t really like them so I made one. Then it turned to 2. Now I’m on my third one lol. Something about making them makes you appreciate the saber more. And you can make it however you want.
I wanna buy a diamond saber but me and my friends go hard and I’m worried about damaging the internals of the hilt. Does anyone know if the diamond sabers are combat ready?
If you mean the ultrasabers, they should be. But be aware that they do not have like... anything to protect the electronics. You could build your own chassis maybe, or then get one for show and another one for combat. Or possibly even modify the electronics in a way, that you can easily remove the pricey parts when you want to duel. Don't do this is if you have to prior experience with anything related. they're quite bulky, so a reverse grip may be a bit of a hindrance. Reverse grip requires quite a bit of flexibility and strength in the wrists to pull off. (for how to use such a grip, I'd recommend channels like Allen Eason, Elwood Graestar, or my own channel Arisaig Ioach) But, overall, an apprentice or shoto tier from Saberforge may be more what you're looking for.
Ultra Saber and SaberForge are two of the bigger more known lightsaber makers but their not the only ones! SaberMach, Electrum SaberCrafts, Vader's Vault, and lots more! There's a buyers guide on the subReddit r/lightsabers that lists even more!
That would depend on the combat style you're going for, I'm getting 2 same length sabers for dual wielding since I use a rather standard dual wielding method however if you want to reverse grip the offhand I'd reccomend a standard length one and one of saberforge shotos with a mid-20s length blade, I tend to reccomend a shorter weapon in the offhand always but it really comes down to your preference and experience with combat implements. If you want to just be spammy I'd go with 2 shotos if your intention is to be able to switch up the attack method on the fly go with 2 same length sabers of mid length and if you want a good balance do a standard and a shoto.
When I first heard combat ready lightsaber I didn’t expect you to have pretend fights and my first thought was “Do they expect me to hold up a store with this thing?”

what ultra saber is good for reverse grip ? ilike to play like star killer and ashoka and also training for reverse grip for the saber staff dual sabers . i hate hold the sabers normal grip how everyone uses a saber normal i rarely see reverse grip can you upload more saber fights with saber staff users or reverse grip users ?
they're quite bulky, so a reverse grip may be a bit of a hindrance.
This is actually one of our most popular videos: ua-cam.com/video/qfsQ-_IhfVI/v-deo.html
I'm not sure any saber on the market is particularly good for reverse grip but I wonder if a curved hilt might create any advantage.
Are custom/galaxy edge even CLOSE to viable?
Not really. They're not designed to be easily modified to accept the lightspeed blade.
@@LightspeedSaberLeagueYT why can't it use the blade that comes with it?
@@thedoomslayer7512 too dangerous
Is this tough and unbreakable?
I got the initiate v2 thanks to u and i freakin love it
for ultra saber what blade should you get
are curved lightsabers allowed?
Ultra Saber and SaberForge are two of the bigger more known lightsaber makers but their not the only ones! SaberMach, Electrum SaberCrafts, Vader's Vault, and lots more! There's a buyers guide on the subReddit r/lightsabers that lists even more!
Do these blades bend easily?
What would be the best choice if I wanted to duel wield sabers
First, improve your English.
How did I got from a nerf custom blaster to lightsaber combat?
What about thick walled blades
What about dealing super_strong and fast blows so as to utterly overwhelm the opponent?
When I first heard combat ready lightsaber I didn’t expect you to have pretend fights and my first thought was “Do they expect me to hold up a store with this thing?”
What about curved hilts?
I’m saving up for a ultra saber dark apprentice v4
What would the dark saber be classified as
Where can I find some good Tano/Tyrant class sabers?
Usually saberforge elite sabers are long rey class sabers.
are the stunt sabers made for dauling because i want some sound in my blade?
Whether they're stunt or not doesn't matter.
