Lithops stuck in old leaves? Here's a quick fix! (Satisfying watch!)

  • In this video, I show you a 'hidden' Lithops that was struggling to emerge from a thickened old leaf pair that didn't dry out enough to split.
Sometimes after a Lithops splits, the old leaves don't fully dry out, especially in humid climates. This can make it harder for new growth to emerge, but we can help! You'll need some water and a pair of tweezers, and a small pair of scissors can come in handy.

Oh hooray, you’re growing a little community of weirdos! ❤ I do love when they clump and form a family!
Also, I love the color of these guys.

I'm glad I saw this video. I feel my lithop was trapped inside its own dead skin LOL. I peeled the Dead Leaf away and hope that it will grow more.

I was a wreck reading this 😅 It's so weird to pretty much operate on a delicate plant!

Got mine from Lowe’s & trying to
Save her. Top plant mush spots but what I see under is healthy. Not coming out tho. I can’t water at this point either.

@@SucsForYou hahaha yes ma'am! :) how do they tend to cope indoors? There's plenty of light, most of my succulents (apart from the ones that won't fit indoors) and they love the spot but I've noticed that, in past videos, that lithops are a bit... challenging? I haven't killed any type of succulents yet and don't want to start :)
      Thanks Andrea!

I actually changed my mind because mine look still too fresh and new of a split to try to pull them off the sides. It kind of still all looks alive. And it's been like a year since it split in those new-ish looking leaves are still there on the side so I'm just going to leave it
