Prime nails the dynamics between the boys. The disagreements and arguments aren’t obnoxious but sound like actual friends getting annoyed at each other. When they agree, they get mutually excited. It’s legit what makes him the best of these AI writers ; it’s a subtle dynamic to get right.
Hell yeah. PR definitely nails what made this trend popular in the first place (i.e. recontextualizing the more vitriolic presidential debates of recent years as an evening of shooting the shit with the boys; absolute genius).

This with Mattock makes the game manageable. Just hit adrenaline rush and murder on collector, then sit in cover till recharge is done. Has saved me many a time commander
Next tier list idea. Rank all the paragon/renegade interrupts in mass effect 2 & 3. Or maybe the most notable paragon/renegade choices throughout the series (ie. punch reporter or not)
New PrimeRadiancy Mass Effect content! This showed up on my recommended along with that King of the Hill clip where Hank says, "I'm about to bust!" Me too Hank, me too
I’m surprised that nobody mentioned that Tech Armor in 2 resets allied cooldowns when used, so you can instantly recover your shields and get your squadmates to lay some extra damage on whatever is harassing you.
To be fair, I don’t think the game tells you it does that anywhere. I personally learned about it when trying to figure out how to build ME2 Sentinel and a “guide” (more of a breakdown) in Reddit mentioned it.
Mass Effect 2 used to be my favorite, however between this video and the weapons Tier List I'm getting sold on Mass Effect 3. This game has more weapons, powers, better combat and less tedious mini games. Gameplay wise it just clears.
Right, get a Jetpack Mod and Charge on MEA Ryder and you have a really nice gameplay experience - shame the story and some of the companions are so lackluster
The gunplay and character physics of Andromeda were spot on for where I wanted to see Mass Effect grow. I hope The Next Mass Effect bridges the gap between the two. Give us more linear mission designs without empty massive overworld and design them to have more intricate combat arenas that empower you to use the terrain to your advantage in multiple ways. It would make replays even more interesting if they designed the combat arenas like an arena shooter. You could enjoy cover and slipping in and out of sight lines on Infiltrator in one playthrough and treat it as a jungle gym on vanguard in another, making use of charge to come in and mop a group while positioning yourself to move into cover to prepare for the next dive.
Gotta say this series has been entertaining to watch! I love to have these vids on in the background while I am doing work or playing tedious parts of games! I can't wait for the playlist to get longer and longer. Keep up the great content and drink plenty of water, Prime!
Another banger ME video as always! Would love to see tier lists for ME3 multiplayer classes, skills, weapons, enemies, and maps! Keep up the great work!
Just gonna throw down some support. I've gotten countless hours of entertainment from these and know more is on the way. I respect your grind and work ethic, but also your passion and seemingly genuine joy for the series. Keep em coming, drink plenty of water, and stay safe Prime!
I saw someone requesting multiplayer tier lists, and i wholeheartedly agree. Your videos made me start another playthrough, along with giving other guns and powers another chance. Id love to see the boys opinions on multiplayer in pretty much any capacity
Favorite so far is Fortification to enhance the damage for Charge and Nova, extra damage reduction while in there, Charge again to recover my barrier, and then finish anything off with gun and fist.
I too was inspired to dive back into the Trilogy because of your videos. You really capture what makes the series so great as well as it's lows in a healthy way a fan does. Thank you for the hard work and passion you put into these for us to enjoy.
Making another request for the multiplayer characters tier list. I've personally never done an insanity run before, but your videos are inspiring me to start.
It's certainly more of a challenge. There are 1-2 spots in each game I would call fairly frustrating on Insanity, but other than that it makes your power selection more important.
I always look forward to these mass effect videos where you rank things. It's cool to see how you're ranking for things compares to mine. Keep making more of these or other game rankings. Your videos are amazing and hilarious.
1: Your videos made me finally decide to start an insanity difficulty playthrough of Mass Effect. 2: I really like your walking dead tier lists, and can't wait for ranking The Walking Dead Final Season episodes video.
I very much enjoy this mass effect series with the bros. Love this lil group we got going on here, haven't finished the video yet i gotta say that Flare is a biotic artillery strike and is my favorite power in the franchise
You have no idea how much I love these videos. It sucks that the people I know on person don't play the trilogy and Andromeda but yet I know there'll be people on the internet to tall about Mass Effect
I can't believe ME2's adrenaline rush has taken such a injustice here. Situational? Not even close. Even with fire rate not being boosted, guaranteed headshots with its damage boost means you definitely still do more damage. Moreover, the extra toughness lets you fire without even caring that the enemies are firing at you. Its duration and cooldown are such that it is active more often than it isn't. Finally, it does not slow your movement or melee attacks, allowing you to outmaneuver and beat the hell out of almost any enemy, even krogan. Also, ME3's incendiary ammo's intermittent burst evolution is insanely busted. Even the basic avenger will annihilate basic enemies, shielded or not, like its nothing. By basic, I mean anything short of a banshee/atlas/prime. Easily S tier.
I also gotta highly disagree with most of his ME1 takes. The marksman and overkill skills give you a lot of DPS in the original when all the organic enemies are extremely tanky on insanity, and even on legendary edition they still help you clear rooms faster before you get the best weapons at level 50+. Also while immunity was nerfed, most of the time you only need it in an occasional emergency, so it’s clutch for whenever you’re about to get hit by a rocket or a shield piercing attack. Also the tech powers don’t do a very good d job as disabling attacks. Dampening only works on enemies that do tech and biotic attacks, and the radius isn’t big enough to hit all off them so you’re only going disable two in most situations, so it’s not going to help you much. Overload doesn’t even do that much damage, so it it confuses me that it’s that high up. Yeah it will definitely strip shields, but shields go down quick unless it’s a prime, armature or turret anyway.
The scripts for these videos are excellent. You might not see it this way, but you are honestly excellent at writing genuine and believable friendly dialogue. I love how the characters' opinions make sense and are consistent with their character, and the banter and disagreements etc. are entertaining and realistic. Maybe you should consider writing a book, seriously.
Marksman in Me3 is actually quite a potent power if you have an automatic weapon such as an Assault Rifle or an SMG. I used it on my Engineer and while the long cool down can be a pain, it's a good boss killer. Against a Cerberus Mech, Harvester or other bullet sponge it can make something like the Blood Pack Punisher absolutely melt enemies. Especially if you have a squad member giving you an ammo power like Incinderary or Armour Piercing.
My only change with this would be to make Flare S-Tier! Long cooldown yes but it’s again a literal nuke. Even on Insanity I clear about 3-4 enemies at once with a rank 6 flare. As an adept if you boost your biotic damage and then increase the radius of flare, it’s over. Plus the cooldown can be slightly balanced by bringing a lighter weapon. Doing an Insanity ME3 as Adept with nothing but the particle rifle brings the cooldown to about 8 seconds at the max. Then you have warp for armor, flare for shields/barriers and you can combo with them
Gotta make an argument for cryo ammo. It insta kills husks once it procs a freeze on them. Give cryo ammo the team affecting skill, then you shred shields and such with a different weapon or skills while your allies aim bot pop the husks.
On a more serious note though, I feel like Incendiary Ammo in ME3 should be S-tier, especially if the final explosive evolution is what we're talking about. The shotgun bit wasn't emphasized enough; each pellet triggering the explosion means it totally counters shotguns lack of armor pen, and the particle beam with this power emits explosions at just a phenomenal rate for incredible damage
Absolutely, I had James with a rapid fire weapon and that ammo and since he is so tanky. I could just point him out at a Brute and he will come back in 5 seconds fresh as a daisy while the brute lies at the floor dead.
Biotic charge is the single most fun skill in any 3rd person shooter, ever. Practically the definition of high risk-high reward. Deserves a tier of it's own, really.
Hi, I started binging this series recently since I have been suffering from severe bowel pain for 3 straight days and have been recently admitted to a hospital. This dumb shit has been keeping me distracted and sane this entire time so thank you.
Sweet tier list, mostly in agreement. A bit harsh on Reave in ME3, it's still one of the best primers for biotic detonations, able to prime multiple enemies for biotic detonation regardless of shields, barriers, or armor. Plus it stacks with itself, you can apply multiple reaves on the same target to stack the damage over time, and it can stagger whole groups of unprotected enemies, and goes through Guardian riot shields with the area upgrade.
Armor piercing ammo is the GOAT. Considering I only play soldier, it's my go to special power and I use it 24/7. Concussive shot is the only other power that sees much use with me. In two it's pretty much just a weak grenade but in 3, I go the branch that gives it the properties of my ammo power, making armor basically a non-factor for me. Add in that it can detonate combos (which for me is generally just warp then concussive shot), for many enemies it makes them stumble to give you a second to react, and that it can track enemies, and it's easily S tier in my book. It's quite hilarious to have it maxed out in a new game+ and to just use it to kill cannibal after cannibal in the intro of 3, thus infinitely delaying the Normandy's arrival indefinitely. The frag grenade, when used by squadmates, is great fun as it basically explodes the moment it's activated and doesn't need them to complete the throwing animation (concussive shot is the same, which has saved me multiple times in 2). This enables you, when the power is fully upgraded on the squadmate and set as the hotkey, to spam 4-6 medium strength blasts on any target instantly. EDIT: 5th rewatch. FINE! I'LL PLAY THE TRILOGY AGAIN AS A DIFFERENT CLASS FOR ONCE!
Just got past Kasumi's loyalty mission, first time running insanity on the triliogy and im doing it as an engineer and I regret every decision I've made. But thank u. This channel inspkred me to go down this route and even if its painful its an experience worth go through deaths for. 🖍
Flare used while under the effect of tactical cloak bypasses its long cool down, adds to its damage and basically makes everything a joke on insanity. I'm sad this got missed.
There’s all sorts of fun things you can do with tactical cloak, and yeah I’ve had tons of fun using flare with it. I like playing a shotgun infiltrator with fortification always purged and the melee synergy and damage upgrades. Cloaking right up to ravagers and one shotting them with heavy melee is really fun.
32:15 ive recenrly been doing me3 on insanity as engineer. Between the turret sabotage and bonus dominate as well as picking up the typhoon early things just melt. Some of the most fun I've had. Set up the turret jack an enemy then watch chaos reign
Honestly, I've been playing ME for years, but because of these videos. I had the earge to finally get ME:LE on Steam so I can play a modded trilogy for the first time
Also if you want to be really funny in ME2 with grenades, since they are infinite in 2 you can take Zaeed and Kasumi, take either's grenade as a bonus power and infinitely stun every enemy except for bosses and turrets. Especially if you level them to level 4. It gets really funny and is viable on any class even on insanity. (don't tell Joe)
Hey now, Ive been giving Liara a few attempts in my current ME3 playthrough and you're all ranking Statis WAY too low in it. Its true it doesnt work on armored enemies, but it works on enemies that only have a shield or only have a barrier. Which means anytime you have to deal with cerberus Nemesis enemies or those f*cking Phantoms, you just drop a stasis on them and they're rendered completely useless. It might be situational, but anytime you have to deal with Cerberus enemies, Statis is a must have if your class is on the squishy side (adept, engineer). It offers so much extra protection, and for the phantoms alone it's a must have, considering how fast those assholes close the distance between them and you
after playing ME2 on insanity, I have to respectfully disagree with Combat Drone being a C-tier ability. Summoning it on a boss, seemingly any boss, summons it behind them, allowing you to get several free shots in, or allowing yourself a safer relocation. On top of that, the upgrade with attacks that hit through all forms of shields with stagger enemies over and over, or the explosion upgrade will allow for an added chunk of damage. On top of that, the cooldown is about 2 seconds. During fights with Harbinger, Tela Vasir, any of the tougher Collector enemies, or any groups of enemies approaching you quickly, the drone will always buy you time or free damage. While not S-tier, I'd put it in A-tier (or high B tier). The drone adds a lot of survivability to engineers, not to mention a lot of extra fun.
I legit started another playthrough because of your videos man. Such a good series
Saaaame!
I did this back when they started ME1. I finished the trilogy several weeks ago lol.

I would love to see president talk about mass effect andromeda powers and characters?
WHAT!!??? Stasis works on the Human Reaper!!??!? How did I not know this!??!?
I will not apologize for playing on normal no matter how many AI Presidents tell me to play on insanity.
Hell yeah brother, playing on normal is *normal*
@@steelbear2063 i dunno me3 is too easy in normal, but above that one is a fucking pain in thr ass, shitelds simply dont work
You should do it at least once. Twice if you played both og trilogy and legendary edition. Just to 100% the game
Insanity feels like normal with a good build.
Damn, you're missing out
Using the LE2 randomizer for powers is pretty fun.
best mass effect videos on youtube hands down
I'd love to see a ME3 Multiplayer tier list might make nice for a long video.
I'm guessing next will be multiplayer characters tier lists? Whatever it is keep em coming. Love the vids as always
Thanks for another video, dude! I love your talent!
Unironically started playing Mass Effect again because of this you absolute animal
I'm having a go at trying to beat Mass Effect on Insanity difficulty for the first time, Thanks to your video's, keep up the good work 👏
just noticed you switched the icons between ME3's cryo and incendiary ammo when moving it on the list :)
Great content as always.
Absolutely love this. Video idea: Mass Effect 2 weapons tier list.
Makes me smile everytime
Could you do a tierlist of armor, weapons and upgrades in ME1? It would help a lot of new and returning players to streamline their inventory.
It offers so much extra protection, and for the phantoms alone it's a must have, considering how fast those assholes close the distance between them and you
Vanguard main and I see how you’re Charging & Nova-ing away from that trash assessment of the N7 Piranha jk
Great work as always!
after playing ME2 on insanity, I have to respectfully disagree with Combat Drone being a C-tier ability.
I literally just bought the legendary edition because of these videos and it was worth it, thanks! God bless ✝️
How do I explain to people that I watch this amazing content
Infiltrator main here just to make you aware i had my viper pointed at you just in case you didn't put cloak in S tier. You made the right choice.
I wish this covered the multiplayer powers
Hell yeah! I was waiting for this!
