The first time you do this meditation, you may be confused, because you will be asked to imagine 2 different scenarios, one embedded in the other. So she prepares you by saying she will ask you to imagine a peaceful outdoor scene from your past, but first she has you imagine you're floating on a raft. The raft thing is separate from your peaceful outdoor memory. I didn't realize that, so for a few minutes, I was struggling to reverse-engineer a body of water into the vacation memory I had chosen!
That said, this was an intense imaginative recreation of my favorite vacation, to the point where I think I will play this video anytime I'm wanting a vacation - I can experience all the pleasant sensations in my mind without the hassle of actually traveling!
One minor pet peeve: I'm slightly water-phobic, so I don't like that so many guided meditations use water imagery to induce relaxation. Even if I didn't fear drowning, there are so many viscerally unpleasant aspects to being in water or on beaches: sounds of screaming kids, smells of dead fish or chlorine, all the germs and parasites and irritants your entire body is submerged in, that damned pop top Jimmy cut his heel on....
