Always was a scrub pvp player but enjoy the risk vs reward system, slow grinding my way through an aspect, doing my codex, got a couple of links, got a couple of rares for my rental apartment. This game isn't for everyone but its certainly for me.
With the mass amount of stuff you can do on Outlands, the limits are only set by the individual. In addition to your topics; scavenging is fun as well as reaching achievements, participating in all the stuff for guilds, etc. As a side note, I just realized the chanting in the front and back of your videos are your channel name and spell words. Great touch. :)
The grind to progress is huge but it doesn’t have to be all done in a set amount of time. Which I enjoy I can farm mobs for 10 hrs a day or not. Doesn’t really affect anything. The biggest hurdle for most new players I see come through is there are no direct instructions. No automated quest system no direction. UO is brilliant in that regard it’s why I play UO to this day. I can do whatever whenever and with whoever. No gate keeping or locked areas. Plenty to do if you’re creative and friendly.
I got you. Out of the things you didn't have time to mention there's also Strangelands, pit trials, trade caravans, board games, and fishing (which is unique enough to deserve its own mention outside of other gathering skills). Edit: Almost forgot plant growing and breeding as well (or just finding pets with good stats to tame for that matter).
I highly suggest the RP community for any who are interested. I use to come back to Outlands for a few weeks to a month in spurts. Since joining the UO outlands RP community I've been playing for 5 months straight and have never been having more fun.

It's funny, one of the reasons I don't like to play sometimes is because there's just too much stuff. LOL - It's crazy this game is untouchable. There could not ever possibly be another game so rich with content.
MMOs these days all about farming anyways. But as you clearly described there are tons of things to do in Outlands. Only thing I am bit complaning is about balancing issues both in pvp and pve these days. I just dont like the ”build of the year” approach and a bit forcing people to Meta skill sets. But, we all love this server.
About the community, on Discord main channel I mentioned a few months ago that I am very irritated by the red hand mechanic, where a thief robs someone, I spot him . He turn grey for me, and when I attack the thief, the guards won't help me, and the thief can freely kill me in the middle if the town and loot my body. Disgusting and heavily abused. Anyways, when I mentioned that on the discord, Owen almighty himself (main dev) replied that this game is probably not for me. I agreed. F it.
They're describing every game when they make those comments. It's just that they dont notice it in a game that has an ending. It means you have to rethink why you play games in the first place, for the experience, ACTUAL experience, not XP.
I dunno man. Over the years ive had an interest in trying outlands out but my impression of it is that it's a shard that emphasizes ganking, and griefing and this video didn't change my mind about it. @@PwnstarrGaming I want to. But modern gaming has made me soft like warm butter. And I no longer have the patience for losing hours of progress to ganking. I've seen in other videos you've posted that at least there's a safe dungeon every week. That might be alright.

Meanwhile on Outlands newbies get moongate ganked by the discord PVP cartel just to make their lives harder, and the grind is 10x worse than classic UO was because now there's aspect/codex grinding to artificially pad the gameplay for no real reason. Oh and the cash shop lol, one of the most disgusting things in any MMORPG regardless of genre. UO was always a game about living and playing with friends in a world.
