I saw the Anna Kendrick Cup Song as a UA-cam short a while back, and it so intrigued me that I had to watch the 'Pitch Perfect' movie, which I actually didn't care for all that much since I'm at least two generations removed from finding movies like that worthwhile, but that Kendrick moment there on the stage made it all worth while.
Probably the best vocal from an impromptu cold start I have ever heard.
Don't forget to add while standing on foot and doing dishes that you ever heard.

To the editor of these videos: You're archiving a show. Stop cutting out the audience reactions. The Cups song finished flatter than the broadcast because you completely cut out the audiences reaction. You're on UA-cam. We love reactions! You aren't going to get more people watching videos by making them shorter.
Agree, was really looking forward to the audience reaction after that. 'Saving' 5 seconds by cutting it out is bad editing by just plain editing in general.
@@scottyrill1257 I wish they’d just send me every episode and I’d edit them all for them. Give me that job. I was obsessed with Letterman my whole life. Letterman got me through some hard nights when I was alone a lot. I’d love to be given a fair living for archiving the greatest career in late night. It deserves more than just being pushed online. These highlight moments are good, don’t get me wrong. But every episode and every moment of it should be restored and archived by someone who cares about it.
Seriously! The audience erupting after that performance is what makes it great. I love seeing these clips but man oh man keep them intact.

As a teenager, I watched Dave for the comedy bits, but looking back on all of these old clips has caused me to realize what a skilled interviewer he is too.

@@bluchu22 Jimmy Fallon is the worst... ALWAYS interrupting, repeating what the guest said... horrible. But, yes, here... Dave cut her 1st visit, green room story a little short, and he was often on to his next thought as soon as she finished talking, meaning he wasn't focused on what she said.
Why did you cut out the crowd applause after her performance of it? That's where all the good energy to reciprocate her performance is at?

How do you know you weren’t in that dream every day? It’s hard to tell when you’re in someone else’s dream. Just because she didn’t tell you doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen all the time.

I feel for Anna. She has so much talent, yet she struggles so much with self confidence. Her book is called "Scrappy Little Nobody," which is just one more self criticism. It can pile up. She might not think she's amazing, but I certainly do.
She didn't look healthy here either, which makes you wonder if she was struggling with an eating disorder as well. I hope that's not the case, but if you combine the constant self deprecation and, her appearance in this clip, and the way Hollywood treats women, it wouldn't shock me.
It wasn't just because she was so thin. I know she's fair skinned, but she looked especially pale here. Maybe it was just nerves. If that was a problem, I hope she has gotten better.
I actually know someone totally not famous who looks and acts extremely similar to Anna, and she told me she had been anorexic.
I'm not going to say anyone is too fat or too thin, but I do know this is a common problem, and I hope she's healthy.

Nervousness/nervous tick is more probable.
Even, dry skin from the strong A/C is more probable. That studio was known for being really cold the way Dave liked it, but guests didn't.
