Hi, Just putting an heart here ❤ I've listened many videos about retinol and how it works but never really got it.... Now yours and BOOM the first minutes were everything. I finally got it, thank you so much very informative. Kiss from south of France. Sarah
I will definitely try this. I'm currently using the .2 from Medik8 and it is pretty freaking expensive. I use it daily face and neck with no irritation. I do use other actives with it and have no issues. I prefer Naturium's formulation, but needed the stronger percentage since I am using retinaldehyde to "walk" myself up to using Altreno.
Im absolutely going to try it! I have used the Naturium .1% and the Maelove but am looking to step up to something stronger. My Doctor wont prescribe me Tretnoin so this will be the strongest we can get here in Canada I believe.
Oh really? I would also like to know why your dermatologist won't prescribe you Tretinoin? I was told some derms want to hear a good reason why someone wants to go on it before prescribing it.
Good to start small so 1. You can try it without spending too much and 2. You will likely use less from a smaller container which is important when starting off. Also if you are starting so slowly, it may go bad before you're done if it was a full ounce. You can get two when you reorder. Im glad they are starting small.
I’m SOOO EXCITED Ashley!!! I’m 66 and have used Tretinion for many years and just the last year my skin can’t tolerate even the lowest dosage😮. I’ve been so sad about this bc it’s done wonders for my skin over the years! This came at the neck of time LOL! Thanks so much you made my day❤
Aw I am sad to hear that.. Maybe you need to take a little break from Tretinoin and try again down the road and see what happens. Let me know how you like the Retinal once you try it🥰
Geek and Gorgeous have 2 good ones at 30ml. I’m sorry but 15ml isn’t enough and will work out expensive in the long run, having to constantly reordering it …
i use the g+g too. but they only have 0,05% and 0,1%. i wonder if this is an EU regulation, that it is capped and on what % the TO retinal will be (if?) availabe in EU ....?
thx, didnt know... but i wont buy it, there are cheaper alternatives that also do their work. (imagine saying this about a TO product LOL times change...)
The Ordinary is unable to sell their Granactive Retinoids 2% Emulsion in Canada. I was able to pick up a bottle in the UK. Any idea how this new product might compare?
I believe this product is going to be stronger than their Granactive Retinoid and Retinol. They stated this is going to be their strongest Retinoid, so if you are looking for something with more of a punch, I would try this once it's released.
In what way? BOJ Retinal eye cream is 10 times weaker (0.02% BOJ vs 0.2%TO) so it might be better if someone wants a really , really weak preparation. The preparation from The Ordinary is the strongest strength available on the market and matches the strength of one from Medik8. I currently use G&G 0.1% but they do not offer a 0.2% so I have ordered 2 vials from TO to alternate with the G&G. I don't know that G&G is a better option yet unless I am unable to tolerate the stronger 0.2% TO and have to continue on the 0.1% G&G. Pricewise they are comperable for me in the US.
I use the G&G 0.1% Retinal and by the time I pay the shipping from Europe to the US, it's about $ 30/bottle. I just ordered 2 of the 15 cc bottles of The Ordinary 0.2%Retinal several days ago and there are no shipping charges in the US so on a milliliter to milliliter comparison, it is cheaper for the US customer to buy the new high strength product from TO compared to G&G. I'm sure that is true price wise for Maelove & Avene. There is no comparison between this new Retinal prep from TO and the BOJ eye product which is 10 times weaker (0.02% compared to 0.2%)
Tretinoin is stronger than this product so there is no need to purchase this unless you want to apply it to your neck and chest or something that is more gentle for the face compared to Tretinoin. I can't use Tret on my neck and chest so I would like to see how this works👍🏻
I was going to order it, but then I saw the volume 😮 and now I’m not sure! As I use retinal on my face, neck, chest and hands, I’m going to fly through 15 ml very fast. I use lots of Koreans skincare, and their eye cream is 30 ml, serums - 50, sometimes 100 ml, so 15 ml seems like a tester to me 😅 anyways thanks for breaking the news and I’m going to wait for your review of the product 😊 have a great day!
🤯🤯🤯 OH WOW YAY!!! They did it!! This is so huge for sensitive skin, necks, chests, hands...people who cant get prescription Tretinoin ERHMAHGERD so exciting! I used avenes retinaldehyde for years before getting on Tret and would have loved to keep using it for my neck and chest but couldn't justify the price on the Avene! This...I'll be slathering down to my nips lol They're going to need to offer this in a bigger size with a pump bottle 😂Thanks Ash!!!! ❤🎉
Thank you so much for your videos!! I heard you emphasize applying retinol products in all of their forms to DRY skin. Can you explain how to incorporate other serums and in what order so that tretinoin or retinal is being applied to dry skin? I normally do this step last and often sandwich between 2 forms of moisturizers. But would like to experiment with applying to dry skin as I have been extra dry lately. THANK YOU ; ))
Thanks so much for this video, I will try this but, it will not be a repurchase because of the 15mL I will also try Maelove also, my neck and chest areas are the most sensitive parts for me these days Have a great day! Hugs
Hi Ms Ash and thank you for another great video. Do you happen to have or know of a link to purchase an organizer for all of the small bottles so they don’t tip over when using them or storing them.
Got a good news for you. I know you really like the Dr Dennis Gross mineral sunscreen spf 30. Today I went directly on their website and they just released a new mineral sunscreen but spf 50. It's a 18% zinc oxide and it looks amazing. Idk if it is available to Sephora but hope you will try it and enjoy it like the spf 30 one. Thanks 🥰🥰
Oh NO WAY really? It's definitely not available on Sephora Canada (yet) but hopefully soon! It took a long time for their SPF 30 to be released here in Canada so I am hoping it doesn't take that long with this one! If you try it, you will have to let me know how you like it.. I am going to see if I can get my hands on it 🥰 THANK YOU for letting me know💗
🌸🌸🌸Very exciting and can’t wait to try it! Different question, Have you tried The INKEY List Bio-Active Ceramide Repairing and Plumping Moisturizer + Barrier Strengthening? Just wondering your thoughts 🌸🌸🌸
@@SincerelyMissAsh no! I just saw it the other day and it intrigued me but I had to get your opinion first 😄 ! Oh! By the way, I’m looking for a drugstore mild physical exfoliator…. Any thoughts??
Hmmm... It would depend on what kind of scar and how deep the scar is. I suppose you could try this and see. A dermatologist would know best on what could be used for the type of scar you have.
This is exciting. 0.2 % retinaldehyde is very powerful and at $15 is a bargain compared to Avene 0.1 % at $78, which is double the volume but half the strength. $30 for an oz from a reputable company is really something. Retinals are hard to formulate. There are less expensive retinals but not a better value than TO it seems. I will definitely be looking into this especially during the warmer weather when I want a gentler formula to tretinoin.
@@jake9854I’m not using retinal. I referenced Avene bc it’s the one recommended by Derms. but seeing as Naturium has been acquired by ELF, I’ll be paying more attention. I prefer companies that have huge R & D budgets for actives like retinoids and sunscreen.
@@jake9854 I’m not using retinal. I use tret currently. And when it comes to formulations for sunscreens and retinoids, I prefer companies w large R&D budgets. Also Avene is THE retinal recommended by derms bc that product has been around for about 20 years.
