    Your videos are very nice, thank you for sharing such videos with us. I had a question about the mosfet. I have a tpca8064 mosfet and it was short-circuited. I installed an mdu2657 mosfet instead of a high mosfet in the CPU core section of this mosfet, but every time this mosfet falls into a short circuit. Due to the situation you explained in the video, it is short-circuited. Is this short circuit situation related to the power of the MOSFET? Thank you...

    • @philiptroniks
      @philiptroniks  28 днів тому

      According to datasheet MDU2657 MOSFET can handle more current than TPCA8064. If it is shorting repeatedly, then it is being forced to draw more current. Check core IC requirements...

      @@philiptroniks One side of the mosfet is the 19v line, the other side is the ground, and the 4 legs are the gate line. I removed the CPU core IC because the CPU core IC was connected to the 4 legs, I put a new mosfet in again, the adapter light went out and it showed a short circuit. I measured all the elements on the 19 volt side, there was no short circuit, only some capacitors. The value is slightly low compared to its value. Motherboard model is DA0HK9MB6D0 rev D short-circuiting mosfet PQ38. Thank you...

      @@ibrahimak6374 Do not give power without a regulator in that particular section, because without regulator there won't be any control for the MOSFETs, if you give power then MOSFETs will be shorted.

      I know that, my friend, the mosfet fell into a short circuit while the regulator was plugged in. The regulator is already defective, the CPU core signal does not come out, all the regulator's internal voltages are present. 19V, 5V, VR_ON signals are present. Isl95837 regulator. I will change the regulator, but I could not solve the short circuit of the mosfet. 3 Mosfets are short circuited like this. It fell. Currently, when I read the value when the MOSFET is not plugged in, I do not get a short circuit from the coils. I could not solve the problem. Since there is someone from you who knows, I thought I would ask for advice. Should the signal from the regulator to the gates be 5V? At first, I was getting 4.5 volts before the MOSFET was short-circuited. Thank you for your answers.

      @@ibrahimak6374 Please do change the regulator 1st if it is defective and try to place the same model of upper and lower mosfet. Next time try to lift one side of coil of the particular section you are refering to and give power. See whether the mosfet is staying still from being shorted. What is the ohms value at the coil before the mosfet is shorted?

    hey, why at 36:24 was there no 25v, and when you put back the big mosfet, there was?

    • @philiptroniks
      @philiptroniks  23 дні тому +1

      Great question. Let me clarify. The charger IC gives gate drive for the mosfet from CMSRC (the source of 1st mosfet) by adding extra 6 volts through internal charge pump as 24V, that you saw after placing the mosfet. Charger IC recieves CMSRC only if there is a 1st mosfet. If no 1st mosfet there won't be CMSRC then charger IC will send only the extra 6 volt but not CMSRC. That's what we saw 4.5v approx without mosfet. After placing 1st mosfet CMSRC(19v) will be there then full 24v with 6volt added from internal charge pump from charger IC will be there. Please refer to this schematic for more understanding LA-K033P

    hello bro,, how about on the 1st mosfet which model can you recommend for casual and gaming Laptop,,
    thanks,,
    im gonna order the 7410B in stock for future needs for 2nd fet

    • @philiptroniks
      @philiptroniks  23 дні тому

      Actually there is no standard mosfets for all laptop. And I recommend you to replace the same part number for gaming laptops with high end graphics. Mostly cpu, gpu, dcin mosfet, etc.. Because they are dealing with high current.
      AON7410 is standard for normal laptop with normal graphics even. You can place it anywhere like vin, charging, stdby...
      Regarding 1st MOSFET if it is a N-channel, you can replace from any CPU core voltage regulator section, it will be working fine.
      Hope I clarified you.

      @philiptroniks i have samsung np300 laptop with original charger with voltae reading 19.4v i get intermittent power on and its also turning off suddenly after it gets turns off with stock charger 19.4v the vdc is getting low. and the laptop needs to be rest to turn On again,
      but when i used my Dc bench set exactly at 19v or 18.7 below the laptop gets power with no problem no shutting down..
      maybe you have idea.

      @@zeefixhubI think your motherboard has BQ24735 (U508) charger IC. Connect your laptop charger and check voltage on pin no. 06 of the charger IC you should get between 2.4 -3.15. Normally 2.6V. This is adapter detect pin of charger IC if it is below 2.4v charger IC will recognise as an under voltage and if it is above 3.15v it will recognize as overvoltage and on both cases it will cut down Charger voltage into the board. I think in your case the board is turning off at 19.4v but working at 19v implies that charger IC is recognizing 19.4v as over voltage because of the incorrect input at pin no.6 AC DET.
      Please check and update.

      @philiptroniks  17 днів тому

      @@zeefixhub This is the problem try to set voltage at 19v the AC DET should decrease below 3v somewhere like 2.5 or 2.6. Then your board will work fine. The problem is the resistor divider needs to be changed to give approx 2.6v at AC DET so that you can use your adapater.

      With diode meter, placing the negative probe on CSR and positive probe on each coils we can check the condition of each upper MOSFET of the particular inductor easily.
