Honestly wouldn't surprise me, they've got a terrible reputation for shit like that among content creators.

I've read that article, and there was an issue of having some unreasonably higher standards for queer celebrities, but I don't see how was it supposed to be "bi-erasure" and biphobic.
It tries to put Halsey's sexuality in check by pointing out how many guys she wrote about and hangs out with, questions her femininity... bisexual people constantly have to prove they're bisexual while ppl from other sexuality don't. That's biphobic.

I think it's so important that you made this video. I feel like it's so important to accent that Buzzfeed is a COMPANY. At the end of the day, that's what they really are and people forget that. Your Disney comparison also is so true, knowing so many people who have worked and currently work at Disney Animation and also Disneyland. It's not necessarily terrible, but it's definintely not what people think it is. That's life and to think Buzzfeed is any different is foolish.

I cant wait for the day that Buzzfeed goes down the drain. Yes, ill be sad about all the people who are losing their jobs but you can all do much better than Buzzfeed. Its pretty obvious that over the past year the content quality has plummeted and after watching these types of videos, its obvious why. There's no more passion in the company and its production, just purely based off of profit the videos get. I know for a fact that it will never change, which will only result in the Buzzfeed channels to slowly die.

"When you are pressured into doing something you love, it makes love it less" This is very true, I used to love science, read books about it, wanted to be a marine biologist, but when I got into middle school where you are pressured into learning things you don't want to learn and investigate on things you dont care about cause if you don't you are gonna fail in life, and when I got all this in biology class, I stopped reading biology books and just didn't care about it anymore xD I don't wanna be a biologist anymore ofc.
There's a difference between a pushy, shitty boss that doesn't care about anything but the bottom line, and having work that needs to be done. Middle and highschool science usually has almost nothing to do with how science is actually done - what you may be missing is that when you become a scientist, you're the one doing research. You're the one making the judgements. Everything you've learned is only the foundations for having to learn and synthesize information from other sources you've never heard of, every single day. It's a huge thing, what we've collected about _any single field_ of science couldn't possibly be condensed into textbook form, and it's your job to put together tests from papers, data-sets, and interviews to advance our understanding.
It's a tremendous amount of responsibility, sure, but the work you'd be doing would help others understand the world in the ways _they_ want.

I used to really love Buzzfeed. I would love taking their quizzes, I would enjoy their lists with the gifs on their website, I would love their videos describing life with glasses/big boobs/messy hair/sensitive skin/etc. Light-hearted stuff that anyone could enjoy. Ever since the huge "breakout" of SJW-ism and something I like to call "The Great Divide" wherein blacks started hating whites, LGBT+ group vs. straight people, etc. etc., Buzzfeed has become its own monster, choosing to side heavily left and push narratives that specifically targeted whomever they thought were proverbial "boogeymen". I wish in a way that Buzzfeed would go back to how they were before this whole social mess started.

Also, of all these post-Buzzfeed life videos, I like yours the best. It's personal but it doesn't reek of bias and remains objective. I like that you point out what you didn't like but also offer the other side of things and understand that Buzzfeed is a company, and companies need to make money (which goes over so many people's heads). I used to enjoy buzz feed when they had cool little videos, like short recipes, useless hacks that you wont ever use but you are like "huh, my life would be easier now", funny stuff, cute pets stuff, etc.. my favorites where the ones of "ppl try (insert country)'s food/candies".
But lattely, they have become...put in 2016's words: SJW (social justice warriors); and bc of that, you just can take them seriously anymore, they try to adress problems concerning gender, race and equality, but they dont realize that their public is not completely American, and that some of their views and the things they consider as "BIG PROBLEMS THAT NEEDS TO BE SOLVED!!11" are more like "first world problems" to many viewers. (e.g the infamous manspreading video)
Also, you are practically mocking your viewers if you plan to make opinions about such sensitive topics, in such a light way, it feels like a joke to follow a chanel that posts stupid videos like "1$ vs 99999$ sandwich, which one taste better" and then followed by a seriously important video like "My traumatic experience with racism" both posted the same day. It feels like you are making the serious videos to gain symphaty of your viewers and bc of that to gain as much money as the sandwich one. I, personally, cant take them seriously anymore.
And finally, they are so hypocritical, they praise equality, and post videos about equality, but as Steph said, some workers with the same position as her, had less freedom than her, that is not just unequal, but also very little proffetional.

Oh and then there's the fact that even if they built their channel in a way where there wasn't a silly video and then a so called serious video, their "serious" videos are full of bullshit things that they label as fact. (Manspreading is 1st world btw that's why people see it like that.)

I admire Buzzfeed for having a message of progression but behind the cameras it's more sinister. Something didn't sit right with me waaay back when Brittany got fired. I pushed it off as a one time contract issue, but this video confirms that Buzzfeed basically uses everyone.

Well, for legal reasons thats what you say, but come on, you basically just said they're a soulless hollow shell of a company that pumps out quantity for "viral hits" instead of quality content.
And don't give me that "its a company so is okay" bullshit. Take roosterteeth for example, a very similar company but they have such a great work morale and care more about their content than buzzfeed ever would.

Buzzfeed makes incredible short films, but the filler content is pretty bad. It's hard to support a company who treats there employees this way
