Not only does this look amazing, it's the only recipe for raindrop cake I've tried that actually WORKS.
:)
Does it taste good?
+How To Cook That you so beautiful
thank you +Hanun Alifa Alifa :)
Show us how to make Methamphetamine next!
I’m going to be honest, when I saw the thumbnail I genuinely thought that they were real flowers. You are absolutely amazing
Same. I imagined she'd put a flower in the gelatin before it was hardened, but that would've made it unpleasant to eat... lol.
Same
"It tasted like a cloud with icecream on top of it..."
Children always have the perfect way to describe things that us adults are no longer capable of describing! 🥰
My my.. everytime i see that talent i look in the mirror and i think to myself: "only if you could boil some eggs"
Haha 😂
Carlos Lopes just that cooking isn’t a talent but I feel you.
Dont give up trying!
Your pfp just adds so much to this
Don't be so hard on yourself, you can get much better at cooking with practice and studying different techniques. Also, there are hundreds of types of "talents" in life, and I'm sure you have something that Ann sucks at. Everyone has something special, maybe you just haven't found yours yet, but it's there
I've seen so Many other Cooking Channels,But this is so far the BEST! You're so Talented with your amazing work. You have Brilliant Ideas That I couldn't Even Imagine. This is such a great video.Your the only cooking UA-camr that made me drool over their Food(lol).Keep up the great work!👌👑❤
OMG copycat
Squiddie Da Squid she pinned the work
Squiddie Da Squid what??
you are so corene
adelaayah vanosten corny?
I think this is so pretty!
I love how easy you make it look.
:)
I think that the leaves you were asking about are called sepals.
Yes they are.
Fun fact, the "petals" of daffodils are actually sepals. The trumpet is the only petal.
I learned at school
you are honestly incredible Ann. my mind was blown when I saw how you made the pedals 😂
thanks so much Michele :)
+How To Cook That you are very welcome😂
I bet Corinne would have wished she saw this before she did her pin
That's what I was thinking!!!
yeah!!!
I was thinking this
Lmao IKR
Yeah!
I could listen to a 1 hour loop of just you saying "little petols".
for the first time something i watched unblvablly awesome.
Does it actually taste good, or is it just for the a e s t h e t i c ?
she said the citric acid is for flavor, so i imagine it would taste like orange or lemon jello :3
Citric acid isnt really a flavor, its just a flavor enhancer. If you think about a candy like sour patch kids or other sour gummy candy, theyre coated in this "sour sugar." This sugar mix is citric acid mixed with sugar. So in this case it would likely taste like a slightly sour tang
Probably has the texture of jelly
Yes
nah just aesthetic. very pretty though not what i would like for a dessert. and to the person above saying it's a basic taste since it's a low calorie dessert, you are 100% wrong. you can make awesome sugar free, low calorie desserts. this on the other hand, is just glorified jello.
Why are they called cake wheh there is nothing cakey about them? Why not jelly spheres?
Put a cake inside it
@Shovine Bojraj There are a lot more kinds of cakes than just sponge cake with cream!
Cakes come in all shape, sizes and ingredients. 😊
It's mostly cuz of a translation problem. In Japan, where the dessert originated, it's called Mizu-Shingen Mochi, which translates to "water-looking mochi". Because "mochi" doesn't have an exact English translation, the closest word for it is "cake", which led tho this thing being called a raindrop cake.
@@rururinchan6601 Thanks for the explanation! Much appreciated.

That little boy's description of the tube dessert (at the end) just made my week and it's only Monday! Oh and the raindrop was supercool too 😉
Imagine Rob from threadbanger trying this
Kayana Yorudan Corinne from threadbanher actually tried this! :D
+Sainara nope
Someone send thus to Corinne
Both Rob and Corinne tried it, without flowers. But, they used a different recipe, which could be why they both failed.

ann you are so creative and you make the most amazing looking and sounding food. Thank you becuase I still learning how to cook and you help me with finding the most coolest recipes ☺
this looks soo beautiful!!
OMG this is amazing!! Are you the first person who comes up with this idea? I don't know how I miss your first raindrop cake video. A while back, I saw a video clip on FB from an instructor in Vietnam, and she also used syringe, but with different special shape needle attachments. I was in AW with how someone can do that. It was about 15 years ago that my mom learned how to make jello (agar) cake with 3D flowers. It was quite popular back then in Vietnam because it is a lot more artistic than just pouring it into a mold. The task is very tedious because just like shaping fondant, she has to cut each petal and put them together onto a mold and pour clear liquid when each petal is attached so it can be "glue" together. The art is really beautiful, but to complete one cake takes a ton of time. Now the idea of making the flower sink into a cake is just so WOW!! Thanks for sharing it with us.
I don't know who made up the flowers inside a raindrop cake, but clear raindrop cake originated in Japan :)
+Linh Lam Ngo I've seen cakes like this in mexican grossery stores!
Lmao no Ann is a good baker but she did not invent gelatin art or raindrop cake (btw this isn't a raindrop cake)
Wow, amazing work. I thought this was a real flower until I saw the entire video. This is art. Thank you for showing your beautiful talent.
I have seen other videos of how to do this and yours is the one that works!
Dear god that is the COOLEST thing!

Altair chef John!!
Thank you Ann! You are like MichelAngelo, your cakes and sweets are amazing!
Thank you so much Ann. My raindrop Jellocake came out beautifully. I used a 16G needle to create the flower (was easier to push with it)!
This is how I feed my eel

You're so amazing omg what a helpful and informative video. Beautiful!
Wow! Amazing! I have never seen such a creative recipe before!
I honestly can't stand to hear the word raindrop "cake" anymore... Why "cake"??
white people probably. its just mochi i dont get the hype either
+sparkydoodle96 it's not mochi either. It's basically jello
in this recipe i guess so. but the original name is mizu shingen mochi, isnt it?
SAME!!!
White people just translated it wrong. Its called みずしんげんげんもち。Mochi is a glutenous dessert. This type of mochi is traditionally eaten with soybean flour and syrup.
Something Percy Jackson related? Maybe Ambrosia Squares and Nectar or the Lotus Flowers?
YAAAAAAAS!!! YESSSS! PLEASE ANN PLEEEAAAAASE!
Omg yassssssss
Omigosh. YES PLEASE! DO SOMETHING PERCY JACKSON RELATED PLEASE!!!
It must be blue.
This fandom is relying on you Ann
OH MY GOOOD 😭😭 I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS CHANNEL WHEN I WAS 10 AND NOW I FIND IT AGAIN WHILE LOOKING HOW TO MAKE MIZU SHINGEN MOCHI SKJDKD THE MEMORIES 😢💗💗

This is just plain cool, edible or not.
:)
+How To Cook That 😃
+How To Cook That where do you get leaf gelatine ps love you😊😊
+How To Cook That the agar agar is maybe from Malaysia but I don't know do... in Malaysia (I live there: ) ) and it's actually jelly: )
+How To Cook That BTW this video is so awesome!! now I can make with my mom! it's actually one my favorite dessert!!
That's amazing, I thought those were real flowers.
This is something out a magical garden.!
You are so talented and blessed!!! Love that ❤️ you're so passionate about the things you do... great work!!

"Hey mom can we buy a syringe from the supermarket?"
that was way too amazing and complicated for me! Good job!
Ann I have been watching you since you had 100,00 subscribers you are so inspiring thankyou
I dunno what to say! I just watcched the whole video with my mouth open. You're an artist.

+How To Cook That cool
Omg... you're truly a food genius lol ive never seen anyone so talented at baking/creating food.... you're absolutely AMAZING at everything! Filming, editing, cooking, baking... you're Wonder Woman!
I been watching this video a lot and I haven't stop watching this video this video is awesome
Me: *sees thumbnail* oh wow she put a flower in the jelly!
Me: *watches video* OMG she made the flowers!!! 😳 🤩 ❤️ 🌸
thats not a cake, thats just jello. but nice. and using agar will make your sphere completely different texture, ot will be brittle and shitty as hell and cloudy like heaven xD
it's just the term for this dessert :p
She didn't use agar and she recommended using gelatine Instead, even if is jello it is called a raindrop cake
Nia Williams
yeah, but she mention agar, so i just told you guys that results with agar... well its better to not do that with agar xD
It is known as "raindrop cake." She didn't make the term.
The original recipe uses agar though... and the name is a translation error.
花凄すぎ!!!信玄餅たべてみたい!
Those are absolutely amazing!
Why is it called cake? Isn't it more like a jello?
Who knows but raindrop cake sounds much cooler than raindrop jello 😂
+Julianna Felt fair enough! I can't think of a better name, I mean I would call them Jiggle Drops but that's because I'm cheesy.
It's called Mizu Shingen Mochi :3
I would call her recipe jello, because raindrop cakes are made of agar.
As far as I know originally its a japanese recipe and they call it a cake
I've never seen gelatin in sheets before.
the carnation is beautiful! omg i love this idea! im gonna make my mom one!
Oh my, that's gorgeous!
You're so pretty Ann 😍 Luv your vids! I'm a big fan: 3
you're very kind :) Thank you
😮 You replied..... 😘😘😘
+How To Cook That does a raindropcake just taste like sugary water? I just asked it to myself but i don,t know the answer.
the citric acid makes it taste like sprite! :D yum!
I agree they are beautiful, but wouldnt they just taste of..sugary water?
like she said in the video you can add your own clear extracts for your choice of flavour. The citric acid she used will probably give a relatively sharp lemon juice like flavour.

Citric acid gives it a Sprite flavor,
Raindrops cakes are not suppose to taste like anything!
You kinda have to add other flavors to it (sauces, powders etc)
คุณทำเก่งมากกกกเลยคะ
