ThreadBanger when you did it over an air balloon, I literally covered my eyes and held my breath. I thought for sure it would pop and u get scolded. I'm glad it didn't. But, it sure gave me a scare.

@@Chemeleon15 I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Ann is a Dietitian. Pretty much all Dietitians are Nutritionists but not vice versa. Also she's done community service work with youth, so she's an all round awesome woman.

These are super cute though, I absolutely love the little blue one you made that looked like a candy egg stand, perfect for a Easter theme maybe some jelly beans inside. Bethanie Fails I think they let the sugar cool a little. it is possible, but from the sounds of it, not recommended.
They used the giant punching balloons instead of regular balloons.

that's because she invented sugar bowls. the trend is from copying her idea. if it weren't for her, there wouldn't be a sugar bowl trend!
i wanna make them with different flavors :) I love the gold luster dust. it looked like rose gold
the ones with the water balloons are beautiful!!!! I love the one with the base!
I made these, and I made one into a flower, I did this by putting a thin coat of sugar over one side of the small balloon, and then putting a new coat on the edge of it after it had already dried, it took a while and a few attempts to get right (not melt into the previous layers, pop, mix etc) but the end result was beautiful.
I was well concentrated watching the video when the balloon popped.

Can latex allergies have cross contamination between the balloons and the bowls?
Since no one has answered, I'm going to say, when in doubt, assume yes. It's better to assume that there will be cross contamination and not give this to someone with a potential allergy than to assume there isn't cross contamination and potentially send someone to the hospital. I had a similar concern with a cooking project for class way back in high school, wound up buying a separate set of mixing bowls and utensils to avoid contamination from peanuts so one of my classmates could still taste one of my creations.
Good question. It would seem to me, yes, because some people with nut allergies are so sensitive that they can have a reaction if a safe food even comes in contact with the nuts...So, leads me to believe that that would also be the case for other allergens. Best not to chance it.
As great as these look, I am looking for other options because of my latex allergy. Better to be safe.

That absolutely could hurt you. Liquid sugar is etremely hot, and it's also *sticky* so it stays on you and continually burns. That's why she said it was dangerous.
Is it just me or do the mini bowls look like jellyfish? With some candies that look like things like seahorses or dolphins or fish that would be awesome!

I'm sure you have soooo many questions to answer. If you could get to mine that would be great, if not, its ok too. I made mine and it got to 300°f. It seemed fine for 2 minutes. Then all of the sudden, as I was mixing my color, it turned back into sugar looking😱. What in the world did I do? Thank you SOOOOO much for your videos!!! I love the explanations and experiments you do👍🤗
for anyone who has this same question, I THINK what caused this amazing thing to happen was because I may of had some sugar crystals on the sides still. and as I was stirring, I stirred the crystals BACK into the mixture and those crystals caused an IMMEDIATE reaction and made the mixture go BACK into sugar crystals. It was a really amazing thing to see! anyways, thats just my guess. I often read comments to see if there are answers or great tips to my questions so thats why I'm putting this out there, in case anyone else goes through the same thing :)
