I don't think it's about trust, it's just that Max is goofy person they know it's something stupid for a video so they don't bother, but for u I think u never gave them contracts for jokes it's always a serious thing so they want ro know what's it is for and help if they can

It was fear. While the youngest child is always the favourite the oldest is the most scary.

It's actually illegal to "trick" or coerce someone into signing a document that they don't understand. While the contract could simply be nullified due to you not having the legal cognisance to ensure that the signing was done in a legal fashion the overt and obvious deceptive element with the coin implies an intent to deceive and defraud. Using the video and stat decs from the parents a claim could be made, damages woudl be ... interesting to calculate.
Of course the sister could then settle by having you sign an agreement that she is the better sibling, a perfectly legal option.

You are right, but this wasn't the case. They didn't even read what they were signing and that's their problem. If they actually read it and didn't understand it, yes, you would be right but since the law won't protect you from being to careless to sign anything your son gives you to sign... it's your fault.
He could have very easily given them the coin as the technicality that it is ('heres a pound as token fee, contract law is weird') the deception is weird

I'm sibling number 4 of 5 and I have the pleasure of living with and taking care of my parents now that they are older. My father has passed on and I already told my mom my intention of telling everyone once she passes that I was my parents' favorite. No one will be able to refute this because I'm the one here. I already tell people that my father's final words were "Jubal, you are my favorite." No one believes me but then again Galileo was thought to be a liar, too. My mom thinks it's hilarious.

I could never do that with my mother, she's an accountant by trade, you better believe she'll read every line, especialy the small print, and be the first to protest if anything is fishy, It's handy when I have contracts to review though "I'll confer with my accountant and get back to you" has saved me more than once :)

I took a look at the bits of the contract that you can see when he waves it around. I'm impressed his friend seems to have taken the time to actually prepare a realistic contract, complete with a disclaimer on waivers and severability provision.
