How can we switch to colour if we’ve got only 1 ball of yarn in each colour?

this is what im super confused on too, like is she using several balls of yarn of the same color? that seems impossible haha

If you only have 1 ball for each color, you can float the yarn to stitch that you need to change colors , not use a new ball of yarn, but there might be floating yarn on the whole back, or if you have a big ball, you can make it into few small balls, so you can change colors often, and the back of the project will be looking better❤.
