Would you ride in a car without a driver and put your trust in AI?
No. I would be in the fetal position praying for mercy!!! But in all reality, it appears China is at least 10 years ahead of us in UK.
Yes. I'd just continue reading whatever......but hope that driverless taxis will do away with the car controls and focus on creature comforts including a table and pre ordered breakfast...great for private-ish meetings with a mini bar....or pick up from trainstation😊❤😊 and go for drive up country.
Thank you for sharing the real China with us. We have had enough of Western lies.
I haven’t had the opportunity in the US. 🤔
Of course I will ride in a driver less vehicle
All my kids planning to visit China starting from next year. They start saving money for the trip.
Compared with developed countries, China's prices are very low, 30 US dollars can have a very good hotel, 2 US dollars a bowl of noodles, taxi 0.4 US dollars/km, subway 0.5 US dollars, scenic tickets are usually 5-30 US dollars
Be sure to learn how to use mobile payment. If you come, it is best to rent a translation machine, which is very cheap and very useful.
@@niu-ge u not getting no good hotel with 30$ atleast 60$ china is expensive now not cheap as u think
How much is a hotel in developed countries?
Driverless taxis is great. It means it unlikely you be rip off by taxi drivers who takes unnecessary detours. The driverless taxis will not work in the UK due to unscrupulous people stealing the taxis and selling them on ebay.
In UK, they may take the LED screen with them before getting off the taxi.
@@hengongchua6250 In Liverpool they would take the wheels first.
No, I believe every country will have driverless taxis except those unruly citizen of that country will have a tough interior armor, just like inside a prison, in order to reduce economic business losses to the company.
Not only rip off, but also it won't get road rage in any condition. You also don't have to worry about it's driving under impact with alcohol or drugs. It's also won't be to tired either
Think the cameras are designed to prevent such scenario and the car will be locked when people try to damage the car
China have millions of technological engineers working to better the world. 👍
Bullshit. Period...If that is what you believe then you are slow to realize the truth.
No to get noodles for pennies 😅
@@MoesKeckeEcke Jealous much 😂
This is first time I see a driverless taxi actually without an assistant driver sitting beside.
Waymo and Cruise have operated robotaxis in the US without safety operators since 2020.
waymo be like
@@tluangasailo3663 The cost of a Waymo car is $300,000, and the cost of this Carrot car is $40,000.
This is amazing and very futuristic. Good jobs China!
It handled different scenarios very well. 😮
Indeed it did.
Technology for the good of the people
Thanks a lot Barrett, this kind of content is great, I watch till the end, more please
29 yuan is like $4 us dollars for a ~ 30mins+30kms taxi trip thats wow!
China is just another thing😮
I'd have more confidence in this than a driver who is playing on their mobile phone.
I completely agree, and I see a lot of drivers using their phones here in China.
second this
this is what happens when a government is investing on the improvement of its people and society, not on wars and overturning foreign governments
Yeah and if it gives zero for your life.. you should not ever trust propaganda, do we know how many crashes this had before? It is limited to only one town which could be done in the west too 😮
Do you know that no one's is driving this like da drone from somewhere else?
I agree with you that Russia should stop trying to overturn the democratic governments of its neighbors.
@@MoesKeckeEcke I find your comment rather funny and yet very sad. If driverless taxi is propaganda, then don't worry about it, But just remember, when there is a time after x number of years the driverless technology is introduced to your town, please don't use it, because ITS ALL CHINESE PROPAGANDA. Silly people think silly things, but the wheel of history keeps turning, remember that.

I'll try this next time I'm in China.
welcome to China
Thank you so much
I'm excited to try this in Wuhan later this year. Great video Lee!
Thanks, I was really impressed, will use in the future if available..We now have some in Shenzhen too..
welcome to future
Welcome to WuHan, China! It will definitely blow your mind and broaden your horizon, it's really well-worth a visit!
Not a good news for Uber. This thing works tirelessly as long it's charged properly.
Lee, it’s truly incredible, but I’m not sure I’d be brave enough to try it. I do agree though that it’s probably safer than a human driver who may be distracted, etc.
❤️
Take it easy. You are probably not brave enough to try it this year. But you perhaps have more confidence about trying this next year. After three years, when driverless taxis are so popular in the society, you probably open your arm to hug the mature technology.
China future in the world 🌎
Amazing just amazing
👏👏Amazing 👍
Thanks for sharing.
Each day, in every possible way, China is contributing to building a better world.
Wow! Technology is fantastic! I want to try it when I get there.
I live here.Until now I haven't dared to try it😅.Electric vehicle with autonomous driving,really safe ……
Amazing😮
Driverless car is more reliable than driver's car indeed 😊
do you know? Self-driving smart cars do not smoke, drink, take drugs, or get tired, so they are safer than human-driven cars.
Is this a co-creation with Baidu? Awesome stuff!
I saw one in Qianhai, Shenzhen recently. I wasn’t quite sure if it was one, now I see it is the same. 😊
yes
The taxi is tried to be put in some cities in China,if these taxes Passed tests In this city,The driverless cars will be put in other cities in China.❤
I’m glad I’m not the only one with audio problems. Very difficult for UA-cam creators because you don’t want to do the whole thing over again.
The UA-camr only tests the technology in suburban areas where there are fewer people and vehicles, whereas the operational scope of Wuhan's self-driving taxis has now expanded to cover most of the city's urban districts.
very cool
Amazing
I m speechless 😲😲
Sweeeet
A great snap shot of how all of our futures will be changed with these sorts of technologies. And it will be interesting to see how widespread these are adopted in the west as China seems to be at the forefront of many of these technologies
You also need the people who have brains developed enough to make good use of such advanced technologies. If this driverless taxi operated in India our low IQ masses will try to steal things from it and some may even try to steal the whole taxi. So both advanced tech and advanced citizenry work in sync to make advanced country.
The next big wave is "low altitude flying economy." That is something I have always wanted to see. All the movies about future have low flying cars and flying delivery services. I want to see that a reality in China. Not some test runs but full booming economic model.
I think they are amazing I wish we could have driverless cars in the uk
If thera are road rage they will yell at the car haha
very good luobu car
Cool ride
welcome to future and welcome to China
❤❤❤
want to try!
Maybe they will ask you to do some programming for some taxis Lee what with your impeccable driving record ? 😂😂All the best your favorite cousin 😉
Within 10 years, humans driving on roads will feel like humbly walking through a factory of precious robots
great
This is very impressive
The pessimist owns the day. The optimist the future
Taxis drivers are more dangerous than computers. When a human sees a green light, they will accelerate
exactly
You're wrong. In my country here, the driver will accelerate when lights turn yellow
So wht are competitive advantage for Robotaxi
No taxi driver taking you the long way and no tipping.
👍
If I'm taking the taxi, I will try out the little hammer to see if it works 😅😅😅
China is best ❤
When you come to an intersection, what happens if there's a driver coming from the left or right and ignores the red traffic lights? Happened to us in Shanghai - thank god our taxi driver acted quickly. By the way, I made sure my father who was sitting in the front seat to wear his seat belt even though the driver insisted it wasn't necessary.
lol, passenger sitting in front without seat belt is illegal in shanghai, passenger will not be penalized but the driver will be fined ¥300
@@xiaohuwang3221 I was there 15 years ago. Perhaps things have changed.
It will stop immediately unless with little reaction time
Thanks
Four years ago, I saw Baidu's autonomous vehicles being tested on the road in Beijing. Now that the technology is more mature, that's why they are being commercially tested. When autonomous vehicles become popular in Chongqing one day, it will indicate that China's autonomous driving technology has broken through a new bottleneck.
As there are more self driving cars are deployed throughout Chinese cities, there will be a need and motivation to make the roads and using of the roads more orderly. Self driving cars will make Chinese roads much safer to travel. People won't park their cars random on roads or cross roads randomly, as the rules will be much stricter now given the deployment of self driving cars.
really Impressive!
Indeed it is..
If AI is going to be self-aware it is going to happen in China not San Francisco in the US. Then the T800 will be a Chinese looking folk.😁
Pessimist, if you think like this, optimist is embracing the future.
In majority of Chinese sci-fi novels AI are generally presented in a positive light, more akin to children or people with a very pure albeit naiive mind. And the protagonists treats them as children and nurture them and teach them on human values. The way you bring up an AI would be the same way you bring up a child.
This is probably a decade in front of us in the uk. The US only has predetermined routes for their system.
In the future, with driverless cars, Hollywood crime movies will be unable to have the hero jump into a taxi and tell the driverless car to "Follow that car!"
Haha…😅
It is entirely possible, when you combine interface with ChatGPT like service.
@@tonglianheng would be real interesting to see how they'd do it!
Thats massive 🎉
🎉🎉
Western media would label this ghost cab as in ghost town
this is good but only for the areas that are less populated and have lees traffic because people mostly dont respect the distance between cars
It has been tested in the less populated area for years. Today this driverless taxis are tested in the very crowded area, the center of a megacity with 14 million population.
Wuhan is like really big city in China. They are introducing this service to Beijing as well.
Not too long ago people were afraid to fly in the sky 😂
going to Chengdu, China
Great clip ! China already indeed lead the world and live in the future already !!
4 bucks for three and about 17 km? That is dirt cheap.
29 Yuan is about 4 USD for a really long ride. Well get your Amazon and NVIDIA stocks today...
sara ai will do everything
Robotaxi is real now
17 kilometers is equivalent to 4 dollars. The price is very suitable
future has come.
I can't wait for The improved version without the drivers seat or steering wheel to fit more people.
If this is in OZ there would be no more excuses for Revenue raising cameras..😅😅😅
11:37 people in the US already attacking self driving car. just youtube search: "people attack self driving car Waymo"
US, lol primitive of the primitive countries.
Shake my head….
crazy ...,but why?
Of course, that will be the future. For cities that are designed or adapted for this type of mobility. Certainly easier to realize in any large city like Wuhan than perhaps in Munich or Rome. And in small towns, this type of mobility will not exist at all or be limited to only a few miles . Individual mobility will remain the dominant mode there.
What was the total distance covered? Just wanna calculate the prices 😅
The days of making money as an Uber are numbered

Do you have this in the U.S or EU ?
Yes many years ago.

China should start to consider 3day work and 4day rest week into law . Because productivities and service industry enable to increase 6 folds thru continuous achieving AI automation .
Better living standards 💯👌
The funny thing is that China can't even implement the two-day holiday system, most people can only have one day off a week, or even one day off every two weeks. More than 240 hours a month, even 300 hours a month.
