Good concept. Bad ejecution. You have to put the forearm on the mat. Not only your hand's palm. Because legs are strongers than arms, and if the other guy defense, you wouldn't stop his feet whit your hand, when he lunch it back with all the force of his leg (he even can injure you). We use the forearm to have a bigger friction surface with the mat, and get more grip. In this way, we can hold the control of the feet even if the other guy try to quit the feet back. For that, you have to step outside with your feet, go lower, puting the knee in the mat, (an outside penetration step, yes, that exist) and using the other hand to stabilize your body (this time, yes) the palm. It's important measure the distance, and step a little further than when we do an outside high single leg. The head goes inside his legs, very low, and you have to elevate the feets, leting the weight on the knee, forearm and palm of the other hand, to use the hand (in your case the right, because you are doing it for your left side) to push you in a lateral spin that makes you go outside, with the feet controled like you are doing. Obviusly you have to be faster to do it like i said. And it requires more technique.
It's an outside single leg, you don't need a "penetration step" for it. If you're going to post a comment make sure that you know a penetration step usually applies to the high crotch not an outside single when you're trying to be quick.
It's not that your enemy is too heavy it's that you're weak (unless for some reason you aren't in his weight class) work on your muscles dont worry you'll get it! I had the same problem.
ha that wasn't a very good penetration step and not a very good single leg... just saying... if your gonnna put videos out on how to coach know what a good penetration step is..
Thank you very much !.. this really helped me, I am a first time wrestler in school and i really appreciated this clip. Thank You !
Hey man this comment was from a long time ago. But how was it did you enjoy wrestling
The clinician is absolutely correct, this also works well right off the whistle with a good level change. Good video and thank you.
So many more finishes you can do from that position than what he shows this was my bread and butter shot :)

The wrestling one is cool because you are away from the opponents range
