Pulling the trigger N times is usually faster than a reload, but slower than pulling the trigger N times, finding it was a dud primer, and then reloading. I ordinarily reload, fix the scored error, and return to plan, if needed.

Yes, just shooting 1 round and reloading would have probably been slightly better than what I did as well since I could have at least kept moving during the extra reload. In this case it was definitely a short stroke though. First stage of the day in fairly cold conditions == poor finger dexterity

If you had to shift in the box it wasn't a violation of the position or view rule.

I moved my feet but if you started with a wide stance then you would be able to shoot all targets without moving both feet, which is the glossary requirement for a location. 1.2.1.2 says "nor allow a competitor to shoot all targets in the course of fire from any single location or view"; if it's possible to shoot all targets without moving both feet then it's not legal.

The walls are vision barriers. Before we kicked it out so you HAD to move it was illegal. Now its not.

Still a shit stage tho. Dave got angry at me when i said stand&deliver stages aren’t just boring, they’re straightup bad stages. Case&point
