The temptation to try a few practice swings must have been incredible, you showed remarkable restraint sir ,well done to all involved
Ahahah, thanks ;-)
Exactly my thoughts.
....I say this.. with full meaning in my heart
Curse you that you got to be up so close to such wonderful swords that I'll probably never get a chance to....
My envy is as strong as is my gratitude that you guys video'd all of this...
*Shakes fist *
after coming back from practicing reglas I decide to clean my montante while watching youtube.
Federico post this
I guess today is montante day for me
Great video
Perfectly in time it seems!
My fratello in spadoni, I'm half a world away from Italy but if I ever get the chance you bet I'm visiting that museum
You'll enjoy it for sure!
Someone should make a 3D print of these treasures, to more accurately reproduce them.
Yes 3d scanning is important , museums should do it
Really amazing video. The camera work and the depth of observation is fantastic. Thank you!
Thanks Jeff!
This was incredible! What a collection of beautiful swords in amazing condition. Thanks for post Federico-amazing!
You are welcome! I’m happy you appreciated
Casually I saw yesterday several artistic representations of montantes with finger rings on the crossbar. They are on representations of the sons of Jacob on the Museum of La Seu d’Urgell. From mid cinc-cents catalan religious art
Oh! Really interesting!!
@@FedericoMalagutti I think I have you on FB, I’ll send on DM
OMG! That is so awesome!!!
Very cool.
Beautiful
No, in realtà avevano diversi utilizzi.
It's ALIVE...
ahahah!
Ooh pretties!
very, very cool. But you did make 2 mistakes:
1:05 crossguard 448 cm
5:48 weight 40.5 cm
44,8 cm
The weight I should check instead
Spadone is cool 👍 But i prefer colossal swords 😎
So döppelhanders?
WTF is a colossal sword?
