I’m still gutted that she’s gone. There was and will never be anyone like her. It’s difficult to pin point one favourite song but Love is a Losing Game, Mr Magic and Tears Dry on Their Own are favourites.

Amy had one of the all-time great voices. I saw her perform in Glasgow and she was great. Unfortunately she had a self-destructive streak and was mistreated by certain people close to her. She could've become a Superstar. Back to Black is my favourite of hers. She's beautiful in the video.
Amy loved St Lucia in the Caribbean and was a regular visitor here .....
I've lived on the island ... for the last 5 years so know of her favourite spots. She was liked and very well respected here.

Just discovered your channel. I seen Amy at the V Festival in 2008, she was worse for wear, got pushed onto the stage to a booing audience & could barely get her words outs. It was difficult to watch, she clearly needed help 😢 she was so talented, I love her music & that will never die

it is sad to see her grave,it breaks the heart she passed so young, it seems surreal!. i met her one night of i believe her brothers engagement party held at a private north london venue, she, and her father were performing, and i, was part of the team that catered for the party. toward end of party, i spent a little time with her adjacent to the bar, and had a little chat with her, i remember she was so polite, and thankful. i have a wonderful photo taken of myself and amy.., this was probably not even a year before she died, maybe a little longer than a year, i cant remember the exact date, all i know, i was shocked and saddened by the news. for the unfortunate level of addiction she had, i will say her soul was perfect, she was friendly, polite and heartfelt in socialising with people outside of her fame. i am proud that i had a little time to speak to her, and grateful for the opportunity.

I attended the Isle of Wight festival, in either 2007 or 2008,can't quite remember, and saw Amy perform withe the rolling stones. A little later whilst walking back to my tent Amy and her assistant drove past on one of those golf cart type vehicles, very close to my group, and I have to say she looked painfully thin and gaunt,with a very pale complexion. So sad she passed so soon.RIP Amy,you are sorely missed.

I'm a big fan of her from when she was alive. I'm friendly w Zalon, Blake and Sophie Schandorff. Years ago we documented her daily schedule covering the release of Back to Black to her death. It was astounding to see that she never got any rest Ever! Even her vacation days were spent with loads of people around. No peace whatsoever. I just finished reading her mums book. That was especially hard to read knowing the outcome. May she rest in peace. My favorite song is "Love is a Losing Game" I myself suffer from addiction (I'm over a year sober). That song is relatable

You have to take each breathe that you breath with such sincerity or you may not return to hold your intentions here in our world. These are worring times for us all. “Valerie” is certainly great, but it’s actually a cover. If you haven’t already, you should listen to her entire Back To Black album. She wrote the chords and lyrics to every song, most of which with very little or no help from anyone else, played guitar on several tracks, and even recorded all her own backing vocals to be edited in post.

Saw her at the Barrowlands in Glasgow in 2007. Fantastic gig and i'm so glad that i witnessed her live. She cancelled the tour soon after. Her lyrics were heartfelt and poetic, her voice was as beautiful as any in musical history and her death was a sad loss to creativity and art.💙
Would’ve killed to have seen her live just once. It’s a very unusual and frustrating feeling to know that I will never be able to see my all time favorite singer perform live. Unfortunately, when she toured America in 2007, I was only 17, so I didn’t have any money to travel from Vegas to L.A. and I would have needed a fake ID. In hindsight, I should’ve gotten that fake ID.
Also, that’s a beautiful sentiment regarding Amy. My partner and I were just discussing the magnitude of the loss, and how appalling some people’s flippant dismissals of her can be.
Its strange you just kind of knew she wouldnt be around, its so sad, I miss her music, such a loss.
