So glad you guys covered this! As a huge fan of the original books, I couldn’t believe it when I saw a proper designer attached to this IP as I assumed it would be just a cash-grab.
Still undecided on the game, but it’s great to have some detailed info to help me make a decision, so thanks again!

Final thoughts and with the designer…Couldn’t take „paid promotion“ or the initial „take this with a grain of salt“ statement to a more extreme level.
so are you saying you'd rather not have an interview with the designer about the development of the game? i would think that's a cool thing that folks would like, but the internet is full of surprises!
@@rahdo Yo rahdo team, love the channel and have watched for many years. It's great to see how you're expanding content and creators to get new audiences and experiences.
It is very odd though to have the final thoughts done directly in front of the designer. There is no way to avoid biasing the review in such a situation, and I've always loved the authenticity you guys bring to boardgaming.
Does that mean we wouldn't like to see interviews with designers? Absolutely not! It's a great idea. But to combine a game review and final thoughts with the interview is quite suspect. I only say this with respect for your team and enjoyment for the content you bring to us all.
I thought it was pretty awesome. Maybe it shouldn’t have been called final thoughts though. Sometime we all try to squeeze something into an existing framework but I think this ended up being more of an interview anyway (which is awesome). Sometimes it’s not the thing it’s the expectations.
@@rahdo No, of course U want to hear from him and you but I just wouldn’t call it final thoughts anymore because that clearly you won’t cover anything resembling cons in this conversation. This video is a preview incl. an interview
well the thing is, there really weren't really any "final thoughts" in here other than to say that shea liked the game. and if he didn't like the game, it never would have appeared on the channel in the first place. shea says 'no' to covering games almost as much as i do because neither of us want to waste our time playing crap!
so anyway, the only significant opinions expressed in this video are from john himself, so it's really more of a "designer's final thougths" than shea's if you watch all the way through! :)
Obviously your not going to criticise a game to much, when it's a paid preview and the designer is sitting next to you. That being said it was a good interesting look at the game👍😎
