Mate I’m with reev.. yes haaland is a robot but city are second. The way United and Newcastle have transformed their form around due to botman, Casemiro and a couple of other key players. They deserve to be high in the list, the impact is felt more with these players than with haaland.

even then reev is undermining haaland so much. So far the guy has played 19 games and scored in 15 of them. He only didnt score against liverpool chelsea united (2nd time) and brentford. In all of those games the guy didn't even get a chance because city weren't creating well. he's also severely overrating casemiro and botman as signings. While they've had a massive impact, they are one of five different signings that both teams made. Lisandro Eriksen Antony Malacia Casemiro, and Botman Burn Pope Bruno Guimaraes and Isak. Haaland is basically city's only first team signing.

I think the fee, impact on the club and play style all come into the equation. The ‘best signing’ should factor in how much of a hole the player has filled in a team. After 27 games City had scored 1 goal less than the same stage as last season even with all of Haaland goals. They aren't scoring anymore than they were before, they have changed how they play and are simply running everything through him. What he has done is unreal but his impact has changed much for City.. They haven't even increased their amount of goals.

Gents, Haaland scored 25 PL goals in 19 games not 20. He was injured for 1 game. As for City defense, Pep has chopped & changed the backline so many times, there’s not been a single backline lineup and position that has stayed the same for more than 2 games. That’s what is sinking the defense as well as some of the injuries. But Pep hasn’t allowed the backline to build any chemistry or partnerships bc of all his changing to a degree we’ve never seen before.

I didn't forget that part. He didn't score in the final 6 games of the season. He didn't score in either leg of the Champions League semi final, despite City scoring 5, or score in the final. He didn't score in the FA Cup final. He's a magnificent #9 but I don't think he has been the difference-maker he's made out to be, hence why I don't think he's the signing of the season despite racking up plenty of goals. He didn't drag Man City to a treble, he just took part in it. You'd have a stronger argument if he hadn't scored so many goals but did score the crucial goals to get to the final, then win it.
