    Hi Lisa! Thank you for this video, and thank you for your fabulous brushes! As I watched this video, I was reminded of one thing that would be so appreciated - could you please clip your hair back when doing makeovers? In this video, I felt somewhat distracted as you were frequently tucking your hair behind your ear, but it did not stay. So you were doing it quite often. I would love to be able to focus on your application tips, but with your hair down, we can’t even see where you have applied your contour and/or blush. Thank you for considering this! And thank you for all your tips! ❤

    My concern with using the brush like that to tap foundation into the skin is with clogging my pores. Especially since I can't fully clean and disinfect my brush every day. I smooth my foundations on with my fingers then pat in with a damp beauty blender, using each sponge only once before throwing it away. That's definitely more hygienic and less likely to clog pores or lead to breakouts, but I wonder if the pore blurring effect achievable with the sponge doesn't match that achievable with the brush. Have you tried both?

    • @lisajmakeup
      @lisajmakeup  5 місяців тому

      Yes! I like a brush that has density to it but it has to be soft at the tips to blend out better. A brush that is too dense is like using a dry sponge to blend out. It just wont work as well. I love our BK Beauty 106

      Do you use good hydrating skin prep -like a nice hydrating toner? I have found that makes a big difference. I use the I’m From Rice toner and then follow with my moisturizer and SPF and it makes a big improvement. I never used to use a toner before but then life happened and I got old and drier. LOL 😎😎😎
      Oh yeah one other thing I wanted to add-- if you use an exfoliating toner in addition to the hydrating one it will really eat up those dry flakes. I just bought Naturiums BHA toner and it has worked wonders at dissolving the dead tret flakes ♥️👍🏼😎

    Thank you so much!!!! It’s my death sentence in makeup ~ huge!! I’ve been on this quest for the pore-less coverage. You have no idea 😮. Question why do you think cosmetic companies make primers so small? Is it $$$? Am I losing my mind when back in the day the primers were ruffly the same size as the foundation bottles? It just seems that those of us that need primers their are just gauging us at the check out stand or am I losing it?? Being too harsh? ~ thank you so much for the therapy moment everyone!!!

    Why did you use 106 brush and not 101? If I have one option to choose in foundation brush then why one should I go for?

      It really is about preference in how you like to apply. I love a little smaller brush head and I like to "buff" into skin. The 101 is our best seller and everyone loves that it is larger because it makes it so quick to apply foundation! It is great if you like to tap and sweep your foundation on. 106 is great if you like to tap and buff in circles.

    I can't really get behind the idea that a foundation can be great for dry and also work for oily skin, makes no sense; honestly, I'm fairly certain that I tried that L'oreal foundation and I have oily skin and it did not work for me, just sayin

    If a foundation is good for dry skin it will NOT be ok for my oily mature skin!!!

    I really like watching this type of content, but honestly every other week you recommend different products. I’m just an average consumer and can’t keep up with buying all these products. Well you must get sponsorship… just saying

      You don't have to buy every product she recommends. If you have your holy grails, just implement her content on techniques. She is giving recommendations to people who are looking for specific things.

      It seems influencers recommend every product! Wait - you said the best were these 10 products three weeks ago- and now an entire new set of best products! I don’t really notice the difference in the ‘different’ make up looks- with any influencer. Just my opinion after watching several influencers over these winter months- (plus several influencers know each other- even friends ) doing collaborations- recommending each others products ( sell this influencer’s BK beauty brush line- Nikki has her own BK set and I think the Hot and Flashy influence has her set of brushes)

      @@lesann1896this is her (their) job after all. It’s how she pays the bills and takes care of her kids. It’s her job to promote her brand and try different products and show them to us. Don’t take it so seriously--it’s supposed to be enjoyable 😎♥️.

      She actually said you don’t have to go out and buy these particular products it’s just what she grabbed for this. Also this is about technique, using products in certain ways not using certain products! And if you like watching this type of content then watch no need to comment and be rude by implying she lies….just saying!

      @@lesann1896then don’t watch move on. She does not push her brushes on you but of course that’s what she is going to use, and I think it is great that she lets other influencers come into her business to invent their own products without having to put up all the money for them to create their own business! Really women should encourage women not try to cut them down! If influencers upset you so much then don’t watch influencers!
