I want to take a moment to appreciate the pit orchestra (especially since I don't see any praise for them in the comments) I mean the pieces are really crazy. For violin it's either tremolo or really fast and high positioned. Amazing performance.

"You're hungry.. If i *say* you're hungry". "Thats ridiculous!" "what did you say?" "you cant go around *ordering* people to be hungry, it doesnt work that way" lmao im dead
I've had the honor of being Cogsworth in my local theatre, and I must say, our performances are soooo different. This is my first experience in a main role in a musical this big, so I wanted it to be original, and I really like the way he interpreted this character.
I know it's not one of the most popular scenes, but shout out to the cast and crew during the wolf attack. The costume design and movements make it obvious that yes, these are wolves, not lost people wandering in circles in giant pajamas. (I've seen this play done by a local community theater, and I was disappointed.) Then Belle obliviously walks straight into danger, and trying to get out of trouble just increases the strength of the ambush, and after proving her efforts futile, the wolves are ready to carry her offstage, just as real wild animals will drag off a carcass. When the Beast arrives, the wolves actually look like they're fighting him rather than simply walking in a circle, and we even see one wolf specifically go for the arm, the injury that Belle and the Beast will argue over. When the wolves retreat, they're clearly injured, and the Beast tries his macho act of being tough and cooly walking off after a fight without needing help...only to fail miserably. Very convincing attack and rescue. Bravo! Encore!
Belle does a good job here too. Her screams are of genuine terror, and she's actually trying to fight the wolves the only way she can. Her efforts are genuine, but futile, but that's not the flaw of the actress; it's a character thing. Belle is a bookworm who's probably never been in real danger before, so she'd be quite unsure of herself in this situation, and trying her best is quite frankly not going to be nearly good enough when dealing with a pack of wolves. I've had the displeasure of watching a local performance where Belle just sort of batted the air with her stick or held it close to her and didn't really move, but this Belle is genuinely trying to survive...failing, of course, but it's survival instinct at its finest. Like I said, we can all tell she's afraid of the wolves. She fears they will administer gruesome, excruciating execution, and she's probably right. Some people I've seen in this role look like they're just hanging out with the wolves: no screaming, no fighting, no looks of terror...but this Belle is in horrific terror, believes she must do everything possible to fight (literally) for her life, and seems like she will have some sort of nervous breakdown or the onset of PTSD. Then there's the unspoken conversation between her and Beast that's hilarious as heck because it's so dang realistic. "Oh, you poor creature! You got hurt defending me, just like a brave knight in the books I've read! That's so noble! And I just can't stand to see an animal in pain! Here. Let me make you all better." "Take a hike, woman! It's bad enough you got me into this mess! I'm fine! Real men don't whine over every paper cut!" Then he falls and probably mutters an interjection of choice under his breath. I can just imagine this tone of interaction for "Why don't we pull over and ask for directions?" "I don't need directions!" "Fine. Then I'll ask!" :P
When my community college put on this production, the wolves were puppets on rods. There were only a few actors puppeteering them but they did an excellent job, that scene was genuinely scary!
@@proverbialloaf I've seen some productions do it with puppets, and if done right, it can be a very intense scene. Puppets have more freedom to bite and get thrown around a little, so they can make direct contact with the actor playing the Beast, whereas a human playing a wolf would have to be more careful that they didn't bruise each other. You can also show the size difference a little better with human actor and puppet rather than two human actors. Bottom line: I totally believe you if you say your college made this scene genuinely terrifying with puppets, and I'm really happy that it worked out so well for everyone.
There are 2 things my favorite in this: 1. The way Lumiere talks sounds like he's really France 2. The line of the Beast when dinner is ready. "Fine, then starve. If she doesn't eat with me, she doesn't eat at all." Just the growl, angry way he saying that line gives me everytime goosbumps. (This is the 4th time a watch this I guess)
yes and I like the idea behind the song where Belle realized that she herself gets to create the home or perfect place for herself with her own inner strength and beauty and she doesn't have to go outside to somewhere else to find it because she creates it wherever she goes. but of course it is still fine for her to have adventures in a great wide somewhere
Wow this was really well done!!! Emily, your voice is OUTSTANDING!!! Rob was hysterical as Lumiere and so was the girl who played the feather duster! Great job to the orchestra and the crew! I've always thought it would be a lot of fun to play Gaston in this show.
Oh. My. Sweet. Lord. I've looked for ALL musical so much time and finally found it. Actors and actress are just amazing (I'm little in love with voice of man who reads prolouge...). Thank you for make possible to watch it on YT❤
This is an amazing musical! Im very interested in the arts and watching this was a very interesting and amazing experience! Thank you for sharing this for free! The costumes, the acting, the singing, the choreography, everything is lovely! I love how the actor portrayed Lumiere and Mrs. Potts and Clocksworth were fantastic too! Not to mention everyone else who took part! It blew me away when The Beast started singing too! Despite his ‘appearance’ as a character, his voice is soft as velvet. Amazing actor! As a cellist I also appreciate the orchestra a lot. I’ve had experience playing in an orchestra and I can guarantee that playing those pieces so exquisitely wasn’t easy. Especially so in time with the acting! ❤❤❤
I played Lumiere and used this for study for the role, he is totally my fav. Love Lumiere in this production 💛💛, and to everyone who is female and wants to play Lumiere or any male role that’s possible for a female to try - go for it! I did and I was a perfect fit! So never give up just because of minor inconvenience!!💕

I listen to this full musical both at school and at home, and I really love beauty and the beast so much, this musical will always stick with me forever and ever. I love everything about this musical, the costumes, the songs, the background sets, the music, everything about this musical is just so beautiful.
Woooow Emily, you are a million times better than Emma Watson as Belle. Absolutely the embodiment of Belle. The spirit, the liveliness, the hopeless romantic dreaminess of the look in her eyes, like she believes in a much better life... in a world full of beautiful dreams, marrying for love and finding a man who will love her completely. BRAVO!!!!
Emily you nailed Belle her personality’s really hard to embody perfectly you were amazing and so were the rest of the cast! You’re singing was beautiful:)
This is just brilliant. I adore the beast, he was so charming and cute ,, yet scary and larger than life in the beginning. Cogsworth, lumiere and babette were perfect! Also I cried when mrs Potts saw chip when they were human and he jumped into her arms. So freaking cute. I’m playing belle in an upcoming production so I watched this for inspo but was mesmerised. Costumes amazing too!
And of course, Emily you were wonderful. But that’s a given - we have such different voices so it stresses me to think how I’m gonna do the high stuff as well as you do 😂
Romanticwaffle Thank you for your comments!! I was so impressed by our cast. Have the most incredible time playing Belle and enjoy every moment. Every voice is different just like every interpretation of a character will be different! You were cast for a reason. Break a leg! ❤️
Gaston does amazing in this performance, and he was a great pick, but he always cracks me up when he talks or sings, and it’s just higher or less manly of a tone than you expect from Gaston
This was truely an excellent play. I really enjoyed it! All of the characters seemed so real, the lighting and sound was OUTSTANDING, and everyone did a great job! Good work!
As someone disappointed with the remake and the choice for Emma Watson as Belle, I thoroughly enjoyed this musical. All the actors/actresses perfectly captured the essence of the story in a way the remake could not. Emma Watson could not embody Belle's gentleness and grace nor her liveliness. And we could actually understand here why Belle and the Beast fell in love. And the Beast's song really helped us understand why he is the way he is. A real shame about the remake but this is a true gem. You did a beautiful job as Belle. You really captured her spirit. Everyone did an incredible job. The sets, special effects, and the wolves were done very incredibly well. Kudos to you all who helped bring this to life. ✨🌹✨
I was never really into disney, but beauty and the beast was always my favorite. This performance is hands down the best thing i have ever seen. Thank you for helping to bring disney to life and bring my childhood nostalgia back. :)
My community's youth theatre did a production of Beauty and the Beast and our Gaston was a babyface 🤣 he had the voice for it, and he looked and sounded like gaston, but when you looked at his face, you could tell he was 13
This production of my favorite musical is entertaining to watch, I love watching the guy that plays Lumiere. The original Broadway musical debuted 4 days before my birthday in 1994, I'm inspired by any high school or college production of the same musical. Well done!
Belle is my favorite princess and this actress more than does her justice. Lovely singing voice and gives Belle strength, warmth, and kindness. I really love that the play humanizes the Beast more. That moment where he brings her food only to discover that she’s not even there to see it, along with the moment where he voices his fear that Belle will laugh when he tells her he is in love with her, are very powerful character moments for him.
i literally cried through the whole performance. i can't believe i've cried so many times, cried to the beauty of this. thank you very for sharing this it was absolutely amazing
I’ve seen this show so many times and I always cry when chip and Mrs Potts see eachother as humans no matter what cast it is and no matter where it’s being preformed. It’s so adorable 😭😭
Thank you for posting the play this is the best I have seen prerecorded out side of clips in Beauty and the Beast Goes to Broadway a Disney channel making of the play. Thank You
One question: Why is beast wearing RED durring the ballroom scene... hes supposed to wear red in the beginning but over time he starts to wear blue! BLUE!
Danaaa130/TheMaleCosplayer Pro. Except the colours have specific correlation to the type of person the beast is either red: self absorbed and rude or blue: kind and worthy of love. Its the reason belle is the only person who wears blue, and Gaston wears red.
I originally found this recording a few months ago when I found out my school was doing beauty and the beast. As of yesterday I’ve been cast as belle! Your performance is amazing and I aspire to bring the character to life just as flawlessly as you!
God everything is amazing in this stage show; the costumes, the music, the backgrounds, the characters (Lumiere is hilarious X) Coghworth and Plumette are good too! Belle is incredible, so nice and brave; the actress is giving her all and it's wonderful!) The jokes and the drama are great, the songs are sublime. I love it!
Lumiere and Babette have me ROLLING! The scene where they’re talking about jealousy and Babette says “Veronique” and then Lumiere repeats it but with hip movements. It’s on a different level of funny to me because my French name is Veronique so I was SHOOK.

Ugh, why do I cry any time I see any version of Beauty and the Beast? I LOVE this movie so much!! Bravo, Brava!!!
During "No Matter What"....oooooh, the feels! Such great father-daughter chemistry, excellent performance! And Belle's voice...wow!
"You're hungry.. If i *say* you're hungry".
"Thats ridiculous!"
"what did you say?"
"you cant go around *ordering* people to be hungry, it doesnt work that way"
lmao im dead
I always crack up at the scene. Luckily I'm not on stage.

lumiere: perhaps you want to see the libary?
belle: you have a libary ?!?!
lumiere: with bboks ;)

Has anyone else noticed babette being the leader in the tango. It just sticks out to me as great characterisation
I've had the honor of being Cogsworth in my local theatre, and I must say, our performances are soooo different. This is my first experience in a main role in a musical this big, so I wanted it to be original, and I really like the way he interpreted this character.
God damn this Lefou snatched my weave and threw it all the way to mars
ALL OF LUMIERES PARTS
This really helped me with character studies and learning the accent 😁😁

The actor playing lumiere was AMAZING am i the only one who loved his acting? And he was hella funny
he really is! and continues to entertain. :D
The pit orchestra is incredible! Everyone is so incredibly talented!
In my show the wolves are the extension dancers... it doesn't look right.
It reminded me of Cats only the wolf edition :) Dogs? :'-)
There are 2 things my favorite in this:
1. The way Lumiere talks sounds like he's really France
2. The line of the Beast when dinner is ready. "Fine, then starve. If she doesn't eat with me, she doesn't eat at all." Just the growl, angry way he saying that line gives me everytime goosbumps. (This is the 4th time a watch this I guess)
Did anyone else see belle bring Maurice to tears while singing a change in me😭❤
okay.!
yes and I like the idea behind the song where Belle realized that she herself gets to create the home or perfect place for herself with her own inner strength and beauty and she doesn't have to go outside to somewhere else to find it because she creates it wherever she goes. but of course it is still fine for her to have adventures in a great wide somewhere
Coaoss
Wow this was really well done!!! Emily, your voice is OUTSTANDING!!! Rob was hysterical as Lumiere and so was the girl who played the feather duster! Great job to the orchestra and the crew! I've always thought it would be a lot of fun to play Gaston in this show.
As of right now I’m barely into it and already almost cried during the song with Belle and her Father
Oh. My. Sweet. Lord.
I've looked for ALL musical so much time and finally found it. Actors and actress are just amazing (I'm little in love with voice of man who reads prolouge...). Thank you for make possible to watch it on YT❤
And - God I miss tell about it! - you are perfect Belle❤
I love how classical Belle sounds! It's such a classy sound :). She looks amazing too!
ethalinia Thank you, I really appreciate that! :)
Ooooooooookkkk.
OMG I can't believe I found you here hahah she's fantastic for sure!
1:13:28 Cogsworth screaming is the highlight of my day.
Beast in the musical is so cute I love him so much🥰🥰 and Belle really lives up to the name she and her voice were stunning
The lighting just makes them look magical!
Just an Awkward Nobody I just found out my school is doing beauty and the beast and I am female I really wanna audition for lefou bc I just like his energy and I wanna try somthing new
@@lovelybones3737 Did you get him
I'm playing lumiere in May, I also think this is the best one I've seen
@@carterrettig7662 he gave it his ALL every night. lots of energy!
I am laughing at the guy playing Lumiere. He is perfect!!
Dstborxgb❤❤
The narrator sounds like a Comic book narrator, in a good way.
Come on, get real...he SOUNDS like James Earl Jones to me ! Let me hear him say "Luke, I am your father".
Idk why musicals make me smile a lot! like I was smiling throughout the musical awww😍😍😍 Lumiere acting is sooo cool
Ah! Finally! I love Susan Egan but I didn't really like how she sang as Belle for Beauty and the Beast on the original Broadway. But the lady who plays Belle here was amazing
That means so much, thank you Heidi!
Loved being in this show with this cast and my big brother❤️ It was an amazing opportunity! Love rewatching it to see the memories!!!
The entire orchestra and ensemble was simply perfection! Enjoyed this immensely! Thank you.
BRAVO!!!!
She did beautiful💙
This by far was the best I've ever seen the signing is wonderful the acting is wonderful
Jessica Mabb Thank you very much!
Gaston does amazing in this performance, and he was a great pick, but he always cracks me up when he talks or sings, and it’s just higher or less manly of a tone than you expect from Gaston
I keep trying to find one with a good belle to study, and this is what I needed! THANK YOU she did a great job.
Linnea Whitton Oh thank you! That means so much. ☺️
From.
Change in me was just beautiful. This whole production was beautiful from the cast to the crew to the pit. Everything was amazing. ❤️
“The spell is broken we are human again!” Everyone who deserves it should get a happy ending . Bravi well done rendition cast !
Daniel Raphael Thank you!!
I liked the song Human Again
This was truely an excellent play. I really enjoyed it! All of the characters seemed so real, the lighting and sound was OUTSTANDING, and everyone did a great job! Good work!
レモン Lemon Thank you sooo much!
Uuuuuuh oooooooookk.
Thank you so much for posting this I'm doing beauty and beast for my school musical so it's good to have a lil insight
I was never really into disney, but beauty and the beast was always my favorite. This performance is hands down the best thing i have ever seen. Thank you for helping to bring disney to life and bring my childhood nostalgia back. :)
the best Beauty and the Beast musical i've ever seen
Gaston looks more like Elvis Presley than the actual Gaston.
My community's youth theatre did a production of Beauty and the Beast and our Gaston was a babyface 🤣 he had the voice for it, and he looked and sounded like gaston, but when you looked at his face, you could tell he was 13
Gaston looks more like a pretty man than Gaston.
You are right he does look like Elvis Presley
I just spit out my fruit punch at the sight of that comment.
@@jasminnemcdonald94A He really does look like Elvis
This production of my favorite musical is entertaining to watch, I love watching the guy that plays Lumiere. The original Broadway musical debuted 4 days before my birthday in 1994, I'm inspired by any high school or college production of the same musical. Well done!
Happy belated birthday
Belle is my favorite princess and this actress more than does her justice. Lovely singing voice and gives Belle strength, warmth, and kindness.
I really love that the play humanizes the Beast more. That moment where he brings her food only to discover that she’s not even there to see it, along with the moment where he voices his fear that Belle will laugh when he tells her he is in love with her, are very powerful character moments for him.
hothotheat3000 Thank you so very much!
i literally cried through the whole performance. i can't believe i've cried so many times, cried to the beauty of this. thank you very for sharing this it was absolutely amazing
I’ve seen this show so many times and I always cry when chip and Mrs Potts see eachother as humans no matter what cast it is and no matter where it’s being preformed. It’s so adorable 😭😭
Anya G SAME!!
Any advice on how to help make that happen. Im playing Chip and I have no idea how to do it.

Thank you for posting the play this is the best I have seen prerecorded out side of clips in Beauty and the Beast Goes to Broadway a Disney channel making of the play. Thank You
Getting cast for this Monday. Reallllyyyy want to be cast as Gaston. Wish me luck! I’ve been speaking it into existence! I will play Gaston!
Did you get the role?
Veronica Jolie no. The director cast her son as Gaston.
That opening narrator has a marvelous voice, love it to bits
He was the same actor that played the clock:)

One question: Why is beast wearing RED durring the ballroom scene... hes supposed to wear red in the beginning but over time he starts to wear blue! BLUE!
Great question! You're right, that is what happens in the movie.
Jeremiah Ulufanua it's the theatre. Things are open to interpretation.
Danaaa130/TheMaleCosplayer Pro. Except the colours have specific correlation to the type of person the beast is either red: self absorbed and rude or blue: kind and worthy of love. Its the reason belle is the only person who wears blue, and Gaston wears red.
Yep, I agree with you! That was a costumer decision.
budget problem? probably
I originally found this recording a few months ago when I found out my school was doing beauty and the beast. As of yesterday I’ve been cast as belle! Your performance is amazing and I aspire to bring the character to life just as flawlessly as you!
How did it go?? I plan to try out for belle in a week and I'm super nervous because I have good competition!
Omg wow! I’m going to audition for belle and people at my school are very talented and I am not
So I hope I get it 🤞
How did it go?!!
Of all the performances I've seen, this is the most charming and enthusiastic Belle
49:07 LeFou: Gaston is the best and the rest is all drips! (hitting Gaston's foot)
Gaston: OW!!!
HAHAHA! That made me laugh when I first heard it
God everything is amazing in this stage show; the costumes, the music, the backgrounds, the characters (Lumiere is hilarious X) Coghworth and Plumette are good too!
It’s on a different level of funny to me because my French name is Veronique so I was SHOOK.

after just finishing doing sound for schools production of beauty and the beast now coming and watching an actual professional production of it i cant help but admire all the work that has been put in to make something like this happen that just goes un noticed. (aka all teckers, music, and sets etc)
Imagine this lafou in the actual live action movie... amazing

I love this performance so much! I recently got casted as Belle in my schools musical and I absolutely love the way she is played here!! It's amazing!
How’d it go!?!
I love this play. ❤️❤️❤️
Cogsworth’s screams were my best part. Also he was super funny! I love him in the play, animation and live action movies.
The narrator sounded very good. I mean, really cool. This whole version of the BatB play is okay in my book
